Gary Floyd Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 Unfourtuantely, it's on ifilm, but it's still a riot http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2665904?htv=12&htv=12
SuperJerk Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Damn, even Hannity was looking at her like a nut, and he's in love with her.
Precious Roy Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 That was the tamest "meltdown" I've ever seen. I hate Coulter as much as the next sane person, but I've seen much worse from her.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 I was more interested in hearing Michael Savage talk about the tsunami. The guy sounds like a moron and a racist, but I guess pointing that out is just being redundant.
SuperJerk Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 That was the tamest "meltdown" I've ever seen. Yeah, but I think its becoming painfully obvious to EVERYONE she's crossed the line and is an embarrassment to the right (hence the expression on Sean's face in the clip). Remember when the right was represented by people like William Buckley, George Will, and Milton Friedman?
Precious Roy Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Hannity is insane too. And fuck, I'm pretty left wing, but Coulter was right, Colmes was completely baiting her there.
SuperJerk Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 I'm pretty left wing, but Coulter was right, Colmes was completely baiting her there. I was too busy listening to Coulter calling the Democrats the party of murder to notice.
A Happy Medium Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 All I can say is that she is not professional.
Guest BDC Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Watching Coulter breakdown is a riot. I've seen a video of her going crazy about Canada and I have to say, it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen, and hell, I'm a right winger.
Vyce Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Remember when the right was represented by people like William Buckley, George Will, and Milton Friedman? They still are. No one on the right really takes her seriously. It's not as if the head of the RNC is coming out and gushing about how great she is, unlike ol' Terry and his pal Mikey.

Wow, this time it took TEN posts before someone mentioned Michael Moore. Good job.

I was too busy listening to Coulter calling the Democrats the party of murder to notice. Yeah, I guess I just have diminished expectations.....well for everyone on FOXNEWS lol, but Coulter especially, and Colmes is the sorriest excuse for a liberal they could have ever got. I take it with a grain of salt, but it would be nice to see the only so-called liberal on the network not play the bullshit game

I take it with a grain of salt, but it would be nice to see the only so-called liberal on the network not play the bullshit game He may have been trying to trick her into denouncing a quote she had no way of verifying, but she was also given the opportunity to give an example of a time she acknowledged that a Republican went too far, and she refused. Instead, she started flying off the handle and accusing all Democrats of being liars and murderers.
The Czech Republic Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Republicans need someone like Al Franken! He's always right, and when he's making shit up, it's satire, but when the other guys make things up, they're lying! Come on over Al. We WANT you. BAD.
Guest cosbywasmurdered Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Hey...she's hawt. Reading her rants I pictured her looking like a dog.
SuperJerk Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Believe me when I say that her looks are probably the ONLY reason anyone pays attention to her. Its certainly not her entertaining writing style, her insightful analysis, or her copious understanding of the issues.
The Czech Republic Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 No, it's her entertaining writing style. I read her books, and it's like a hard copy of super-charged MikeSC. A tangible version of the sort of incredible mudslinging that I once thought was confined to a computer monitor.

A tangible version of the sort of incredible mudslinging that I once thought was confined to a computer monitor. I have more respect for Mike than that. Her writing got old for me once I cracked her formula: -Liberal X said this statement/might believe this position/has this character flaw. -Saying this statement/believing this position/having this character flaw makes you evil. -Liberal X is evil. -All liberals are the same. -All liberals, therefore, are evil.
NoCalMike Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Typical Ann Coulter, when she can't be on the offensive, she basically shrivels up and hibernates and refuses to discuss the topic at hand.
Jobber of the Week Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Republicans need someone like Al Franken! bob_barron Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Ann Coulter's interview on Canadian TV where she claimed Canadians served in Vietnam was hilarious
Special K Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 The best Ann Coulter interview was when Chris Matthews asked her point blank: "So you think all liberals are traitors?" She says so like every third column and had a book called "Treason" for God's sake and she just pussed out and played semantic games and wouldn't answer. Then he asked her about the comment she made about the only difference between the terrorists of today and (some other group) is you can smell the terrorists if they sit next to you on the bus. He asked her point blank: "are you implying that all middle-eastern people are smelly?" She completely looked like she had shit her pants and just started stammering nonsense. It's all besides the point. Her collumns play to a certain audience, and that audience is so into self-congratulatory mudslinging, they don't care if she can debate or back up her inflammatory comments at all.
The Metal Maniac Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Ann Coulter's interview on Canadian TV where she claimed Canadians served in Vietnam was hilarious The best part of it was her arguing with the CANADIAN NEWSCASTER about whether or not CANADIANS served in the war. "I think you're wrong." "I'm not." "I think you are."
bob_barron Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Ann Coulter said she'd get back to us about Canadians serving in Vietnam.... she never did. That was my favourite part
Kahran Ramsus Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Believe it or not, she was right. Canadians did serve in Vietnam as a part of the foreign contingent in the US military. There are no exact numbers because our government did not actively participate in the war, but the accepted estimates seem to be around 3000, with some going as high as 15,000. I'm not that knowledgable about the subject so I can't give an opinion on what is more likely. 80 or so were killed.
Dobbs 3K Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 I don't think anyone actually gives Ann Coulter any credibility. And IMO, Sean Hannity is just a shill for the Republican Party. Have you ever heard the man criticize President Bush even once? Frankly, I think if some of the things Bush is doing had been done by Bill Clinton, people like Hannity would have raked him over the coals...but since it's a Republican president, he can do no wrong. Personally, I enjoy Michael Savage...I don't agree with everything he says, but he actually takes Bush to task on things he doesn't agree with. I also think Savage is right when he talks about the constant attacks on US culture, and I agree with most of his views on immigration.

I thought though Ann was implying that Canada sent them as opposed to them volunteering or something. I know this has been broken down in a thread on this board before.....
The Metal Maniac Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Canadians did serve in Vietnam as a part of the foreign contingent in the US military. Granted, but, as Nocal pointed out, she was trying to say that Canada, the nation, was involved in the war, which is false.
Kahran Ramsus Posted March 5, 2005 Report Posted March 5, 2005 Oh okay. I never knew anything about this. And the first post that talks about it in the this thread simply talked about Canadians serving in Vietnam. Obviously the Canadian government did not take part.
