Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2005 My brother was telling me one of the producers on a local sports radio show, was telling how he was attempting to book Lee Corso on the show, and Corso told him to fuck off. Than when th Final Four was in Minneapolis. Chris Fowler dropped the "You know who I am" line on some cop, after getting a ticket for a parking violation. Any other stories first hand, or from what you feel are believable sources.
Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2005 While working at McDonalds many (many) years ago I had a few run-ins with MSU b-ball players. Most notably Parrish Hickman who tried to get out of paying for his food with the ole "You know who I am" line. My response? "Yeah you're the talentless waste of height aren't you?" the max 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2005 Edgerrin James came in when I worked at Finish Line and tried to get a ton of stuff for free because he was Edgerrin James. After he picked out about $700 worth of stuff and complained about having to actually pay for it, he asked me the "Don't you know who I am?" stupid line. I politely responded "I'm sorry, but I don't". He tried to explain it, but ended up paying for it all in cash...eight crisp 100 dollar bills. Whiner.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2005 You should have asked for his autograph after he got done paying. "Dude, Edge, can I get a scribble?"

Guest MikeSC Report post Posted March 16, 2005 I've actually had two rappers of some sort call in with problems on their cell phone and seemed shocked that not only did I not know who they were --- I didn't give the slightest shit who they were. -=Mike
nogoodnick 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2005 I know a guy who has been going to Oregon State since they won the Fiesta Bowl. It was right after RB Ken Simonton made the cover of Sports Illustrated and Simonton cut right in front of him in a cafeteria line and he told Ken politely to "get the fuck outta my way". Simonton stared at him for a moment in disbelief and then went to the back of line.

teke184 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2005 The all-time champ of this shit has to be Cecil "The Diesel" Collins, a former RB for LSU and the Miami Dolphins, who would break into womens' apartments and, when they'd get upset, would yell "You know who I am?!?" at them. Last I heard, the dumbfuck was doing time at The Glades down in Florida.
strummer 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2005 I went to Siena College from 1997-2001. Anyone who has heard of the school knows it's a basketball crazy school. My first semester Freshman year I had a class (Quantitative Business) with the new freshman sensation on the team. One day during class, he was goofing off in the back of the room with a couple other guys from the team. The Professor at first says "Could you guys please quiet down" Then it turned to "Could you gentleman please knock it off". Finally he got so mad and said (and I swear this is true) "All of you SHUT the FUCK UP! The kid gets up and says "Don't you know who I am!" The prof replies "No and I don't give a shit!" I ended up withdrawing from that class, because the teacher was a real prick (the entire class failed the first exam and he said "you guys don't know shit, your're not paying any attention god damnit!) It was situation where both parties were dicks, which made it even more funny.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2005 One of the bartenders brought Jim Kelly a double rye and coke and told him the price. Jim said "I'm Jim Kelly, I shouldn't have to pay."
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2005 I would of told Kelly, you're lucky we don't charge you quadruple the price, because your a four time loser. Dick Vitale by all accounts is a real asshole. Mr. Nice guy on the air, but can't be bothered off camera, unless he's making a profit. He charges money for an autograph. A couple local sports guys, did a interview with Vitale, to be aired Thursday, and they said Vitale did nothing but shill for Digornio's Pizza the entire time. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2005 At the OU Daily our basketball writers name is Jenny Dial. Well on her first year covering OU basketball there was a Big Monday game with OU and Texas. She was walking around down by the media area before the game and Dick Vitale said "Hey you girl! Here's 2 bucks! Can you bring me a hot dog?" She said "I don't work here! I'm a reporter!" and he said "Sure you are sweetheart! Now go get my hot dog!" Also Terrell Everett hit on one of my friends and Sonic one time. She was in her car and he walked up and said "Hey how you doing?" and they kind of talked for a bit and he was like "Do you know who I am? I play basketball for OU!" And she said "Oh really? You going to play that card on me? You think I'm some sort of jersey chaser?" And he got really embarassed and started stammering and had to apologize. It was pretty funny. They're actually friends now.
