King Kamala Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 Hyannis Sound (acapella group)-Fields of Gold Am I the only one on this board who likes acapella music? It's been one of my big guilty pleasures over the past year or two. Love that shit. I'm also a big fan of "Fields of Gold", I hate solo Sting but I really like that song for some reason and "Russians" too.

Man Who Sold The World Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 Young Liars - TV On The Radio
Dobbs 3K Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 "Radio Nowhere" Bruce Springsteen. I've also been into The Cult a lot lately. Haven't gotten their new album yet, though.
King Kamala Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 Bruce Springsteen- 4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) The live version from Hammersmith Odeon London '75. One of the best live albums I've heard.
Steviekick Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 I've been really liking Public Enemy's Apocalypse 91... lately.

AntiLeaf33 Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 Bullet in the Sky - U2 I almost forgot how good this song is
Kinetic Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Just listened to Blueberry Boat for the first time. This shit is terrible.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Those three weeks when I liked it seem so long ago.
Guest Gym Class Fallout Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 It's such an auditory smorgasbord that I have to keep it in light rotation, but come on, it's not terrible. Led Zeppelin- "Gallows Poll" It's not a survey.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 If I were to listen to it now, I'm sure I could pick out some nice bits. So, I'm not saying it's worthless. Anyway, for what it's worth, even when I thought it was good, the album's back half totally dragged.
Guest Gym Class Fallout Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 "Quay Cur" and "Chief Inspector Blancheflower" manage to be pretty good start to finish. "1917" is pretty great, even if it's about that baseball team I hate (a few references to the South Side, "but not if he's from up north," name-checking a few of the Black Sox). "Birdie Brain" is cool, the beginning of the title track is cool but it loses steam. "Straight Street" does little for me.
Kinetic Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Mike Gundy has convinced me to give it another shot.
Gary Floyd Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 The Smiths-"Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others"
Kinetic Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 The Smiths-"Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others" I've always considered this song unnecessary at the end of The Queen Is Dead, but the title pops into my head a lot.
PLAGIARISM! Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 Blueberry Boat is good, but I never have any desire to listen to it through these days. We've discussed it before, but the second half of '1917' is the best bit and should have been the closer.
Man Who Sold The World Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 Orbital - "Beached" Just 'cause.
