According to the latest edition 'The Diamond Weekly', one of Japan's premier economic weeklies, Nintendo's upcoming console will be revolutionary indeed. The Nintendo Revolution is supposed to lack a D-pad and A/B buttons!

Nintendo has stressed out that the Revolution would indeed involve a whole new gaming experience, but removing the most recognizable controls...

The Diamond Weekly did not mention any other details about the Nintendo Revolution, nor did Nintendo officially react on the rumours yet. And thus, the wait for E3 2005 continues...

Nintendo is truly trying to start a new gaming revolution! How in the hell is their next system going to be controlled? The speculation begins now...

Well, with the wild success of Mario Party 6, they've decided to make the whole system microphone controlled!

"4"

"Did you say 8?"

"No"

"Did you say 18?"

"No"

"I couldn't hear what you said, please try again"

So basically, its the EXACT same thing they tried with the Gamecube and GBASP.

Wonderful idea. Simply wonderful.

Although I am curious as to find out what the hell is up with that. No d-pad or A/B buttons? Better be a hell of an idea by Nintendo here.

And the system's concept name is Revolution? Or is the actual system now being called Revolution?

I don't think Revolution is the official name yet. As of now it's still a codename, like the Dolphin was to the GC.

And has anyone here heard of an analog stick? Nintendo never said anything about ditching that, just the d-pad. Considering that more games put an emphasis on the more versatile stick and encourage you to use that, and not the d-pad, it makes some sense that it'll be phased out eventually.

...project reality? *thinks, yet doesn't get it* Its on the tip of my brain, but because the brain is on vacation at this time, it ain't coming. Help me out.

Seriously though, this had better be a Revolutionary idea, otherwise Nintendo just fucked away whatever powers they have left.

Project Reality was the code for the N64.

Maybe you play with an X-Men style Cerebro helmet. Anything you wish Mario to do, think it and he will do it.

In the hands of adolescents, Mario's going to be doing a whole lot of fucking.

Nintendo will be controlled in a manner similiar to Amok Time.

You will battle the CPU in a fight to the death, with the winner being declared the "Alpha" Player, and thusly gaining a 1 Up and thereby being able to populate the Mushroom Kingdom with the superior seed.

Either that....or it's the return of VIRTUAL NINTENDO~
