Paramount releasing Classic Nickelodeon on DVD!

Recommended Posts

I hate to break up the excitement, but am I the only one who watched these shows as a kid on Nickolodean and liked them but then outgrew them once I hit my teens and have no interest in ever watching them again now?

Not really. I used to watch everything, but now the only show I still can watch is Hey Dude and a couple of selected eps of Salute Your Shorts.

Doug always sucked. I hated Doug. At least Roger always had that goofy music that would play when he'd get into mischief and hijinks. Maybe I did like Doug.

EDIT: No wait, that wasn't Roger, that was Bulk and Skull from the Power Rangers. I did hate Doug after all.

YCDTOTV was the most Pythoneque show Nick had, and I want that on DVD.

I hated Hey Dude. Never liked the outdoors, myself.

I'd also like a compolation of Stick Stickly's best.

Yeah I thought buying Garfield and Friends would be cool since I used to watch it every morning.

The nostaliga wore off after the first episode and I was left thinking why the hell did I just spend 30 dollars on this?

Be VERY weary of buying some of these shows on DVD that you used to watch as a kid.

One of the only one's that held up for still is Gargoyles, sweet show.

And the animated Batman...

*saw Robin's Reckoning again today. :) *

I hated Hey Dude. Never liked the outdoors, myself.

I found an ooooold tape that had an episode on it and watched it a few months ago. Unbelievable how cheesy and groan-worthy it was (well, not really).

Melody and the ranch owner were pretty much the only ones to have anything resembling a real acting career after it, though. :)

Salute Your Shorts/Pete and Pete were pretty decent, though.

Hey Dude, Pete & Pete, Salute Your Shorts, and Welcome Freshmen all better come out on DVD.

You did a fine job, but you missed one.

They should put some of the game shows on DVD. I spent hours watching Nick Arcade.

I watched that at my cousin's house because he has Nick GAS and I decided to visit him on what was ostensibly Nick Arcade Marathon Day. That guy would try to rap to the theme beat and be like

"Win the game, is what you do...when you're on...Nick Arcade" or

"Playing games, find the gold, trying...to....win...the show"

If someone finds the theme to it, they'll make sense

Pete and Pete hold up well these days..I'm sure Salute Your Shorts could still be decent. Most of the cartoons I would imagine ould be fine...but there are some other shows that could blow now.

I enjoyed Welcome Freshmen very much..like to see it again.

The host of Nick Arcade makes Wayne Brady look like Dr. Dre

Heh, I was just coming here to start a thread on Space Cases. I loved that show, and it spawned my longtime cursh on Jewel Staite (Flash Forward, Firefly).

That show would top my list of series that I would like to see released on DVD, followed by Salute Your Shorts, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Pete and Pete, Welcome Freshmen, Hey Dude, and probably a lot of other shows I can't remember at the moment.

I loved old school Nick.

Help me out here. Was Peter David a writer and/or creator of Space Cases? And were the Black Power Ranger and Nicole de Boer on the show?

Nick and distributor Paramount Home Entertainment are pleased to announce the second title in the Rewind Collection: The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Season 1.

On May 17th (the same date as the Clarissa release), this hits stores on a 2-disc set that runs 292 minutes. All 8 episodes from the first season are present, of course. No word yet on whether any of the vignettes or specials that preceded that season are going to be included, but stay tuned. We'll keep you posted if we find out anything.

Why the fuck didn't I say it earlier...

LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE!!!!

It was great watching the Purple Parrots get knocked out before the first commercial, time and time again. I think I only ever saw them advance to the second round twice.

I have to wonder now if, in the last season set for Clarissa Explains It All, they'll include the...I think what was suppossed to be a pilot for the next series after...just titled "Clarissa". Involving her life on her own after High School.

I was a fan of the Silver Snakes myself.

Yeah, whatever happened to that show? Wasn't it suppose to air on CBS as part of their 1995-1996 fall scheldue? I remember watching the pilot air during The Big Help telethon back in the fall of '95, and I remember Melissa Joan Hart saying that the show was going to air on CBS. Did CBS change their mind at the last minute or something? The show looked interesting. I would have watched it.

I looked on both IMDB and TV Tome.com and all I could find out was that the concept failed. Don't know what that means exactly.

...oh, and even though I never really saw the series, another one I thought that they might release would be "Secret World of Alex Mack"
