strummer 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 From PWI: World Wrestling Entertainment's home video division is currently working on a documentary style look at The 1997 Survivor Series incident from Montreal. The look will be a 2-disc set titled "Screwed: The Bret Hart Story." Also currently in development are 2-DVD sets dedicated to The Ultimate Warrior, The Road Warriors, WWE Legends, and ECW's "Greatest Matches." While the Bret DVD set does not currently have a release date, the other DVDs are all slated to be released before the end of 2006.
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Do we really need more on the Montreal incident? It's been 8 years...do people really care anymore? The whole thing has been over-analyzed and rehashed to death so much that I personally don't have any interest in seeing a documentary on the thing, especially since we already had "Wrestling With Shadows." Shanghai Kid 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 ULTIMATE WARRIOR DVD! HELL YEAH! I wonder if they'll include his WCW stuff? Road Warriors DVD, definely expected and definetly deserved. I hope this teams their going to start giving most of their old stars double disk DVDs. I don't know why their doing a Montreal DVD other than to try to have something to counter Wrestling with Shadows. I wonder how this DVD will affect Bret's relationship with the company and if this will be 'the' only Bret Hart DVD we get.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Warrior? Hopefully they put some rarer matches on there (ie non PPV matches), because people I don't see there being a disk long story behind it, youre not gonna fill it with great promos and interviews and people aren't going to buy it for Hogan vs. Warrior. The LOD DVD should be great though. Here's hoping they bung War Games on there. I'd imagine they would.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 2-DVD set dedicated to The Ultimate Warrior Does Ultimate Warrior have enough material for a 2 DVD set? Will they show any of the early stuff like his time as Dingo Warrior in WCCW or tag teaming with Sting? The Road Warriors AWA, NWA, Japan matches? WWE Legends Dead people? ECW's "Greatest Matches." Tajiri vs Super Crazy and Awesome vs Tanaka?
Enigma 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 I don't see how they could do a Warrior DVD without any interviews from him on it. And seeing as how Warrior owns his name, that means Warrior would have had to have given them permission to do it. The Montreal DVD would be an instant sell for me if it had a face to face interview between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels or Bret Hart and Vince McMahon or all three in a roundtable setting. But other than that, is there anything new that can be said that wasn't already said in the Wrestling With Shadows documentary?
Guest TroughOfMantaur Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Screwed: The Bret Hart Story? You've gotta be kidding me. I'll believe it when I hear it from Meltzer or the WWE themselves.
Guest bigm350 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 The Montreal Screwjob DVD will be WWE revisionist history of the incident. You know from "their point-of-view."

Considering there's a 'You Screwed Bret' chant at HBK every few weeks. ESPECIALLY, in Canada. (To Hebner also) So I guess, it is..still on people's minds. strummer 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 From Meltzer's Update Today: --WWE is planning a DVD on the 1997 Survivor Series tentatively titled, "Screwed: The Bret Hart Story." And the night after it comes out, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and HHH will be driving home after a show in Ontario crying about how these stupid Canadian fans can't let it go. BUTT 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 I don't see how they could do a Warrior DVD without any interviews from him on it. And seeing as how Warrior owns his name, that means Warrior would have had to have given them permission to do it. No, he doesn't. WWE owns the name "Ultimate Warrior". He had his name legally changed to "Warrior", so that's what he called himself in WCW.

Jeez I hope that is a typo, or else they are really planning into the future, unlike thier on the air product.
Guest Sturgis Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Here's what I'm thinking that on the Warrior DVD match-wise: His debut match vs. Hercules(WM IV) vs. HTM(Summerslam 88')(Hoefully with an Easter Egg of Honkey smashing the guitar over Warrior's head) Team Warrior vs. Team Honkey(SurSer 88') vs. Rude(WM V) vs. Rude(Summerslam 89') vs. Hogan(WM VI) vs. Rude(Summerslam 90') Team Warrior vs. Team Perfect(SurSer 90') vs. Slaughter(RR 91') vs. Savage(WM VII) vs. Savage(SummerSlam 92') vs. Hogan(Havoc 98') 13 matches + extras could fill 2 disc. Extras: Debut Vingettes Variouus Promos His return in 92' His return in 96' His WCW debut
Guest Loss Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Benoit and Eddy are really the only DVDs that have showed the wrestlers losing a lot of matches. It seems that most of the time, they try to avoid having a wrestler do a lot of jobs on his own DVD. That's why many of Flair's best matches weren't included. So I might think Warrior/Rude and Warrior/Hogan from Havoc '98 would be left out.

Extras: Debut Vingettes Variouus Promos His return in 92' His return in 96' His WCW debut That's a pretty good list. Basically all his best work, except that dredful Hogan match from WCW. I nearly barfed when I saw that one.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 I doubt Trips would let them put his squash loss to warrior at wm12 on there cmon he no sold the pedigree (blasphamey) but that sounds like a solid disc, Id buy it
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 actually as extras you could put the superstars/challenge where herc tried to choke warrior with the chain on there to set up wm 4, and the rumble 89 super posedown vs rude
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 "Screwed: The Bret Hart Story" I thought I already watched this story when it was called, "Wrestling with Shadows"
Guest Sturgis Report post Posted March 4, 2005 The only reason I put Hogan/Warrior II on their was for completion reasons. The 89' posedown would be a good extra. I'm thinking the Road Warriors DVD will be done Hulk Still Rules style(Main Feature and Extras for 1 and Extras for 2). So Skywalkers(including the pumpkin dropping interview) and them taking out Dusty's eye(UNCENSORED) better be on there.
Secret Agent 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Does anybody know if there was any reasoning behind the Ultimate Warrior/HHH WM squash match? Like was this a result of the 'breaking character' HHH did with Nash that lead to him losing the KOTR push? Or did Warrior only agree to the match if he could squash somebody? Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 The Warrior v Hunter match was done so Warrior would create a splash, as it were, by beating someone who had been fairly protected up to that point. It happened long before the Curtain Call.

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 If the Warrior DVD includes him being locked in a casket (the angle I saw on fateful Saturday morning in 1991 that got me into this whole wrestling thing) and vomitting from Papa Shango voodoo, I am sold. DVD quality video of Warrior vomitting and oozing black liquid = sales. I have a feeling this will actually end up being a 1 disc Coliseum budget re-release, though.. but you never know. nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 Ultimate Warrior DVD: Better have his Mid-South & WCCW stuff Road Warriors DVD: Better focus more on the AWA & NWA stuff than their WWF stuff ... I'd mark huge for the riot that they caused by hitting Hennig in the head with the chair while he was caught in the ropes.
LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 as much as the Warrior/Hogan match is WCW is another more famous one now and most recent, I really doubt they'd put it on. I mean, the purpose of that match was to piss in the face of WWF. I really doubt anything from that stint making it personally.
