The Niggardly King Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Damn, Colbert just broke down. That was awesome. I never thought I'd see anyone get that emotional and happy over this.
Gary Floyd Posted November 5, 2008 Author Report Posted November 5, 2008 Honestly, Rob Riggle's like my favorite thing about the Daily Show as of late.
Art Sandusky Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 This kinda rules. The whole country just up and started partying. Who knew?
KingPK Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I think he was crying because the easy target is gone. Now he's gotta actually WORK for an Emmy.
RepoMan Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I feel damn good right now for being behind Obama from the start. I know there's not going to be some great overnight change, but I feel like we finally have a guy in the White House serious about expanding health care and repairing America's image abroad.
DMann2003 Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Bout time this country elected someone other than a middle aged white guy...okay a middle aged biracial guy isn't too much of a change, but yet fuck it it sooooo is.
Gary Floyd Posted November 5, 2008 Author Report Posted November 5, 2008 It really happened. This has been like the best year ever.
Matt Young Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I got chills when I heard the announcement. What a great day in American history.
The Niggardly King Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 The Mulatto Takeover Begins. And to think some people quite a time ago thought this would have been Hilary/Rudy.
NoCalMike Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I found it hilarious that the minute Obama was announced the winner, CNN goes to a shot of some random hall of a bunch of partying african americans....lol. Damn I have never seen this many members of the board reading a Current Events topic......Welcome guys, feel free to post your reactions, don't just lurk. One of the CNN Anchors broke down as he was explaining how Obama got his start in politics in St. Louis, where a race riot happened. The camera wasn't on him but you could hear it in his voice.
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Obama taking Indiana would be the cherry on the top!
garfieldsnose Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 You think if Hillary won the nomination she would have beat McCain? I have a suspicion that is a big no.
foleyfanforever88 Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 This shit sucks. That's all I have to say.
NoCalMike Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Well now it's time for me to focus on some local props like 8....hoping it goes down in defeat.
Blade2kxx Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 You know something? Had this been anyone BUT McCain, this would have been an even worse bloodbath.
Anakin Flair Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 AP is reporting that McCain has called Obama to concede. I've honestly never been prouder to be an American. This feels great.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I don't know what to think. I did vote him and hope whatever he does it helps the country in long run.
Kinetic Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Hugs all around, Liberal Echo Chamber. We got it! We got it!
NoCalMike Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 You think if Hillary won the nomination she would have beat McCain? I have a suspicion that is a big no. It's hard to say. I think the race would definately be neck and neck, because Hillary was a more polarizing figure from the get-go. The right wing had to TURN Obama into a polarizing figure by calling him a terrorist-buddy and a socialist, but Hillary already had the right-wing hatred going into the election.
Canadian Brandon Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I voted McCain, but I am truly proud of our nation for a pretty clean election. Congrats to Obama and Democrats. I feel like this is a step in the right direction for American despite the fact that I don't agree with some of Obama's views.
SamoaRowe Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Hugs all around, Liberal Echo Chamber. We got it! We got it! Yes, this is a most wonderful feeling.
NoCalMike Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 This shit sucks. That's all I have to say. Not as bad as the Cowboys secondary....
garfieldsnose Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I can't believe what I am witnessing. In my diversity class tomorrow, we need to talk about this the whole time, because something like this will stay with me for a long, long time. I love how all my facebook friends are updating their statuses minute by minute either praising or complaining. Good times. PHILLIES + OBAMA = NEW AMERICA.
