2GOLD Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I don't think the Ultimate Warrior would get inducted...but if he did, imagine his induction speech. He should get inducted. All of the previous WWF Champions should get inducted to the Hall of Fame. You really want to see Sid in the HOF? I do. SID was awesome, just for his golden promos. And no one in the history of the WWF has made the powerbomb look as devasting as Sid. Hell, I still have a RULER OF THE WORLD shirt around here somewhere. Dammit, I want SID to return to the WWE on RAW. Maybe just for a match with Hassan. Or Maven, yeah Maven. Do something were Maven is in the ring with a chair and claim no one is pyscho enough to get in the ring with him. Think of the rub it'll give Maven to pin Sid! For god sake, they brought back VISCERA!
Guest sek69 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 No one mentioned the obvious Hacksaw connection with someone in the HOF class: Duggan and Iron Sheik getting busted with weed back in 1987, back when kayfabe was king and Duggan was a face and Sheik was a heel.
Myxamatosis Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 That would be a hell of a introduction story to tell for either of them.
Guest sek69 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I remember even the Apter mags mentioning it, which totally blew my mind back then. I couldn't fathom why a good guy was in the same car with a bad guy.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Raven's greatest accomplishment in WWE was being called "Raisin" by Chris Jericho. Or being a 27-time Hardcore Champion, the most of any belt any wrestler has ever had in a carrer in WWE. and he STILL probably hasn't beat Jerry Lawler's number of USWA title reigns.
CBright7831 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Duggan is one of the greatest jobbersa in the world.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 You never saw him in the 'tories before he went to WWF did you?
Slickster Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Former Mid-South star, one of the most over faces from 1989-1993, former King of the WWF, former WCW US and TV Champion. The man deserves it, not for his wrestling ability, but for his sheer charisma and ability to get the fans into a match.
CBright7831 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 And his ability to job his ass off.
Enigma Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I remember reading in an Observer from mid-2004 that Sid apparently told his close friends that he set a goal of returning to WWE full-time by December 2004. Guess he didn't make it.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I don't think the Ultimate Warrior would get inducted...but if he did, imagine his induction speech. He should get inducted. All of the previous WWF Champions should get inducted to the Hall of Fame. You really want to see Sid in the HOF? Hey if Nikolai Volkoff is in there then Sid who's an exclusive member of the WWF/WCW Champions should easily be allowed in. In Kayfabe being a WWF or WCW World Champion should get you an automatic induction as kayfabed you were at one time the standard for either federation.
Scroby Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I don't think the Ultimate Warrior would get inducted...but if he did, imagine his induction speech. That would be one of the most weirdest and oddest things I would hate to watch. Anyways, Duggen being inducted should be no surprised, he was one of the most over guys in the WWF at that time. I'm guessing Bossman is next.
Enigma Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 List of WWF/E & WCW World Champions: People who did it not during the InVasion (Hollywood) Hogan (haha, fuck Marvel) Ric Flair Kevin Nash Sid Vicious Randy Savage Bret Hart Chris Benoit The Big Show People who did it during the InVasion Chris Jericho The Rock Kurt Angle

nl5xsk1 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Letting people like Duggan, Volkoff, Sheik, etc. into the "hall of fame" takes away so much of the honor of it. The hall of fame should be like it is for real sports, something that's saved for the greatest, for the elite, for the best of the best.
MillenniumMan831 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Or anyone that will agree to join.
GreatWhiteNope Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Chris Benoit Benoit didn't win the WCW World Title - the decision was overturned.

The hall of fame should be like it is for real sports, something that's saved for the greatest, for the elite, for the best of the best. Johnny Rodz is already in the WWE Hall Of Fame. Inducting those three isn't going to hurt the Hall too much after that.
Guest Coffey Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I think that Eugene should be the one to induct Hacksaw. Even if he's hurt, he could do it.
The Metal Maniac Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Chris Benoit Benoit didn't win the WCW World Title - the decision was overturned. Actually, I think that the WWF recognizes his title reign today, even though they shouldn't, because it was really just a delayed Dusty Finish. HOWEVER, Benoit still doesn't count as being a WWF and WCW champion, because he never really held the WWF/WWE title. I think he got it Dusty Finished once or twice, but again, that doesn't count. The belt he held was the World title, not the WWF/E title.
Promoter Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Or anyone that will agree to join. Not really, I turned Vince down last week
MillenniumMan831 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 There should at least be some kind of conversion rate for this kind of thing . . . 2 Dusty Finish Championship "Wins" = 1 Legit World Title Victory. RVD would probably be on the board w/ a World Title reign or two by those logistics.
Guest Arnold_OldSchool Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 As its been said before Vince Sr.'s Limo driver was inducted, and he never stepped foot in the ring from what I understand. Plus Rodz is in and he was a jobber. Everybody bitch about something they have no power to change! In 15 years people will be bitching cause RVDD is in the HOF, and he did about as much as Duggan, Volkoff and others in the Hall.

Plus, as they say, 2 wrongs don't make a right. Just because they fucked up before doesn't mean they need to fuck up repeatedly.
Guest Ransome Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 How come they've only sporadically announced the 2005 Hall of Fame inductees ? They gave us five on Smackdown, then announced Piper two weeks later on Raw, and nothing since. Wouldn't it make more sense to only announce one new HOFamer each Raw/Smackdown so that you might get a couple people tuning in to see it? Did Duggan have any good matches at all in the WWF that could be put on the DVD? I guess theres his Royal Rumble win, has that ever been shown before?
Guest Arnold_OldSchool Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 His MSG bout with Andre would establish his importance
