I thought the lyrics to Bischoff's theme would be funny to post since they seem to fit the opinion of Mike as well (face facts, your opinion don't matter, etc.).

I stick to the point that like him or hate him, CE was/is much more interesting when Mike is posting. He fills up the day with several new topics to talk about (now a days it's rare more than maybe 1 new post shows up a day) and his long dissections and arguments are if nothing else entertaining to read and pass the time while hearing many different view points (since many feel strongly to argue their point in counter to his).

I'm not aware of exactly what caused him to leave or why he has issue with cerebus (I thought they got along, I must have blinked), and have not problem sticking to my opinion that CE is more fun with Mike moving topics and generating discussions and arguments. Ridicule me for that if you will, and since this is HD, I know you will. ;)

Ah ok, found and re-read the original thread. What a horrible thread. I even noticed it at the time, and must have blocked it from memory/ignored it. In fact people agreed with me:

This thread is horrible.

I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed that.

Make it three. Thread makes the Wall Street Journal read like the funny pages.

MikeSC was good in the early days but over the last year all he mainly did was post a lot of "what if" editorials with subtitles like "this could be crazy IF it was true" of course he didn't emphasize the "if" like I just did. It reeked of everything he supposedly stood against.

But it gave us something to talk about ;)

See, Cerebus made everything worse by making a whole THREAD about Mike.

His post would have been a cause for alarm except that Jason fellow has managed to avoid bandom even though everyone who reads his posts unanimously agrees that his opinions are shit and he needs to stop posting.

I don't necessarily want a revival, though. "I'm going to take the conservative stance on this issue and it's futile to argue it because the alternative is the liberal stance and liberals are always wrong, the end" sure got tiring and it's nice to be away from it, as well as not find that every thread in the forum has gotten a bump with one inane sentence followed by the guy's name.

KKK - are you chummy with A Mike SC?

I don't hate him. And only oral, not anal, because that would be kinda gay.

-=kkk, who thinks leaving a board then coming back is kinda gay, too.

And I wouldn't call Rant "laid back," but he's far from being uptight...

Its just, ONCE AGAIN, the ~RACIST! trying to take the steam off of the black man. I mean, i leave, and what happens. A fucking SC leaves. I come back and here that fucker comes back....hmmm.

...

Am....am I actually a very disturbed young man with multiple personality and Mike is one of mymy incredibly stupid yet verbose personality????

Stay tuned....

Mike had a gimmick? I figured it was just his bland personality stretched over stupidly long posts that nobody read but everyone made fun of.

He does now...he's The Rock. Someone who people were tired of and bitching about when he was here full-time, then left and makes occasional one-off appearances that make people drool over him.

I almost always liked the Rock and only occasionally disliked him. With Mike, it was the exact opposite.

I didn't go to South Carolina because Mike lives there.

It's not just that, but he had about 9,000 posts since the '02 relaunch. He lurked CONSTANTLY. If you made a counter-point to something he posted, his reply would be up within 15 minutes, guaranteed.

It never bugged me when he made valid arguments, what did bug me was when he would just discount whole arguments because 'that article's by so-and-so, can't be even considered' when even the most partisan columnists make valid points occasionally (OK, not Coulter). This happened ALL THE TIME.

So if someone posted inane liberal bullshit, you would get a point-by-point reply, when most people already new it was bullshit.

If someone posted a valid and interesting liberal theory, you would get 'it's written by a liberal' or if it's a poster with an original sentence 'dirty hippy'.

I liked how he claimed that he had received more combat wounds than John Kerry. This would indicate that either (a) Mike has a military background that he's too gosh-darn humble to tell us about or (b) Kerry received a negative amount of wounds during his time in Vietnam.

Well his ex-girlfriend did beat him.

The fact that there is a thread with two pages of comments for Mike shows that everyone that posts in it has no fucking life.

And yes, I know I'm posting in it as well

Hey Cerebus, when did you turn into hobbit nerd extraordinaire?

You've really geeked up your online image.

Screw you hippy.

I've been Hobbitized since I was a lad so its always been there, but it tends to come out whenever there is more LotR stuff going on (i.e. the release of RotK EE last month).

I was going to get that, but my DVD player had to fall apart.

I need something to tide me over til Jordan finally gets around to releasing the next WoT book....
