franchise632 Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I haven' t seen this posted anywhere but I was on myspace the other day and Blue Meanie posted the following link: Shoot Challenge It takes you to a video of Tracy Smothers making a shoot challenge to Bradshaw. I have heard stories of Tracy being a pretty bad dude when it comes to a legit fight and being a very strong man. Watch and discuss.
UZI Suicide Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I hate JBL, but I have a feeling he'd beat Tracy Smothers' ass.
Ced Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I demand a Brawl-for-All between JBL and Smothers to satisfy my morbid curiosity of who's better at going into business for themselves when the chips are down, winner faces Bob Holly.
Enigma Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 As valiant as Tracey Smothers' intents are (who wouldn't like a piece of JBL for what he did?), I echo the sentiments of the guy earlier who thought Smothers wouldn't have a chance with JBL. How old is Smothers now? Late-40s?
cameron chaos Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Age doesn't matter, I know a sixty plus year old man that could whoop Bradshaw's ass simply because he's a tough old bastard. Tracy Smothers has probably seen his fair share or brawls before and to put up all that... well, I can't imagine anyone doing that unless they were certain they'd kick ass and win.
Angelus Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 well, I can't imagine anyone doing that unless they were certain they'd kick ass and win Publicity ... He knows that WWE management would not allow something like this
nl5xsk1 Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I think making public challenges for fights went out of style when Axl Rose & Vince Neil were calling each other out in the 80s ... if Smothers wants a piece of JBL, I'm sure he knows how to get in touch with him and can ask him to meet in a dark alley somehere. Public challenges are teh suck.
cameron chaos Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I don't think they allowed Orton, Edge or JBL's past actions either, but it doesn't mean they didn't occur. Besides, the only publicity Smothers will get is talk in wrestling circles, it's not going to get him more bookings or any serious media coverage either.
Angelus Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 the only publicity Smothers will get is talk in wrestling circles Any publicity is good plus i don't know maybe he will use the "Yeah JBL fears me, he didn't answer my challenge" to increase his image (..). I guess he's own biggest mark
nl5xsk1 Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I wouldn't say he's his own biggest mark, I'd say he's sticking his nose in a friend's fight because he knows that he's got a better chance against said-friend's "enemy'.
Fro Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 New Jack is even scared to death of Smothers, if that tells you anything. Smothers is one crazy mutha and I'd pay to see he and JBL fight it out.
I like Forums Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I didn't check the video but what is the beef?
Dangerous A Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I'm not going to challenge the legitimacy of Smother's toughness and ability to hold his own in a street fight since it's been confirmed by a ton of wrestlers, but challenging someone via video just screams lame. He's got connections in the wrestling business, so he isn't going to be hard to find. If he really wants a piece of JBL, just go find him and take care of business. No need to grandstand a challenge.
Spaceman Spiff Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I didn't check the video but what is the beef? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> JBL throwing legit punches at the Blue Meanie (who had his back turned to JBL) at the end of the ECW PPV.
Guest BrokenWings Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I posted this, as well as a link to a fan-cam video of JBL shooting on Meanie in the ECW thread.
I like Forums Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 The link to the FanCam doesn't seem to be working. Any other place to get a look at it?
Jingus Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 For what it's worth from someone who knows the guy slightly and has heard a LOT of stories about him, Tracy Smothers would fucking kill Bradshaw in a fight, hands-down. And knowing Tracy, he didn't make the challenge because he wanted the publicity, he made it because he really MEANT it. He just did it publicly so everyone would know about it, because of course JBL ain't gonna answer some indy worker's challenge. I for one wouldn't be surprised if a year or two from now I hear about some altercation between the two at a bar or an airport or something.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I'd pay to see JBL get his ass whipped in real life.
CheesalaIsGood Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I'd pay to see JBL get his ass whipped in real life. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So would I.
Modern Man's Hustle Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Christ, Smothers is an intense son of a bitch.
Adam Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 My money is on Tracy Smothers, would never happen though, it'd be a PR nightmare for WWE.
Guest *KNK* Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 It's not hard to find JBL. Just call up one of the smackdown wrestlers such as Nunzio and find out WHERE they are going to be on a certain date and in the area and most likely the hotel bar, you will find JBL. Smothers though a legit tough guy issued the challenge just to make JBL look weak.
Guest JMA Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Didn't Bradshaw feud with Smothers in WWF when he was "Justin Hawk" and Smothers was "Freddy Joe Floyd"? That's kind of funny. Anyway, I'd have to agree with Jingus and pick Smothers to win in a fight. But it might just be better if a group of WWE wrestlers ambush Bradshaw in his hotel room and shove a broomstick up his ass.

And are you a lawyer nominating yourself to defend Tracy Smothers when JBL and the E charges him for assualt and sues him?
Art Sandusky Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Man, for some reason I always thought Tracy Smothers was British.
Guest JerichosHi-Lite Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 WrestleMania 22 match anybody?
I like Forums Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 So does anybody want to share some "Tracy Smothers is a tough son of a bitch" stories?
Ravenbomb Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Tracy Somthers is so tough he breast-feeds John Madden. He's a two-ton man-mountain who could palm a medicine ball
Guest JMA Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 JBL won't accept this, he only likes attacking from the rear. Anyway, Smothers seems like a geuinely stand-up guy. Even if JBL doesn't accept (and I think it's most likely that he won't), I'm still glad that Smothers got some shots in on him.
