Karc 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 So THIS is the most compelling storyline the WWE has crapped out of its ass in the last 8 years. No wonder business is sinking.
Guest Loss Report post Posted March 7, 2005 If anything, the interest in this shows just how easy it would be for the fans to get excited about a great storyline if we were ever given one anymore.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 Was it 6 years? I thought it was like 2 or 3. I'll second that. She's been with Matt for six years? I didn't even think that Lita had been with the company for 6 years. (Yeah, they knew each other from before, but they didn't start dating until she was in the WWF to the best of my knowledge.) It might be a little bit of a stretch but If they got together in 2000 then this year would indeed be there 6th year as a couple.
humongous2002 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 Going back to the "affair" thread, the facts don't match up. If you insert Edge into the role of the cheating male, why would John Laurinaitis, who stepped in on the situation, be placed in the role of "tattletale" when it comes to a married wrestler and a worker who's involved with another wrestler? He's doing a favor to the company by stepping in on the relationship, but he's the "bad guy" when it comes back to the locker room? I've read in the PWInsider that the Matt/Lita/Edge affair and the Johnny Ace story are two separate cases and one doesn't have anything to do with the other. Boon 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 Even if it was the same story, I'm sure some of the wrestlers will think of Johnny Ace as a "tattle-tale," regardless of who's right and who's wrong. I'm sure there are some people who don't have a beef w/ Edge/Lita, b/c they're all cheating on their wives, gfs, etc.

humongous2002 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 If this is a shoot then I feel bad for Matt Hardy, since he requested to be traded from SD to Raw to become a Heat jobber just so he could be with Lita and this is how she repays him.

LessonInMachismo 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2005 A shining example: The Boeing CEO was removed for an affair with an underling. He was married. The grounds for dismissal were not the affair directly, so they say, but the fact that it embarassed the company.
Guest TheBASHER Report post Posted March 8, 2005 Jim Ross kinda predicted this whole thing back in 2001 at Wrestlemania 17 with his blunder.. "It’s Lita! Jerking Edge off……the ladder!” JR was so close

There are alot of Hardy/Lita marks that would know about this. The marks tried, but failed. And WWE can't mention it right now, anyway. Hardy isn't officially back on TV. And they need something to do after Wrestlemania, not a month before when the card's set. This is it.

Guest Deadbolt Report post Posted March 8, 2005 My question is, do you really care what goes on off screen? I don't. Matt, Lita, and Edge can do whatever they want when the cameras stop rolling, as long as they do their jobs when the cameras are on them. Their job is to entertain on a wrestling show. As long as they stay entertaining every Monday night and the Smackdown guys stay entertaining every Thursday night, then what goes on away from the screen doesn't bother me. reign 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2005 I wonder if they'll go through with a story on this...it could be pretty good...they've got all the players in the right spots...except for Matt who should be a late entrance in the ladder match if his knee can go...they should run with this for crying out loud...exploit it...I don't remember how long that this has been going on but with all the "slut" comments by Trish, the spraypaint and then as the story is breaking that night Lita shows up on Raw distracting Trish so that Hemme can give her the damn Twist of Fate...isn't that ironic..why not use her DDT? I think I saw a wink there....
