PLAGIARISM! Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 Frank Black's 'Headache' is great just for the stupid grin on his face when he chainsaws a giant sign that says 'PAIN' in half.
Skywarp! Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 The Presidents of the United States of America - "Peaches" just for the ninja fight. That video Kotz posted of the aerobics class. Cindi Lauper - "Good Enough" Parts 1 and 2. Devo - "Peek-A-Boo!" Demonic heads laugh at Devo. (If anyone can find a link to this video, I will love you forever.)
EricMM Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 I really like most white stripes videos, but especially Seven Nation Army and Dead Leaves, Dirty Ground
Guest Ransome Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 'Free as a Bird' is extremely impressive, if only for the sheer amount of Beatles references they manage to cram into it. And while it's not really a music video per se, Dylan's 'Subterranean Homesick Blues' is excellent, and I know INXS at least borrowed the idea in one of their videos.
Ed Wood Caulfield Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 My Top 10 (In no particular order) Beastie Boys-"Sabotage" Quarashi-"Mr. Jinx" Talking Heads-"Once In A Lifetime" Fatboy Slim-"Praise You" Public Enemy-"Shut 'Em Down" Weezer-"Buddy Holly" Johnny Cash-"Hurt" Gorillaz-"Clint Eastwood" Eminem-"Stan" Cake-"Short Skirt, Long Jacket" I like all the videos made by Eminem, Gorillaz, Fatboy Slim, The Beastie Boys, Quarashi, and Public Enemy, but the videos made by those artists that are in my Top 10 are their best, IMO.
Guest PlatinumBoy Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 If anyone is listing videos just for the girls--like Tip Drill--find the uncut version of Lap Dance off of Kazaa or something. Lots of fine women in various states of undress.
Matt Young Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 Shit... I'll forget a lot, but here's a few that I like off the top of my head: Green Day- "Walking Contradiction" Pearl Jam- Do The Evolution Metallica- "One" Madonna- "Like A Prayer" Alien Ant Farm- "Glow" Beck- "Sexxlaws" Michael Jackson- "Thriller" and "Black or White" lots of cheesy hair metal videos Aerosmith- "Cryin'" and "Crazy" Red Hot Chili Peppers- "Zephyr Song" and "Under The Bridge" Weird Al- "Amish Paradise" Bone Thugs- "Crossroads" Guns N Roses- "November Rain" Blink 182- "All The Small Things" And so many that I've forgotten....
Jingus Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 If anyone is listing videos just for the girls I was thinking of mentioning Xtina in "Dirrty", but managed to keep my raging testosterone in check.
Black Lushus Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 i actually prefer her in that one video where she's walking around the neighborhood in that tiny pink haltertop and tiny blue booty shorts... oh, and it's definently not a best video candidate, but Gwen Stefani looks very scrumshish in this new video...
Special K Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 Dude, MattYoung November Rain? I hope you actually meant PURPLE Rain. Crying and Crazy? Those songs are the WORST. But I guess if you like one, you like the other, since they're the same song. A lot of the best videos ever can be found on the Michel Gondry and Spike Jonz compilations.
Jingus Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 Crying and Crazy? Those songs are the WORST. Hey now, any video that insinuates that Liv & Alicia have crazy schoolgirl lesbian sex is cool in my book.
Special K Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 Maybe if they edited the video down to the 15 seconds of titillation contained, it could be redeemable. As it is, the song seems longer then Wagner's Ring Cycle. And it sucks DICK.
Black Lushus Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 can't forget the random dude picking his nose and getting caught by those two...

Ravenbomb Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Johnny Cash - Hurt Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy Michael Jackson - Thriller Queen - Bohemean Rhapsody Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer Weird Al - Jurassic Park Would those WWF Desire videos count? If so, then add the Kid Rock "Lonely Road of Faith" one to my list.
Nighthawk Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Johnny Cash - Hurt Fuck this video, not for the video itself, but for the baggage.
Art Sandusky Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 "Sabotage," "Bittersweet Symphony," "Karma Police," and "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" are tops on my list.
PLAGIARISM! Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 I still think 'Fell in love with a girl' has to be the best White Stripes vid.
Black Lushus Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 "Bittersweet Symphony," Good call...gotta love the chick raggin on him for half a block while he completely ignores her!
spman Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Take On Me by A-Ha and The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats are 2 videos I'm unlikely to forget anytime soon.
Jingus Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 I'm fond of videos that don't follow the lyrics of the song at all, but instead redefine the song's meaning. Metallica's video for "Turn the Page" is a good example of this.
Si82 Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 I still think 'Fell in love with a girl' has to be the best White Stripes vid. I'd agree with that but I think "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" comes a close second. "The Hardest Button to Button" is pretty good as well.
