Damaramu Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 How does everyone here dress? Because I've been noticing the trend lately is to wear Abercrombie or Hollister clothes that are way to expensive and look like they're old as hell and what not. Or pink shirts and popped collars. I just don't like that style. Usually dorks and dickheads wear it anyways(zack malibu back off!) Now I'm not saying that to anyone here that wears that. Just some of the people I have observed. So don't take immediate offense. I mean I'm a jeans and a t-shirt kind of guy. Well jeans with big holes in the knees(that got there naturally i might add) and band t-shirts. What does everyone else wear? Do you feel you have to dress a certain way to impress everyone or are you like "Fuck it. I wear what I want." Because I have a friend that dresses to impress everyone.
Dangerous A Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 At work, it's business casual. Khaki's or slacks with a collared button down shirt. When away from the office, I usually wear cargo shorts or cargo pants (think Old Navy) and some T-shirts, usually ringer T's. Also will sport football and basketball jerseys, especially when going to a sports bar or sporting event. At the gym, I'll wear either a puro or lucha shirt since I'm disgusted with and don't own any WWE shirts.
Guest Vitamin X Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 Fuck, I dress like Dama. I haven't spent money on clothes in years, and I always say I'm going to, but never get around to it, mostly because I rather spend money on buying myself electronics-type stuff (video games, DVDs, and/or equipment to support one or the other, etc.), books, or CDs than go clothes-shopping.. I have only about 2-3 pairs of shoes (pair of black Etnies which are worn out as fuck, pair of white etnies with black stripes and shoelaces that aren't quite as worn out, and a pair of black Lugz), and most of my shirts are just either plain or sports-related or band t-shirts. I have a couple novelty shirts as well, but don't really wear them all that often, except at home, and of course I have a couple jerseys as well. And I have a ton of jeans as well, where I usually get them for about $15-20 each at the Quiksilver outlet nearby. When you make about $400-600 a month with $250 in bills, you don't really care too much about buying clothes unless you're just REALLY concerned with your image.
Damaramu Posted July 15, 2005 Author Report Posted July 15, 2005 Yeah I only had 2 pairs of shoes. Old running shoes I wear to jog and black chuck taylors I wear just normally. Sometimes I'll wear and eagles jersey or baggy khaki shorts.
CBright7831 Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 Summer: button down dress shirt, khaki shorts or plain white tee shirts and blue basketball shorts Winter: button down dress shirt, jeans or khaki, and a hooded sweater
Matt Young Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 I mostly wear jeans and a t-shirt with my black Vans, although I do dress up nicely on occasion. I don't wear shorts despite the 100+ degree weather, because I have shortish, skinny legs. Most of my clothes are black or blue, and I wear a lot of band shirts. I do make sure that the clothes I do wear are in good condition, and I am very meticulous about my appearance, especially my hair, if I'm leaving the house. But still, most of my clothes don't even fit me anymore since I've lost weight.
Paul Stanley Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 I wear some fubu cargo shorts with one of my H. Texan's jersey or khacki shorts with a sleeveless tee (with or without logo) or during some cold nights my jeans and a tshirt of one of 30 various 70s/80s rock band tees i have. shoes? bah..some old ass reeboks and some running shoes i got from wal mart\\\
Golgo 13 Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 I only have two pairs of shoes I wear, a generic pair of black boots and an old pair of Nike track shoes. Also a pair of black Lugz boots, but those are basically done for. I should get around to buying some new shoes. During the year I'll wear jeans, cargoes, track or basketball pants, with shorts variations of each during the summer. Up top it's a t-shirt, jersey, hooded sweatshirt, or a t-shirt and open flannel/dress shirt layering thing. Many of my clothes are black or blue and cheap. My only vices are the jerseys, or the occasional pair of JNCOs.
the max Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Work: cargo shorts and collared shirts is my dress code. I wear the same shoes that I've had for a few months now, but I need new ones. Casual: Warm-up pants. Not really into the swooshy sounding pants, but mesh-type athletic pants work well. I mostly just wear teeshirts and jerseys and whatnot. Mostly wear sandals.
NoCalMike Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 At Work, business casual, outside of work, usually Jean Shorts or Jeans, with a Metal shirt, a Sports Jersey/shirt or a random horror movie shirt
Angle-plex Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 I rarely wear shorts. This summer was the first time I've bought new clothes since three or four years ago. Usually I wear jeans and a polo shirt or a T-Shirt.
