1) The WWE product is better now than it was one year ago.

TRUE: Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit weren't Heavyweight Champions last year, and The Undertaker didn't come back as The Deadman charater last year. and the storylines this year have been pretty entertaining.

2) The WWE product is better now than it was three years ago.

TRUE: The Alliance Storyline bored me to tears.

3) The WWE product is better now than it is five years ago.

TRUE: Storylines were entertaining, but man, the WWF roster in 99 can't compare to todays roster.

4) I believe the in-ring product has improved in the last three years.

UNDECIDED: Pretty much the same to me.

5) I believe the storylines/feuds/angles have improved in the last three years.

UNDECIDED: Some storylines have been great, some had sucked. just like its always been.

6) I wish WCW and ECW were still in existence.

FALSE: I watched VERY little WCW and never cared for ECW.

7) The WWE will have no real competition in the next five years.

DON'T KNOW: Can't predict the future

8) It was smart for the WWE to go to a "less is more" in ring style.

TRUE I guess. We've still seen some great matches out of it.

9) I believe the RAW brand is superior to Smackdown.

FUCK NO: SmackDown! has been nonthing short but brillaint these past couple of weeks while Raw has been Just "eh"

10) If I could convince Vince Macmahon to push one guy on either roster to the moon, it would be:

RAW: Kane. Move him away from this damn storyline and push him to the main-event as World Heavyweight Champion

SmackDown!: RVD: Should be in the main-event right now

1) The WWE product is better now than it was one year ago.

True.

2) The WWE product is better now than it was three years ago.

True. I hated most of 2001

3) The WWE product is better now than it is five years ago.

False. In ring action wasn't great, but in terms of pure entertainment I had so much fun watching wrestling in 1999.

4) I believe the in-ring product has improved in the last three years.

True.

5) I believe the storylines/feuds/angles have improved in the last three years.

Probably true.

6) I wish WCW and ECW were still in existence.

True.

7) The WWE will have no real competition in the next five years.

True. Someone (other than TNA) will start up within the next 5 years that will have a good chance but won't be a serious threat. Not in the next 5 years.

8) It was smart for the WWE to go to a "less is more" in ring style.

True and False. It was smart for most of the roster but not all (cuisers and other specific individuals)

9) I believe the RAW brand is superior to Smackdown.

No shit.

10) If I could convince Vince Macmahon to push one guy on either roster to the moon, it would be:

Kane. Great look, long history, unique character, not a bad worker. He will always be someone people want to see. He was one of the biggest TV draws last year and can be again if built up properly. The guy might come out a fan favorite because of his current angle...

1) The WWE product is better now than it was one year ago.

A substantial amount of the dead wood on the roster has been trimmed, although occasionally it's been in the wrong places (Dreamer and Storm spring to mind as guys who have something more than backstage experience to contribute, but haven't had a chance).

2) The WWE product is better now than it was three years ago.

Hmm, tricky one. Three years ago we were at the height of the inVasion storyline, which produced some unique match-ups, if not some decent storylines. So a hesitant no.

3) The WWE product is better now than it is five years ago.

It's less trainwreck TV, but it's also lost a lot of the pace. Probably yes, though.

4) I believe the in-ring product has improved in the last three years.

Undoubtedly. For every generic hoss we've had come through in the last three years, someone on the roster has stepped up their game significantly, be it Eddie, Kurt, HHH... And some of the new blood has rightly had a major impact by upping the quality of the talent involved in matches - the Haas', Benjamins and Lesnars of this world, for instance.

5) I believe the storylines/feuds/angles have improved in the last three years.

Up until this year, yes. The development of the storylines in recent months has been dreadful, though. Smackdown's inability to storyline anything with any sense has been well documented and isn't worth banging on about here, but since WM there's been nothing that stands out as a decent story.

6) I wish WCW and ECW were still in existence.

Depends in what format. If it's the WCW or ECW of their imperial eras, then absolutely. If its the dying-on-its-feet ECW of late 2000/early 2001 or the WCW of the last 12 months of its life, then no chance. TNA has potential to emerge as a possible challenger - snapping up a WWE video producer is a sign they're going in the right direction production-wise.

7) The WWE will have no real competition in the next five years.

It doesn't have any now. If Panda Energy are happy bankrolling TNA it might emerge as a decent alternative, but there's never going to be a new Monday Night Wars equivalent.

8) It was smart for the WWE to go to a "less is more" in ring style.

If it minimises the injuries to the roster, forces them to tell a story in the ring and can still draw the audience, then yes. There's other outlets for breakneck speed spotfests. Limiting the high impact moves makes them more special.

9) I believe the RAW brand is superior to Smackdown.

God, yes. At least the writers on Raw can plot...

