Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Kind of early for The Incredibles, people have only had 2 days to see it so far. I went with Toy Story 2.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 How anyone can pick Monsters Inc above Toy Story 2 and Finding Nemo is beyond me. Â Monsters Inc has good chemistry with Goodman and Crystal but I hate that 4 year old girl. She's so damn annoying and it's just being WAY too cute. Plus it gets really draggy towards the end as they have nothing to do so they just send them into the snow for no reason. Â It's a good fun film but I don't get how can people rate it above Toy Story 2 or Nemo. I vote Toy Story 2 just for it's sheer brilliance
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 The fact that Toy Story and Monsters Inc have more votes then Finding Nemo make me think you people are on crack

Mole 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 I thought the girl wasn't annoying at all, but just too damn cute. I actually thought she made the movie. Â Nemo is a better movie, I gave it a higher grade, but I like Monsters better. Just a personal choice.
Guest Shutterspeed Report post Posted November 7, 2004 One thing that Pixar do extremely well is the view of the human being from something lower on the food chain. While Monsters, Inc. is great, something like Toy Story 2 is better better because of familiar situations, familiar characters and familiar surroundings coming together with intelligence and trademark Pixar charm. Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted November 7, 2004 I picked Toy Story 2, but I haven't seen The Incredibles yet. Â On a related note, I wish Disney would re-release the Toy Story: The Ultimate Toy Box DVD set. I regret not picking it up when I had the chance.

Kardo 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Toy Story 2. I really thought Bugs Life was sucky, the pay off at the end wasn't as good as I hoped, (I expected the circus bugs to do really fully stuff against the grasshoppers).
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Haven't see Incredibles, but Monsters Inc. easily take the cake.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 I still am not getting the Monsters Inc love AT ALL. Â I just don't get what people see in it over Nemo or Toy Story 2. I like the movies being cute but that little girl was way over the top and just got annoying. The part of the movie where it got all sad and they were banished to the snow had no place in the movie as they couldn't pull off sadness. Â A Bug's Life I always thought had a great climax with the ants fighting the grasshoppers. I thought it was pretty violent and scary and I love how all the false hope that the ants keep having before they finally pull it off. Hopper's come-uppance is great

Monsters Inc. falls to the first Toy Story though.

the max 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Personal opinion. Â Nemo was OK, but nothing special to me and I liked Toy Story over Toy Story 2.
Alro 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 I've not seen The Incredibles yet, so my vote goes to Toy Story 2, though it was close. I really liked Monsters Inc., but Toy Story 2 just seemed to have something that Monsers didn't.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 I don't understand that all. Â Toy Story is all about the animation and the story is pretty secondary. Woody being a bitch to Buzz got old real quickly and I had a hard time liking either character. Â Toy Story 2 made both characters much more likeable and instead of toys don't like each other- the story they came up with was brilliant and it actually did pose some interesting questions instead of: Hey toys- isn't Woody a bitch? Plus it has a great climax and the voice talent is improved with the additions of Kelsey Grammar and Wayne Knight. Just an incredible movie. Â Nemo is the same way but Nemo is more about the voice talent. Albert Brooks was perfect as neurotic Marvin and Ellen DeGeneres probably did the best voiceover performance I've seen since Robin Williams in Alladin. They also crafted the story so well that you generally cared for both Marvin and Nemo. You felt bad for Marvin because of his tragedy and really wanted him to find Nemo, even though he was kind of unlikeable. The movie always had Dory there to lighten the mood whenever it got a bit too sad. I love the false finishes at the end- once you think everyone is happy they give you one more jolt just to give you one last bit of suspense. Â The scene where Dory finally remembers Nemo's name is my favourite scene in Pixar history.

Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 The truth is that even though I claimed that these movies all sucked, I never watched any of them. I was too busy having sex and taking drugs, but now that I've given my life to Jesus, perhaps I will watch them all.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 7, 2004 I think the chemistry between Crystal and Goodman is better than most live action movies, and easily the best in any cartoon I've ever seen. It totally makes the movie.
brokentusk16 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 In my book, Finding Nemo is the greatest film. Best story, best animation, everything. Incredibles comes close, so it may change when i see it on DVD.
