DMann2003 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2005 I saw this mentioned in USA Today and I found this linkGodfather Video Game Announced Seeing as how "The Godfather" is my favorite film, the idea of playing a game where you get to rise up the ranks of the Corleone family sounds pretty frickin sweet. El Psycho Diablo 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2005 Something tells me it's going to be heavily "influenced" by games like Mafia and GTA. With EA at the helm, I wouldn't expect much..
Guest DVD Spree Report post Posted February 4, 2005 I love the way that Brando was somehow coerced into signing his likeness away to EA and coming in to record voices for them before he died. "Shit, I'm on my last legs, there's gotta be some shit left in the world that I need to do… oh fuck yeah, I gotta go and be in a fucking Electronic Arts game!" Bizarre. The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2005 We could be proven wrong, but I foresee a sales/quality divide on the scale of Enter the Matrix on the horizon for this one. Of course, I've been trained to automatically be skeptical of movie-licensed games, since there's maybe five or six in the last fifteen years that have even approached mediocrity. Guest DVD Spree Report post Posted February 4, 2005 Something tells me it's going to be heavily "influenced" by games like Mafia and GTA. It IS a free-roaming, GTA-style game.

"Shit, I'm on my last legs, there's gotta be some shit left in the world that I need to do… oh fuck yeah, I gotta go and be in a fucking Electronic Arts game!" Bizarre. Especially since he was always so opposed with playing the same character twice in a film. Sure, this isn't a film, but technically...
Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2005 I hope this comes off as a good GTA-style roam around. Mafia and the Getaway have left me dissapointed so far. I may be the only one, but I wanna see a Tombstone GTA-style game.

Modern Man's Hustle 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2005 Those don't seem to be in game shots, rather cutscenes. SO helpful EA... I read somewhere that those were actual in-game shots. There's gonna be a pissload of load times on this thing.
EricMM 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2005 No, I'm sure those are cutscenes. They may use in game graphics, but they're not representative of gameplay at all. Thus, they are unhelpful. Unless you're a graphics whore.

BrokenTiger 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2005 Bah, I love the Godfather trilogy to death...but personally I don't see this game fare better than Mafia (loved that game). On the other hand...will there be a cutscene of Sonny's dramatic death?
Sonic Reducer 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 It's going to suffer from True Crime syndrome: The game looks pretty but the gameplay is going to be horrible.