10) If I could convince Vince Macmahon to push one guy on either roster to the moon, it would be:

Christian. Developed an interesting persona in recent months, upped the performance in and out the ring, established himself as a good upper-midcard player. One final big shove, in the right programme, could see him through the glass ceiling.

1) The WWE product is better now than it was one year ago.

True. Last year at this time we were enduring a horrible HHH/Goldberg feud, and the McMahons were all over TV (Kane/Shane feud, Steph/Vince feud). It is better now.

2) The WWE product is better now than it was three years ago.

False. As big a failure as the Invasion was, it was at least original and the match quality was much better.

3) The WWE product is better now than it is five years ago.

True. 1999 was the worst year in WWE history.

4) I believe the in-ring product has improved in the last three years.

False. In 2001 we had Rock, Angle, Jericho & Austin at the top of the card and they all could have great matches with each other. Certain guys sucked more (Taker & Kane), but overall the match quality was better. Especially in the first half of the year when Benoit & HHH were still in their pre-injury conditions. Wrestlemania X-7 is the best WWE PPV ever.

5) I believe the storylines/feuds/angles have improved in the last three years.

False. I like the Orton/Evolution saga, but the rest of the storylines are either ridiculous (Kane/Lita marriage) or boring.

6) I wish WCW and ECW were still in existence.

False. I do miss them when they were at their peak. But at the end they were in worse condition than WWE is now. WCW & ECW dug their own graves, lay down in them, and then pulled in the dirt on themselves.

7) The WWE will have no real competition in the next five years.

True. TNA is a joke and they are the biggest competitors.

8) It was smart for the WWE to go to a "less is more" in ring style.

True. It might not work (the quality of matches have gone down), but it was worth a shot given the injuries they were getting before. Just look at the way injuries have destroyed the careers of Edge & Kurt Angle. HHH, Undertaker, Benoit & Austin all had major injuries and these aren't just nobodies.

9) I believe the RAW brand is superior to Smackdown.

True. Smackdown is dull as dirt. It seems as they lost their heart and soul when Benoit left and most of the wrestlers are just going through the motions. Only JBL even seems to be putting in effort these days.

10) If I could convince Vince Macmahon to push one guy on either roster to the moon, it would be:

Chris Jericho. Ship him to Smackdown where he can give some life to the show and then let him run wild as a heel, 98 style, where he was a complete asshole but could usually win clean. Face Jericho is crap, and he is doing nothing on RAW anyways.

2) The WWE product is better now than it was three years ago.

Leaning towards true

3) The WWE product is better now than it is five years ago.

True

4) I believe the in-ring product has improved in the last three years.

Kinda. It definitely improved, then leveled off over the last year or so.

5) I believe the storylines/feuds/angles have improved in the last three years.

They've been about constant.

6) I wish WCW and ECW were still in existence.

WCW - true. ECW - false. I watched ECW, but not being around really wouldn't bother me. I'd love to have WCW around, since they gave guys the opportuniuty to wrestle a wide variety of styles, and, towards the end, were willing to push new guys (although it was really only out of necessity).

7) The WWE will have no real competition in the next five years.

Leaning towards true, but I hope somebody steps up.

8) It was smart for the WWE to go to a "less is more" in ring style.

Leaning towards true, but they would really benefit by letting some of the more athletic guys open up their repetoire (i.e. cruisers).

9) I believe the RAW brand is superior to Smackdown.

The few months post-WMXX, true. Now, false. I've been digging SD over the last month or so more than Raw. Orton being champ isn't doing much to change my opinion, and nothing else on the undercard is really exciting me. While JBL/Taker is no great shakes, at least I'm into Cena/Book, Kidman/London vs. Chavo/Knoble, Angle being back.

10) If I could convince Vince Macmahon to push one guy on either roster to the moon, it would be:

Jamie Knoble. My favorite guy in the entire company. He's been getting decent TV time, and has been busting his ass. His Tiger Bomb has been *SWEET* lately.

Answer each question true or false, except for #10.

Feel free to add explanations to your answers if you'd like!

1) The WWE product is better now than it was one year ago. True

2) The WWE product is better now than it was three years ago. Pretty much a wash, though the screwed up Invasion was 3 years ago, so for that alone, True

3) The WWE product is better now than it is five years ago. In Ring-True, overall False

4) I believe the in-ring product has improved in the last three years. It's pretty much a wash

5) I believe the storylines/feuds/angles have improved in the last three years. No real change

6) I wish WCW and ECW were still in existence. Only if the quality in them was good. I could have cared less about either towards the end because they were a joke

7) The WWE will have no real competition in the next five years. True, start up cots are too much

8) It was smart for the WWE to go to a "less is more" in ring style. True, re-education of the fans takes time, but it'll work in the long run. Better for guys longevity too.

