snuffbox Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 Haircutting (or attempted haircutting) is a hot angle one again?
SamoaRowe Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 *Eddie comes out to the ring in a Mini with the Page 3 Sun girls. First, if the Page 3 girls aren't topless, then what's the point? Second, how many of them can you cram into a Mini? Third, I would've killed to see a modified Smart Car. With a bunch of topless Page 3 girls crammed in it. That Smackdown sounded a lot better than the crap that was this monday's Raw. I suppose most people would just rather watch Evolution vs Random Top Face team pt. 931. That's because Team Angle v2.0 doesn't have Dave, I suppose. Eh, doesn't matter, I'll still be watching Joey and The Apprentice... I suppose that Dave Batista is a sure draw. He gains over points every time he appears in a suit. Hm, wouldn't Batista vs Luther Reigns be a fun WM21 match?
Art Sandusky Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Who admits to watching Joey. Carlito spits on those who watch Joey.
Spaceman Spiff Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 And it looks like my streak of watching Velocity shall end at a whole... one. *sigh* I miss when Velocity was passable to good for a short time. No more Knoble = bad Velocity. Spike vs. Scotty? Blech. SD looks like it could be OK, but Velocity looks awful.
Gary Floyd Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 I have to see Smackdown, simply for Kenzo singing "Living in America"
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Hey WWE used by "Mysterio wins a battle royal and gets title shot" idea. Too bad he lost to Calito Fucking No Workrate Crappy Cocksucker.
Addy Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 I've just got home now. Pretty boring show, nothing much of note. RAW was miles better. Felt like a house show, hardly anyone looked interested to be there (bar Rey Mysterio).
Open the Muggy Gate Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 The Undertaker pinned Heidenreich with a chokeslam and tombstone. Paul Heyman was chokeslammed as well. So much for that push. Guess Taker nixed the program. And THANK GOD for that.

Twisted Intestine Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 *The Battle Royal for the United States championship shot featured Kurt Angle, Mark Jindrak, Luther Reigns, Scotty Too Hotty, Orlando Jordan, Rob Van Dam, Rey Mysterio, The Dudleys, Billy Kidman, Funaki, Kenzo Suzuki, Rene Dupree, Rico, Eddie Guerrero, and the FBI. It came down to Angle and Mysterio with Rey winning. Rey will challenge Carlito Caribbean Cool for the WWE United States championship later during the taping. *WWE United States champion Carlito Caribbean Cool pinned Rey Mysterio with a rollup and his hand on the ropes. Wait.. Rey went over Angle in a Battle Royal, then Carlito had to cheat to beat him, even though Rey would have been tired from his previous match.. By Gawd, you guys were right. Rey's always getting sqashed
starvenger Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Who admits to watching Joey. Carlito spits on those who watch Joey. Eh, I listen to BritPop and watch Power Rangers. I can handle admitting that I watch Joey...

The Niggardly King Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Carlito will end up with the JBL for US Title...don't expect any clean wins for him.
Australian Pride Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Carlito will end up with the JBL for US Title...don't expect any clean wins for him. That's just what SD needs, another lame-duck champ. They now have JBL, CCC, Rene/Suzuki and Spike, with none of them ever picking up a clean win. Fantastic.

Yup, and I expect Carly to end up being the next HTM. Meaning he won't do shit after this reign.
theintensifier Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Carlito sucks. He doesn't even look like a wrestler, he has ZERO muscle mass on his frame, his fro is lame, and so is his gimmick.
Guest Evolution Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Who admits to watching Joey. Carlito spits on those who watch Joey. Eh, I listen to BritPop and watch Power Rangers. I can handle admitting that I watch Joey... It would be COOL if you didn't watch Joey this Thursday. Anyway, Smackdown sounds a lot better than Raw, I'm sure Raw got a better reaction, but Raw just didn't seem that good on TV. I might actually check Smackdown out this week, lest I forget about it.
King Cucaracha Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Rob Van Dam pinned Rene Dupree after a German suplex. *spits out water* So, not only does Van Dam learn a new wrestling move, it's a finisher...and it's a german suplex? They could have at least given him a CREDIBLE move. Unless it's a shock counter or something. But still...a german suplex winning a match?

I must have been looking away that that point, because I could have sworn that the pin came from the Five Star. He did hit a huge release german suplex earlier in the match though, that Suzuki folded up from.

Guest Metallica Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 I was at both shows, Smackdown was much better than Raw. Even the Velocity matches were good (Scotty V Spike & Bubba Vs Rico), JBL V Holly was short, violent and funny, RVD V Dupre was good and RVD's release german suplex was brutal, the Battle Royal was very good with some great stuff with Rey and Angle, Calito V Rey was solid and Carlito looked better than most of the other new green guys and was good in working over Rey's arm. Eddie V Luther was short but a fun way to end the show. Taker was over like crazy, I hope that made the TV show.
