Thoth 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 Shin Megami Tensei? Well, if you know Spanish, Japanese vowels follow the same rules as Spanish vowels, as in that there are only five vowel sounds. Compared to English, the letter a can be pronounced "ey" or "ah" or "aah" depending on the word it's in. So just pretend that the words are in Spanish. EricMM 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 I can say that part well enough. It's getting the guy at the register to UNDERSTAND that is the trouble. Shit, he had trouble with "Fire Pro Wrestling Returns" Me: Do you have Fire Prowrestling Returns? Them: Halo? Me: NO not halo! etc.
Thoth 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 Well, did you know that 75% of retail store employees have a hearing problem? Verbal reinforcement is just not going to be effective in those cirucmstances. That's when you have to hit them.

Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2007 I can't decide which DS game to get - LEGO Star Wars or Call of Duty 4 - any suggestions? Personally haven't seen how COD4 runs on the DS, Lego Star Wars seems decent, though I've heard its a bit buggy in parts.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2007 More fodder for the "video games are bad" people... Unless they were big fans of Jax, I am not seeing the relationship to Mortal Kombat at all. Kicks and punches last time I check existed way before MK did. And "I don't know, I was drunk" is never a really good defense against murder.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2007 "You raped her." "Man, I was drunk, I don't remember anything!" Maybe they did a crouching uppercut on her? Perhaps a bicycle kick?
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2007 "You raped her." "Man, I was drunk, I don't remember anything!" Maybe they did a crouching uppercut on her? Perhaps a bicycle kick? The spine and neck injuries were caused by the Mortal Kombat crouching uppercut that sends opponents 10 feet into the air. Anytime you hit someone under the chin so hard, that they're launched that far into the air, only to land flat on their back, the end result will rarely be good. AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2007 So, for an early Christmas present I got Monster House for GBA. Yes, it's a licensed game. Yes, it's a *portable* licensed game. Yes, it was *published by THQ*. Yet, somehow, against all expectations, it's good. Also, it's It was given to me by a friend familiar with my gaming tastes, and I'm about halfway through the game and having a great time. It's like Zelda with a) squirt-guns; b) hot-swappable characters; c) the feel of one large dungeon with multiple levels with occasional backtracking, but without the need to go back a long way or muck through a ton of areas with nothing in them. So it's fun and surprisingly polished, and I'd like to just say the Temple of the Ocean King can go to hell. Only real gripe I have is the lack of enemy types. I guess the easy difficulty too, but I can't really say it's much easier than any recent Zelda title. ---------- The MK story is horrible but stupid people can obsess over anything and become dangerous/murderers. Anya 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2007 Just because they weren't trying to shoot ice at each other doesn't mean they weren't acting out Mortal Kombat. The game didn't make them do it but everytime something this like this happens gamers are quick to deny the game had anything to do with it at all. This is the 3rd MK copycat death since 2000. I am open to the idea of ending the series and sending Ed Boon to jail.
