UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Decision Time! Feb. 21, 2005 Batista's road to WrestleMania 21 will come to a fork on Monday Night RAW when he finally decides which championship he will compete for. Will it be RAW's World Heavyweight Championship, or will Batista jump to SmackDown! and take on the WWE Champion at WrestleMania. Before RAW, Batista will be at the SmackDown! No Way Out pay-per-view. What impact will the events that occur have on his ultimate decision? Also, we learned on SmackDown! that General Manager Theodore Long will crash RAW on Monday to try to sign Evolution’s animal to his roster. How will RAW GM Eric Bischoff respond to his counterpart's overtures? Also on RAW, the long-awaited unveiling of "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters will happen. Will Masters prove his greatness? Is he as good as his recent vignettes on RAW have suggested? Watch RAW on Spike TV (9/8 CT) to find out. Credit: wwe.com _____________________________ Masters debuts, I'm suspecting he faces Venis, who he's had reportedly decent outings with this weekend.
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Will Masters prove his greatness? Absolutely.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted February 21, 2005 Author Report Posted February 21, 2005 Masters looks like Brakkus to me...why should I expect anymore than another super hoss with no mobility and "power" moves?
Dandy Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 I heard he sucks, but he won't be Brakkus. Brakkus was a lot bigger and sucked quite the dick. That being said, apparently Masters has been using the dreaded Full Nelson as his finish lately.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted February 21, 2005 Author Report Posted February 21, 2005 Yes, he has been. Any chance they turn on Batty, and bring Masters in as the new Evolution member? That's the ONLY chance I see of Masters staying around for a while. I mean, Christ, a beefed up guy in a thong posing?
Dandy Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 I figured Masters would be in Evolution at some point.
razazteca Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 When I hear "Masterpiece" I think of BBQ sauce BAWH GAWD!
Guest Hass of Pain Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Anyone who uses the Full Nelson as their finisher is alright in my book. That's boss that it's finally being brought back, I can't remember a WWE wrestler since Billy Jack Haynes 20 years ago using it as a finisher. Batista would be way better served on Smackdown with instant feuds with Bradshaw, The Big Show, Angle and John Cena waiting for him, but my guess is that he decides to challenge HHH at Wrestlemania as can be seen coming from a mile away.
SuperJerk Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 They're spending way too much time and effort building up Cena vs. Batista vs. JBL considering its not going to happen.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted February 21, 2005 Author Report Posted February 21, 2005 Warlord used it as his finisher.
Guest MikeSC Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Warlord used it as his finisher. I thought he used a powerslam. -=Mike
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 I figured Masters would be in Evolution at some point. I mentioned he looked like he had Orton's head and Batista's body. So he's the Evolution of Evolution..uh..Re-Evolution!
Guest Coffey Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Warlord used it as his finisher. I thought he used a powerslam. -=Mike You don't remember the Warlord's feud with the British Bulldog? "If the Warlord locks those fingers, this match is over!" *locks fingers* "Oh my God, Davey Boy powered out!"
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted February 21, 2005 Author Report Posted February 21, 2005 So would HHH be King Koopa and Masters would be a Goomba is Raw was the Mario Bros. movie?
Scroby Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Has anyone actually seen Masters wrestle? I haven't seen the guy before other than his ads and the only thing he sounds like so far is another Failed Luger and a failed Mark Jindrak.

BorneAgain Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Any predictions for the WM contract signing? For some reason I see Carlito getting involved, maybe even revealing who really drove the limo, just to make sure Batista faces HHH, therefore getting Teddy Long fired. Just a guess though.
Black Lushus Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 my question for YOU guys is, how would you really feel if Batista does make the jump? I know most don't want that, but would it really be THAT horrible? I mean we all say that Smackdown needs at least one more big name...the only thing stupid, at this point with doing that is that it leaves the Raw champion without a challenger for WM with only a month to go to hype up a match...

I haven't seen the guy before other than his ads and the only thing he sounds like so far is another Failed Luger and a failed Mark Jindrak. I've seen him wrestle. It was the first week of December. Unless he has improved considerably since then, dont expect much from the guy. He couldn't do much other than the usual big man moves. He did have a pretty nice Spinebuster for a finisher though. However, since he is apparently using the Full Nelson now, I have even less to look forward to.
Boon Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 I'm sure they'd just toss Orton back into the mix.

Though a jump would be a hell of a suprise, it would more or less undermine the best build-up on the entire Wrestlemania card. And it leaves the company with one main event that nobody really wants (JBL vs. Cena vs. Batista) and it would force creative to rush yet another Wrestlemania main event. I can't see what good can come out of it.
Black Lushus Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 how big is this Masters guy, I mean compared to other wrestlers, his stats? If he caught someone up in the full nelson and started flinging them around and up and down, it could look pretty convincing as a powerful move...
Downhome Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Masters should come out with the normal "Lex Luger" entrance, being all over the top and trying to make him to look like the strongest most perfect guy ever, but when he starts to talk and to move about the ring, he does nothing but stutter in a high pitched voice and trips over his own two legs over and over again, then just ends up losing. The gimmick of the guy with the "perfect look" but with no talent at all. Like a parody of what WWE usually promotes.

If he caught someone up in the full nelson and started flinging them around and up and down, it could look pretty convincing as a powerful move... He's about as big as Rene Dupree, but obviously more cut. He wrestled Val Venis at the houseshow I went to, and looked to be just a little bulkier.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 how big is this Masters guy, I mean compared to other wrestlers, his stats? The OVW site lists him as 6'4 and 265lbs. The height is about right, though from the vignette's, I'd say his closer to 280lbs right now, and it's all muscle. I'd say he should be tearing a muscle by Backlash.
Lord of The Curry Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Masters used the torture-rack neckbreaker as a finisher at the T-Dot RAW. And he sucks bad. Let's take bets on how long it takes before the "Master-bator" chants start.
benoit4hor Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 I can't remember a WWE wrestler since Billy Jack Haynes 20 years ago using it as a finisher Hercules Hernandez used it for awhile when he was feuding with Billy Jack Haynes. I think their WM III match was a full-nelson match actually. But for the most part he used a torture rack I think.
razazteca Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 I can't wait for the Black Scorpion vs Lex Luger dream match myself.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted February 22, 2005 Author Report Posted February 22, 2005 JUST ADDED TO RAW: HBK & Orton Vs. Edge & Christian Women's Title: Trish Vs. Molly Vs. Victoria (Look for Vicky to hit the Peak...and walk into the Chick Kick) Been doin' that house show finish all week.
