Guest pepsi Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 link; http://pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=5238&p=1 text; " Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero got into an altercation backstage at Smackdown last night after the final segment of the show. As they came through the curtain, they exchanged words, loudly, in front of everyone at the Gorilla position. It quickly escalated from verbal to physical. The word was that Angle grabbed Eddie in a face lock and took him down to the ground, incapacitating him, before being pulled off by Johnny Ace and some of the agents. Then, they apparently got into it again further in the back before getting broken up again. From what I was told, Vince McMahon talked to both men about the incident before leaving the building. The rumor making the rounds was that Eddie missed his cue in the final segment, which made Kurt’s character look weak. Given the fact that Eddie hasn’t been himself lately, with some people thinking he hasn’t fully recovered from his recent concussion, the story I heard is that Angle grew frustrated and told Eddie to basically get his head in the game, and it escalated from there." * Surely you can't blame Kurt ??
Superstring Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Worth a talk over maybe but getting into a fight over a genuine (?) mistake seems to be just a tad childish.
algrim Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Eddie seriously needs some time off. Angle also needs to chill the f*** out with all his backstage "maneuverings."
Zetterberg is God Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 This has been an interesting day news wise. It's also time for Eddie to get off the road for a few months so he can rest and get motivated again.
The Czech Republic Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Already have a thread for this.
Guest JoeyStyles Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 In other news: More news on Angle's change backstage.... - Kurt Angle is getting a lot of heat backstage from other wrestlers because they feel he is too "pro management" and is playing politics backstage too much. [PWInsider.com] After reading this I could give 2 shits about Angle looking weak.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Since Angle is often injured he gets the mental rest and then gets to come back to the top each time. Whereas Eddie's been pounding away the last couple years. He definately needs a break.

Copied from PWInsider.com? Check. Bad grammar/punctuation? Check. Buh-bye, Glennsoe.
Lightning Flik Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Glennsoe again!? You gotta be kidding me. I do agree though that if this is really what happened, then Eddie probably is in need of some time off to rejuvenate and then comeback.
SinToxic Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Unless they'll let him rest he's one UT altercation away from getting monolo blahniked from WWE.
Guest fanofcoils Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Angle is being involved in creative probably because it is established that he gave his health to the company. He wasn't in the company long enough or Angle just decided not to get involved before.
SamoaRowe Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Ah, I was thinking the reason between the fight was anger from Guerrero for Angle politcing to beat him all the time.
The Czech Republic Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 You gotta admire glennsoe's commitment to providing us with news, bannings be damned. okay fine, not really
Kurt Angle Mark Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 This is what Dave Meltzer reported on the the incident Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero got into it last night backstage after the Smackdown tapings. Guerrero did a run-in early and Angle started yelling about it. There had been underlying heat leading to this. According to one source, Angle pushed Guerrero and Guerrero lunged after Angle, who grabbed him in a front facelock and held him down. Big Show and Luther Reigns talked Angle into letting go, but they were still hot at each other.
LooseCannon25 Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Wassup with Kurt man.....he's becoming such a fuckin dick
SuperJerk Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Nice to know who could kick who's ass for real. Angle>every one else. Hey, he's an Olympic gold medalist.
Hektik Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 A front face lock is not kicking someones ass.
Brett Favre Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 I think Eddie would win in a fight. He looks like he has that crazed mean streak. Sorta like when he fights the fans, he'd take it to Kurt if he really wanted to.
Australian Pride Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 No chance Eddie would win, Kurt would turn him into a pretzel. I think in Eddie's case you can use the 'Looks can be decieving' line. He looks aggressive and hot tempered but I doubt he could get it done in a fight with Kurt. Sorta the same way a so-called hardman like Goldberg couldn't beat a much smaller Chris Jericho.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Angle would wreck Eddie Guerrero, and you would be a fool not to think anything different. I would never fight an amatuer wrestler, let alone one who won a gold medal with a broken neck.

Sorta like when he fights the fans, he'd take it to Kurt if he really wanted to. What are you smokin? Eddy's what; 180-185 lbs. Angle is bigger and an Olympic Gold Medalist. Eddy doesn't have the skill or size to whip Angle.
frisco Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 angle would freakin kill eddie in a fight. I just think maybe that some shit went down in the match and they were blowing off steam. From everything i've heard eddie has been having some serious problems as of late so maybe they are taking a toll. He definately needs some time off.
Brett Favre Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 Blah blah blah. You don't see punches throw in amatuer wrestling. What is Angle going to do? Pin him? There's more to fighting than just out wrestling someone. And if it's the type of wrestling you see in the olympics, I doubt it will be too effective.
Brett Favre Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 Angle would wreck Eddie Guerrero, and you would be a fool not to think anything different. So you're the fool?

Angle would just take out his legs in a takedown, and will control him.

It's not like Eddie hasn't wrestled before either, so I doubt he'll just let him. And you're calling me a moron? From the person admitting he's a fool?
Dandy Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 It's true a wrestler can incapacitate someone in a fight, but Eddie grew up grappling as well. Granted Kurt is the superior amateur wrestler, but a fight's a fight. I couldn't guess who would win until I had seen both of them in a fight, and then anything could still happen.
Highland Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 Angle would win, he'd take down Eddie before he even knew what was happening. Angle had to re-train himself to slow down his pace for professional wrestling. Before becoming a pro wrestler he trained his entire life to take down people in mere seconds. Angle, no contest.
LooseCannon25 Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 The hell out of here with that superior wrestler, pin him down crap. It would be a FIGHT, not a grappling contest. Kicking, punching, biting, everything would be involved. Hitting in the nuts...anything. You do what you have to do to win a fight.
