Eminem's New Song

Recommended Posts

How do you even know what's on TRL? Are you watching it? I'm ashamed of you.

Yeah right, 106 and Park has more credibility just because it is on the black channel.

Pure Pop could be defined as making music where the only intention is to sell it in mass quantities, at the expense of weakening the genre.

Pure pop is a genre, and there's nothing weak about it.

I think in terms of "pure pop" rap though, his point is valid. A good example of this would be Ja Rule.

But what did Ja Rule think about 9/11? Holler at me Ja.

I thought his new song would be I'm Feeling It because Eminem only sells in the even years, in the odd years he does jack shit (2001, 2003 besides maybe a show or two and an awards show apperance).

Now Eminem, this guy in 1999 established himself as one of the best/popular rappers in the rap world, in 2000 with his new album established himself as one of the best/popular rappers in the mainstream world. After no selling 2001, in 2002 he did a movie which didn't boost his status one bit (just made more money), no sold 2003, finally showed up in 2004. I think there isn't much left for Eminem to get more popular, maybe getting more controversial and stop supporting Elton John.

I think he's more like Star Trek Voyager. Past his prime and shitting on his legacy.

The song is garbage, even thou this is his goofy pop single to attract the non rap white crowd. Whats up with Em lately? first he's talking real greasy on tracks after he signed 50 and then those racist tapes and he's swinging from Pac's nuts.

What tracks are these? Swinging from Pac's nuts?

^ Most of those tracks came off mixtapes, like that verse he had "I don't have to carry gun no more, because my bodyguards will shoot you." You can't deny he's on Pac's nuts with the "White Pac" shit, notice him and 50 were clownning Ja Rule for being a Pac wannabe but yet they (Em and 50) were still using Pac's vocals for songs as some way of showing "respect" or "tribute" but really they just exploit Pac to further their personal agendas. IMO Im nominating Em's new single as Worst song of the year, its definitly up there with "White Tee's."

Oh that is just bullshit. Nothing NOTHING compares to white tee in level of suck.

...

Unless of course if you count Black Tee or Pink Tee.

I think those are Atl exclusives though that only we have to suffer through.

But just think of how genius White Tee is....then make it worse...yeah...they are that back.

Ripper- Forgetting a throwback, looking clean in his white tee.

I actually like the song. Yeah, it's commercial, it has a pop sound - there will be darker elements on the album i'm sure.

I was of course being sarcastic about White Tee being great. The best part is the rumor I keep hearing that "OMG MIKE VICK WEARS WHITE TEES OUT IN BUCKHEAD CAUSE OF THE SONG!"

I think anyone who actually listens to "Just Lose It" wil agree that it's an awful song.

-It's not catchy.

-It's annoying.

-It's jokes and insults are stale and lack any bite.

-It doesn't appear Eminem even tried with it.

Basically, if this song goes on and becomes a huge hit, I'm going to to scream. I've been fond of some of Eminem's past work (most specifically his 8 Mile tracks) but this song sucks, plain and simple.

I will cry myself to sleep if Dre had anything to do with that song. From someone who did "Straight Outta Compton", to have any hand in this utter piece of crap is just sad. That annoying screaming in the hook is so fucking bad, and whenever I hear it I wanna put my fist through a wall

2001, he released the first D-12 album "Devil's Night" and doing promotions for it. He also was working on The Eminem Show album. And I'm very sure this is when he was working on the 8 Mile film and soundtrack.

2003, He was working on the "D-12 World" album.

If he's not at a show or on tour, he's either spending time with his kid or he's in his own or Dre's studio trying to come up with new shit for the next album.

Well, Eminem can't make a good song all the time. I didn't even like "My Band" that much and look where that went.

I'm no Eminem fan, but in his defense, with almost every album I own, the first single they put out has no factor in whether I buy the album or not, 9 times out of ten i just skip that track and listen to the 4 or 5 others that are usually ten times better, which I'm sure the album producers probably factor in throughout the course of the album making process...

It's the same thing Em has always done. He contradicts himself. he calims to hate all things Pop, yet the first single he drops from his albums is ALWAYS an upbeat, hooky, Pop-rap track. This newest one, however, is nothing but garbage. The beats, rhyme and insults are all stale and offer nothing new at all.

Even though I've never been an Eminem, his tracks have always sounded great. This one doesn't even have that. The music is very cliched for an Eminem single, though not as polished and well-produced as some of the others.

What, like Straight Outta Compton had some incredible production? It's my favorite song ever, but the production was no big shit. Unless you mean the whole album... but then you could say largely the same thing. And you have to give Yella his due there. Chronic was the peak of Dre's production.

I still sometimes think that Eminem was the result of a bet between Dr. Dre and some other people that Dre could push a white rapper and not have him become a joke like the rest

to answer Youth's question:

from the Marshall Mathers LP: My Name Is

from the Slim Shady LP: The Real Slim Shady

from D-12's Devil's Night: Purple Pills

from The Eminem Show: Without Me

from D-12s second album (can't remember the name): My Band

From his new album: Just Lose It

other than Lose Yourself from the 8 Mile soundtrack, goofy poppy songs are his standard procedure when he breaks out a new album...which is why i said earlier, you can't always judge an album by the first single you hear...

Why do people pretend Vanilla Ice was the only white rapper before Eminem and the Beastie Boys never existed?

I think the song is kinda catchy, but it's not the worst shit I've heard...i haven't paid attention to Eminem since the first D-12 album so I really don't care what he's up to these days...

I'm not so much annoyed that Eminem made a bad song as I am that it's going to be a huge hit anyway. It's already being played to death at the Best Buy I work at.

And don't forget Snow and House of Pain...

I would add Paul Wall to the list, but I'd mager Eminem came before him.
