Chuck Woolery 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 (edited) The Smartmarks Wrestling Federation presents... SWF STORM, LIVE, FRIDAY NOVEMBER 12TH FROM THE *PROBABLY SOLD OUT* DUBLIN ARENA IN DUBLIN, IRELAND! (5pm PST, 8pm EST; check local listings) Yeah, so you guys don't get a promo show after the PPV, but we've got a limited time frame and a lot to do between now and SWF's 'Twas The Fight Before Christmas! We're going to start off this cycle with a bang, and since Janus just got Minnie Mouse's number, that may be in more way than one! Bad puns aside, let us present to you... the card! OPENING PROMO: The Suicide King! Coming off a huge victory over former best friend "Grand Slam" Mark Stevens in a brutal Hell in a Cell at Ashes 2 Ashes, and considering he is still technically a bigwig for the fed's board of directors, one could say that he holds all the chips! Which brings us to the big question he'll answer tonight... what the hell does he do now? COLD FRONT CLASSIC SEEDING BATTLE ROYALE Christian Fury (SWF Tag Team Champion, SWF Hardcore Gamers' Champion) v. Landon "La Cucaracha" Maddix (SWF Intercontinental-Television Champion) v. "Hollywood" Spike Jenkins (SWF Cruiserweight Champion) v. "Urban Legend" Todd Cortez (SWF United States-Junior League Champion) v. David Cross (SWF Tag Team Champion) v. "The Icon" Max King v. Danny Dagda v. Sacred v. Manson -> And if you didn't know, now you know. Nine wrestlers, all vying for a shot at the SWF World Championship and instant notoriety as the first-ever winner of the Cold Front Classic tournament. This match will determine seeding for the next round, and there's some incentives both to win and not to be eliminated early. The first two wrestlers eliminated will be seeded eight and nine, and will face off on Lockdown to determine who faces the winner of this battle royale and, in turn, the #1 seed. As an added bonus for the #1 seed, they will be the ONLY wrestler from this list to have Lockdown off -- everybody else will find themselves in a match! Rules: Over-the-top eliminations, everything else is normal rules. Also, if two or more writers want to joint a match, that will be allowed -- you guys are coming off of a PPV. Word Limit: 7000 Marker: Thoth TAG TEAM BOUT Ghost and Andrea Montgomery v. Austin Sly and Kaine -> The Ghost... whoever he is... made a hell of a splash at Ashes 2 Ashes, picking up a W alongside Todd Cortez! Andrea Montgomery also fared well in a victory over David Cross, while Austin Sly jobbed at A2A, and Kaine did NOTHING! For that we owe him -- so here's your trial run as a team, boys! If they can pick up a W over Ghost and Montgomery, there will probably be some big things in their future... Rules: Standard tag match. Remember the old-school tag ropes. Word Limit: 4000 Marker: Ace309 ALSO ON STORM: Toxxic, fresh off a World championship retention at Ashes 2 Ashes, speaks out about his next challenge! His opponent, Annie Eclectic, likely has some words of her own! Stryke, Carnage, Sean Davis... all this and more, on STORM! The Ill One 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Killer card. Oh and Taamo- I'm thinking of just having the match joined after it's down to the final three (or maybe not). But ho-ly shit, it's a big match, a big chance. Allow me to go find that dusty, worn "showing" hat.
janusd 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 We're going to start off this cycle with a bang, and since Janus just got Minnie Mouse's number, that may be in more way than one! Pssh, get it right, it was Mickey's number.
Guest Suicide King Report post Posted November 8, 2004 What will I say? Oh, the suspense! Wait... nyah nyah nyahnyah nyah.
Toxxic 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Just for noting purposes - as an Englishman in Ireland, I would probably be booed out of the building. So me and Rev-0 are back to being heels again.
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Oh and I demand there's a scattered amount of Petey the Irish Penguin or Dillon references. Thank you.
Angel_Grace_Blue 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Well, if you showed consistently with either of those characters, I'm sure there would be. However, I doubt the fine Irish people recall Dillon. Smelly.
Guest Suicide King Report post Posted November 8, 2004 (edited) Hey, why don't you all go over and congratulate the people newly inducted into the Hall of Fame over on the Community Board? It's totally awesome! Edited November 8, 2004 by Suicide King
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Well, if you showed consistently with either of those characters, I'm sure there would be. However, I doubt the fine Irish people recall Dillon. Smelly. Hey, besides possibly Danny Conklin, i'm probably Two Drink Minimum's biggest fan.
Ace309 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 May I just remind everyone that, as this is a Friday night show, and as I have a life, no extensions unless you plan on delaying the show a full day.
Toxxic 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 I think Dagda might actually get a pop, since I believe I'm correct in saying that his second name is that of an old Irish god.
Guest Suicide King Report post Posted November 9, 2004 I think the majority of the Irish worship some guy named Jesus now, Toxxic. And they manage to fight over how best to do that even.
Toxxic 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Yeah yeah, act all superior and make light of Sectarian violence. No, go on, do it.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Right, if the #1 seed meets the #8 or #9 seed...does that mean #2 meets #7, #3 vs. #6 and #4 against #5. Or, is the seeding really only meant for numbers 1, 8 and 9.
Ace309 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Yes indeed, Toxxic. The Dagdae (the 'good god') was one of the Druidic pantheon and one heck of a nice guy.
muzz 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 TAG TEAM BOUT Ghost and Andrea Montgomery v. Austin Sly and Kaine -> The Ghost... whoever he is... made a hell of a splash at Ashes 2 Ashes, picking up a W alongside Todd Cortez! With this information I can write my PPV match properly LoLLeRSaURuS.
Chuck Woolery 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Right, if the #1 seed meets the #8 or #9 seed...does that mean #2 meets #7, #3 vs. #6 and #4 against #5. Or, is the seeding really only meant for numbers 1, 8 and 9. You got it right, Landon. Two faces seven, three faces six and four faces five. If it helps any, one/eight would face four/five in the semis, while two/seven would face three/six.
