Maybe Kenny was holding back, which didn't seem to be the case, but he has nothing against Fratboy right now. He tries for those kicks but Leben's too quick and catches him, he gets awkwardly tied up without getting a knee, pushing the weight, and trying to get away for a hook to get himself free. When he started swinging it was pretty wild. Maybe he'll come out the second round with something good, but that definitely wasn't too pretty.

Kenny's running, it's going to be over soon. Unless there's a miracle strike or a golden opportunity.

Edit: Nice uppercut by Kenny. He just had a spurt of brilliance but then got thrown up against that fence again.

Wow, Josh or, Holy shit if Diego wins...is gonna fuck Kenny up.

I blinked and missed it, what brought about that cut?

elbow to the eye..which they just showed.

Yeah, Kenny has really got some deity on his side.

Edit: Caught the elbow that time. Leben'll be back to fight no doubt.

Yeah if Diego beats Koscheck I don't see Florian beating him. Diego doesn't punch himself out and doesn't barge in like Leben does.

Even Kenny's treating it as his last time in the spotlight.

I am looking forward to Diego and Koscheck, that should be a hell of a fight.

Christ, this show was the worst thing to ever happen to Leben. Going in, he is a Team Quest prospect who has racked up an impressive record. Now, two losses to guys with a combined 8 fights max.

I think Florian would beat Koscheck, as I don't think Koscheck would be able to finish him after a takedown. And with three rounds Koscheck's inexperience would show and would get caught in a sub at some point.

Diego on the other hand would fuck him up hardcore.

btw, I was gonna say it was a lucky shot, but as Kenny put it, he saw the opening, and took it.

Koscheck: "I've never shown him 100%"

No shit. If that match against Leben was 100%, you'd be smoked like other two.

Diego/Koscheck will be a really good fight. And the winner of that WILL beat Florian, I'd have to say.

I'd have to go with Diego.

I'd guess the other final might be Bonnar/Bobby in a rematch.

I think Florian has better ground skills than Koscheck and is on par with Diego, and I think he has better striking skills than them both. If he showed anything in this fight, it's that he's got a huge heart and can battle through some tough strikes. I think he'll win the final.

I don't know much about Sam Hoger, but the LHW division looks wide open at this point and judging from the fact that Bonnar beat Southworth, looks like it's stacked as well.

Leben needs to focus on the ground game and work some submissions.

if not submissions than at least work on take-downs and get in a position where he can throw those punches from on top. He'd be dangerous as hell dropping those bombs from an elevated position

Christ. Leben should've never come on the show. He was on his way to a contract anyway. What bad luck.

That's definitely true. Because that first strike...man, maybe it was one of those that just sound nasty, but don't hurt that much, but man..it was a sickening sounding hit. I thought he would have been out after that, but his face is made of Teflon (or whatever) or something, because he seemed like it didn't even damage him.

But he was blown up as hell, which seemed to be his main problem.

Same here. Koscheck will HAVE to get more agressive than he was in his last fight.

Kinda hoping that Forrest is healed by his fight, but based on the timeline, he'd only have a week between stitching and weigh-in, so I'd say that Bobby is fighting. I don't know much about Sam Hogar, so I'll guess Bobby wins.

I think Stephan Bonnar should beat Mike Swick. Swick, IIRC, moved up in weight, so he might be at a disadvantage there. Plus, he looks like Joe Rogan, and I dunno if that would EVER make me root for him.

Man, I'm totally stretching for something there.

Finals: Diego over Kenny, Bobby over Stephan.

Leben needs to work on take downs so he can ground-n-pound his opponets. The guy is one diminsional and you can see that he does not know what to do when his opponets can take a beating like a man. If Leben wants to be one diminsional with strikes than at least learn some Muay Thai or dirty boxing.