9) I believe the RAW brand is superior to Smackdown. True

10) If I could convince Vince Macmahon to push one guy on either roster to the moon, it would be:.... don't know yet. Too many guys( Jericho, RVD, Booker T) have been buried too long to be breakout stars. Maybe Matt Morgan, once he's ready, but they hurt him bringing him up *waaaay* too soon last time.

1) The WWE product is better now than it was one year ago.

No, it's about the same.

2) The WWE product is better now than it was three years ago.

No, it was still about the same.

3) The WWE product is better now than it is five years ago.

No. It's decidedly worse now.

4) I believe the in-ring product has improved in the last three years.

No. It has gotten worse, guys are forgetting how to sell more and more.

5) I believe the storylines/feuds/angles have improved in the last three years.

No. It's almost like it's stuck in an 80s revival right now.

6) I wish WCW and ECW were still in existence.

No because they were both pretty crappy companies. I wish WWE had better competition than WCW and ECW.

7) The WWE will have no real competition in the next five years.

Doubt it. Somebody will come along with an idea that catches on, all they need is a financial backer.

8) It was smart for the WWE to go to a "less is more" in ring style.

No.

9) I believe the RAW brand is superior to Smackdown.

Currently, yes.

SmackDown: Nobody at this time

1) The WWE product is better now than it was one year ago.

True. While we may have BRADSHAW as the WWE Champion, we don't have to sit through Triple H's reign of terror. While the Smackdown roster does leave a little something to be desired, the RAW roster is still very good.

2) The WWE product is better now than it was three years ago.

True. SOME of the right people are being pushed now.

3) The WWE product is better now than it is five years ago.

True.

4) I believe the in-ring product has improved in the last three years.

False. While the slower style may be safer, it seems boring to the average fans. They expect WWE to be nonstop action. If the fans aren't into the in-ring style, it hurts the product.

5) I believe the storylines/feuds/angles have improved in the last three years.

False. WWE are still making the same mistakes they've made in the past. They need to use the "less is more" concept and drop the more sensational stuff.

6) I wish WCW and ECW were still in existence.

True. WCW and ECW provided a viable alternative to fans. Without competition, WWE can just put out whatever they want.

7) The WWE will have no real competition in the next five years.

False. I'm very optimistic about TNA's future. If they can hang on for a little while longer, good things should happen for them. I don't think they'll ever get to WCW notoriety any time soon. They may become as well-known as ECW, though.

8) It was smart for the WWE to go to a "less is more" in ring style.

False. "Less is more" works better for storylines.

9) I believe the RAW brand is superior to Smackdown.

True. No matter which way you slice it, having JBL as your champion just isn't good business. I like the character, but he should be US champion at most. The Undertaker summoning lightning doesn't help things either.

10) If I could convince Vince McMahon to push one guy on either roster to the moon, it would be:

I'd really like to say RVD, but I think Chris Jericho has earned this spot. His first and only reign was basically sabotaged by people who didn't like him. There's no excuse for putting him back in the IC division.

9) I believe the RAW brand is superior to Smackdown. True, because it's designed that way. Plus, the live factor also attributes to that.

10) If I could convince Vince McMahon to push one guy on either roster to the moon, it would be: Chris Jericho w/ his 1998-99 persona. They obviously dig the gimmick since JBL is basically stealing from it. But Jericho was more obnoxious in an entertaining way. Plus, he could back it up in the ring.

1) The WWE product is better now than it was one year ago.

I say true. We had Chris Benoit & Eddie Guerrero World Title reigns and Triple H and Evolution as a whole have been entertaining me lately. Brock is gone now though.

2) The WWE product is better now than it was three years ago.

So 2001? I can't really remember anything from 2001, so I guess "True" by default.

3) The WWE product is better now than it is five years ago.

So, 1999-2000ish? False. That's when Triple H was getting good...Foley was still bringing the goods and The Rock was always around.

4) I believe the in-ring product has improved in the last three years.

True.

5) I believe the storylines/feuds/angles have improved in the last three years.

False. They haven't been good in a long time...however the Triple H/Stephanie/Angle "Love Triangle," despite the botched ending, is still better than anything WWE is doing today.

6) I wish WCW and ECW were still in existence.

True. Of course.

7) The WWE will have no real competition in the next five years.

I really don't know. TNAW doesn't seem like they're going to get the job done, that's for sure. So, I'll say True.

8) It was smart for the WWE to go to a "less is more" in ring style.

As far as health is concerned, I say True, as far as entertainment is concerned I say False. So it was smart as a business but it's bad for the fans.

9) I believe the RAW brand is superior to Smackdown.

Right now it's True. No contest.

10) If I could convince Vince Macmahon to push one guy on either roster to the moon, it would be:

Either Sean "Val Venis" Morley (whom would obviously need a new gimmick) or Rob Conway as a solo heel wrestler that was away from the evil foreigners gimmick. You said list one though, so I'll go with Conway because he's younger and can be molded over the course of a few years to what WWE want him to be.
