Guest Ex WDI Member Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 What songs are way up there with your epic favs but you don't want everyone else to know? Easily for me... Loverboy - Working For The Weekend Holy shit I have an unhealthy obsession with this song.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Neither am I, but people do a double take when I mention that I like Journey or Willie Nelson.
PLAGIARISM! Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 The first half of the Scissor Sisters album.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Traditional eastern musical instrumentals.
Black Lushus Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Neither am I, but people do a double take when I mention that I like Journey or Willie Nelson. ain't nothin wrong with journey....okay except for the seperate ways video...THAT was ass...
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Don't you ever speak ill of Journey in my presence.
Zack Malibu Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Like IDRM, I'm not ashamed of what I like. To each his own and all that jazz. My taste in music varies greatly from what you normally see discussed in this folder. Journey ruled. I actually had the chance to go see them a few nights ago (though they no longer have Steve Perry with them), but had to work.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Their current singer looks, sounds, and acts exactly like him. You wouldn't be able to tell unless you were up close.
Gary Floyd Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Guilty pleasures, sure, I've got 'em A few songs by the Pet Shop Boys "I Turn to You" by Christina Aguilara "Toxic" by Britanny Spears The new version of the theme form "Last House on the Left" in the end credits of "Cabin Fever"
Giuseppe Zangara Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 "Seperate Ways"—the song and the video—was the pinnacle of Journey's career, so shut the fuck up, Black Lushus.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Whatever, "Don't Stop Believing" all the way.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Anything that was on the radio from the 80's
Red Baron Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 I like Clocks by Coldplay. Its damn catchy
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Coldplay's radio songs are tolerable.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 I have no guilty pleasures. I can defend everything I like without shame.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 No guilty pleasures here either. I love all of the music that I listen to, and have no shame admitting the tunes that I like.
Guest ally mccoist Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 A few songs by the Pet Shop Boys "Toxic" by Britanny Spears The Pet Shops Boys have had some good songs, mainly their early stuff. West End Girls is a classic. I wouldn't really be ashamed to like their tunes. Toxic is a guilty pleasure of mine as well though. I didn't think anything of it at first, but I started hearing it in clubs constantly and it grew on me big time. That said, I usually don't lie about my music tastes since they are pretty varied. I'll grudgingly admit to liking the gayest music, i'm not that embarassed by it.
BUTT Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 I bought Journey's Raised on Radio last week, and it's fucking awesome.
Youth N Asia Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 "Cry" by Mandy Moore...hell, I like most of her singles. And "Pretend to be Nice" off the Joise and the Pussycats soundtrack
B. Brian Brunzell Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Toxic is a guilty pleasure of mine as well though. I didn't think anything of it at first, but I started hearing it in clubs constantly and it grew on me big time. I don't get the love for "Toxic." Britney's lyrics/vocals leave alot to be desired, and the stings sound like rape set to music. At least she's hot...
Black Lushus Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 I like a lot of music by Nsync and the Backstreet Boys...eat a dick haters! oh and Inc, Seperate Ways was the WORST VIDEO EVER!!!!!!!!
Lil' Bitch Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 "Toxic" by Britanny Spears anything from the Backstreet Boys "Rock Your Body" by Justin Timberlake
Black Lushus Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Everything ICP have ever done. that's it...you're fired...
Lord of The Curry Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 "Only One" by Yellowcard. God it felt good to get that one out. The violins part totally owns.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 Cry Me a River - Timberlake is an amazing song....
Corey_Lazarus Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 ...I like Journey... ...FAG! My guilty pleasure is "Scatman," but I don't feel guilty for loving the awesomeness of that song.
DCMaximo Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 As disliked as they are on this site, I think New Found Glory are pretty good. And I love Bowling For Soup. And I like a lot of emo (Jimmy Eat World, the Promise Ring, Finch, although strangely I can't stand Dashboard). Fuck it, I even own both Good Charlotte albums, and I like them both.
