CBright7831 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 When was the last time Flair main evented a PPV? This might be his first time in the main event.
Lil' Bitch Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I'm expecting HBK to lose his smile again.
JoeDirt Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I just got home and quickly read the results from 411. So, how's the show been so far, match quality wise? Was Jericho vs. Shelton good? Keller gave it *3/4, for what it's worth. Meltzer said it was decent. Keller gave the tag title match *1/2...everything else has been in the DUD-3/4* range I guess.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 hmm.. Orton and Flair in the Main? Holy crap, reallyl? HHH/HBK is next? Â You know something... that is actually a pretty decent idea. Let the match that has been built up the best be put over what is looking to be a craptastic World title match. But this logic didn't fly to this board back in June.........................
slimm44 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Maybe with HBK's knee they're afraid of a sudden need to stop or end the match....and they dont want to end the hsow on a note like that. That's all I can think of Good point
SamoaRowe Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 This reminds me of Great American Bash when everyone was shocked that Eddie/JBL went on before Taker/Dudleyz. The only difference is that this change is a good idea.
Papacita Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I hope this isn't Shawn's last match. I've got a bad feeling about this.
JoeDirt Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I predict they pull a WCW Spring Stampede 98 and put the title on HBK, and then Hogan returns tomorrow night to win the title.
LooseCannon25 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I just got home and quickly read the results from 411. So, how's the show been so far, match quality wise? Was Jericho vs. Shelton good? JEricho vs. Benajmin was OK. Not very good. Jericho looked kinda lost in the ring tonight. Very hesitant, timid, and lethargic. Looks like he was sick or something
SamoaRowe Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I hope this isn't Shawn's last match. I've got a bad feeling about this. As do I
Guest Jim Ross Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I hope this isn't Shawn's last match. I've got a bad feeling about this. I hope its his last match against HHH....
Guest GreatOne Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I predict they pull a WCW Spring Stampede 98 and put the title on HBK, and then Hogan returns tomorrow night to win the title. Or Bash at the Beach 99
slimm44 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I predict they pull a WCW Spring Stampede 98 and put the title on HBK, and then Hogan returns tomorrow night to win the title. That also happened the night after Bash at the Beach '99 Savage vs Hogan  ^Beaten to it^
LooseCannon25 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Looks like HHH lost all that baby fat he had put on. Getting back in game shape.
JoeDirt Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I predict they pull a WCW Spring Stampede 98 and put the title on HBK, and then Hogan returns tomorrow night to win the title. Or Bash at the Beach 99 True, but in 98 Savage's knee was shot to hell, just like HBK tonight.
Lil' Bitch Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 In a sense, I'm kinda hoping HBK wins, he still never got his job back from HHH since Armageddon 02.
Repo Man jr Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Boards back... HHH beat HBK after Edge speared HBK. Really good match 100% better than I expected
strummer Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Meltzer: Â Flair vs. Orton in a cage match is closing the show. The last two matches really made the show. This was an old school cage match. Total bloodbath. Orton won with the RKO but Flair was the star of the show. They shook hands after the match and hugged. The finish of the match was something incredible with Flair and Orton's facials. Â Â Flair babyface turn?
Repo Man jr Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Boards back again... Randy won with RKO. Shook hands and hugged after the match.
Guest CronoT Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I just got home, so can someone please give me a rundown of who won? I've already seen who "won" the polls, so just the results will be fine.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Boards back... HHH beat HBK after Edge speared HBK. Really good match 100% better than I expected How about HHH's RAW pre WM promo? Â 'Your egos will be all the EDGE I need' Â Looks like he was seven months early there...................
JoeDirt Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Boards back again... Randy won with RKO. Shook hands and hugged after the match. I can definitely see HHH beating up Flair for showing respect to Orton. Maybe a HHH/Flair feud leading towards the Rumble and giving a challenger to HHH before Orton at Wrestlemania?

Aero Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Well, the show sounded awful as a whole, but I'll likely get the DVD when it comes out. The cage match sounds like it's worth a look. As for the Flair turn, I'm surprised it didn't end in a swerve... or are they saving Flair's millionth face turn swerve for tommorrow night?
Repo Man jr Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 The cage match was good btw. The crowd was really into both of them. HBK was really over too. I doubt many people can have a match were they can't stand and the crowd is totally with it all the way.
AlaskanHero Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 or are they saving Flair's millionth face turn swerve for tommorrow night? Tomorrow is Wednesday....
Guest Phenom Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I was 4-3 on stipulations, and 2-6 on matches. God, I suck on predictions.
Just call me Dan Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Can anyone elaborate why they have such a bad feeling about HBK? Is it his constant nagging injuries? I'd have to agree to a point, but I feel like I know his tendencies, and I can't see him calling it quits until he has a pretty decent title run (Not a one month fluke).