Nighthawk Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Hip hop goth. I dress the way I do because it feels sexy.
Gary Floyd Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Well, usually a t-shirt with something amusing on it or of a band or musician, and jeans, or shorts in the summer. I dress this way because I'm a lazy fucker, who is amused by just about everything.
Just John Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 T-shirt, denim shorts. Occasionally, I'll mix in one of my many jerseys, but those are mostly for collection. When it get's cold, fairly heavy long sleeve shirts (not sweatshirts, though) and jeans.
Epic Reine Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Usually a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers with a backwards baseball cap. It's the true bum attire.
tekcop Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 I dress way too much like those nu-metal kids except with black and death metal and horror movie shirts instead of whatever bands it is kids listen to nowadays. JNCO jeans and pants from Hot Topic mostly. Lot's of t-shirts with the sleeves cut off. Almost every shirt I own has something to do with metal, movies, or geekdom. I have a Bad Religion "No Religion" sweat-wristband I wear nearly everyday. Along with this really awesome leather watch with three "buckles." I used to wear an upside down cross around my neck with a choker style necklace but it broke and I've replaced it with a small upside down pentagram. I own three pairs of shoes with I alternate between depending on what I'm wearing; black hi-top Chucks, pink and black Vans, and this incredibly hippy shoe called "The Unswoosher." I think I look sexy but people who don't know me tend to look at me as some sort of angsty teenage freak but I really have the personality of a gay AD&D nerd.
CanadianGuitarist Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Khakis or nice shorts with a button up or golf shirt. I essentially wear solid colour shirts and solid colour pants/shorts everywhere. I basically wear the same clothes on a golf course that I would anywhere else.
Zetterberg is God Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Pretty much jeans and t-shirts with the occasional baseball, hockey or football jersey thrown in.
Matt Young Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Can't forget hoodies. When it gets chilly, but not cold enough for my leather jacket (out here in California, it rarely gets too cold at night) I'll throw on a hoodie. The ones I have look good on me and make me appear to not be as sickly skinny as I truly am.
Damaramu Posted July 16, 2005 Author Report Posted July 16, 2005 So who here owns an extensive collection of pink shirts with th collars always popped? Seems every "cool" guy is wearing them these days.
Fökai Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Out and about: surf-brand shirts and board shorts, capped off with flip-flops (I live in Hawaii, for crying out loud). I'll occasionally wear a pair of jeans and a throwback jersey, but only at parties and get-togethers. No accessories, mostly because I feel they're a waste of money, although if I found a sweet watch at a great price, I'd wear it. As for the shoes, I've got a few pairs of Nike, And-1 and K-Swiss..though I always need more. Home: Either board shorts or basketball shorts...that's all. The seasons here are too hot to wear a shirt indoors. So who here owns an extensive collection of pink shirts with th collars always popped? Seems every "cool" guy is wearing them these days. Fuck that noise. I'm not some contestant on "Room Raiders".
Guest BrokenWings Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Dickies' black or grey workpants, usually some form of band t-shirt, and if it gets cold out, I'll throw on a zip-up hoodie. I can't express how much more I like zip-up's as compared to regular hoodies.
Matt Young Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 So who here owns an extensive collection of pink shirts with th collars always popped? Seems every "cool" guy is wearing them these days. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Zack Malibu. Pink is fine, but the popped collar look is just stupid looking to me. I don't judge people who sport it, but it's not my thing. Actually, a guy named "Prime Time Playa" who wrestles in what used to be my local indy fed before I moved dresses like that.

Carnival Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Hip hop goth. I dress the way I do because it feels sexy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> seconded. but I don't feel sexy.
ant_7000 Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 I kinda dress like Kanye West except I don't wear too many bright colors or wear anything plaid.
CanadianChick Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 I like the way you think Matt. I own about 12 hoodies/hoodie zip ups. They are definately a stable in my wardrobe, even more so than sweatpants. And I like wearing them big. I'm usually a small/medium in women's wear. I buy large men hoodies. Very comfy.
Nighthawk Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 I used to wear an upside down cross around my neck with a choker style necklace but it broke and I've replaced it with a small upside down pentagram. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Isn't an upside down pentagram a pentacle? You filthy witch.
