Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 hey the freebirds were from Badstreet,USA (is that in Springfield?) Actually, the lyrics to the song specify that Badstreet is in Atlanta GA. If memory serves, it's the baddest street in the whole USA. thansk for the info, I was a little kid when the freebrids were at the peak I read a book called wrestling superstars 2 that was pretty much all kayfabe stories (except that they mention vince mcmahon owns the wwf) and about the freebirds hayes is quoted as saying "we lived on a street where, the further you went down the street , the badder it got, and we were the last house on the block"
Just John 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 I hated Gail Kim being from "Korea." Not even North or South Korea, just Korea.

tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 Kim probally wouldnt have to worry about any heat anywhere be it face heat or heel heat...granted though I still liked her.
Slickster 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2005 Watched an old ep of WCW Worldwide from 1992...Super Invader squashed 2 jobbers in a handicap match, one of whom hailed from "Rock City, USA."
Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2005 Off-topic: tbondrage99, where did ya find the pic at, I was gonna look for it and have it in my sig saying "I claim this ring and Conway's ass for the king and queen." Sure it's not witty... but meh... I remember them saying where Snitsky was from, and Lillian stumbled over the words, cause the town was that hard to pronounce. It started with a P, I know that. How can you expect to get over like that?

Guest Phenom Report post Posted January 29, 2005 Kenzo Suzuki is from "The Land of the Rising Sun", not Japan.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted January 29, 2005 Eh... it's more colorful than saying Japan. It's like saying "Korea" or "Puerto Rico". The WWE's Womens division could've been an International Incident if Hiroko was actually a wrestler and they didn't fire Gail Kim and Nidia.

MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2005 I think Sid used this one for a bit... From Anyplace He Damn Well Pleases. I like that though. They had to Turnerize it so it was "Anywhere he DARN well pleases".
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted January 29, 2005 They could've said "Damn" from 1999-2000, when it was a cool word to say in wrestling. I only recall them saying "Darn" in his original NWA/WCW stint (1989-1991).

LessonInMachismo 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2005 <<I read a book called wrestling superstars 2 that was pretty much all kayfabe stories (except that they mention vince mcmahon owns the wwf)>> I am holding that book in my hands right now. I got it when I was in 6th grade from those book sheets they hand out. I remember reading the Vince part and totally marking out. I came to school the next day bragging about how I knew Vince was the owner. This was in 1987/88, when wrestling was hot, so everyone was in awe. My favorite lines from the book: "Jim Neidhart used to be a truck driver, and he looks like one. No one ever offered him a job as a male model." The Vince part is pretty well written, considering the source material.
