Lord of The Curry Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 "Man of The Hour" by Pearl Jam from the Big Fish Soundtrack kills shit. Holla back, ya heard?
Carnival Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Oasis "Fucking in the Bushes" from Snatch
Lord of The Curry Posted August 13, 2005 Author Report Posted August 13, 2005 Rage Against the Machine "No Shelter" from the Godzilla Soundtrack. Solid soundtrack from a shitty movie.
Corey_Lazarus Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 John Carpenter f/ Anthrax - "Kick Ass" from Ghosts of Mars Rob Zombie - "Pussy Liquor" from House of 1,000 Corpses Birdbrain - "Youth of America" from Scream White Zombie - "Feed the Gods" from Airheads The Ramones - "Pet Sematary" from Pet Sematary
Red Baron Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 I've always like the Wallflowers cover of Heroes, and for some strange reason Take a Look Around by Limp Bizkit of the MI:2 soundtrack is a good listen now and then.
CanadianGuitarist Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 How could I be the first to say Dick Dale's Misirlou from Pulp Fiction?
Lord of The Curry Posted August 13, 2005 Author Report Posted August 13, 2005 The opening theme called "Prementory" from Last of the Mohicans is a sick song.
Youth N Asia Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 "JAR" by Greenday from the Angus soundtrack. Great soundtrack, Weezer, Ash, Dance Hall Crashers...good stuff
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Anyone a fan of the "Demons, Demons!" instrumental from the beginning of Demons? Others: Theme from Halloween "Suzanne" - Mallrats "KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE"....Killer Klowns-owns-owns-own-ow owns, from OUTER SPACE!
Insane Bump Machine Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Currently I love Goodnight Moon by Shivaree, the song playing over the credits of Kill Bill Vol. 2 But overall probably Son of a Preacher Man by Dusty Springfield, the song playing when Vincent Vega enters Mia Wallace's home in Pulp Fiction.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 All of the Bowie material on The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. The placement of "Life on Mars" and "Queen Bitch" especially.
DCMaximo Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 "My Sharona" by the Knack from "Reality Bites" "Playground Love" by Air from "The Virgin Suicides" Plus the Cowboy Junkies cover of "Sweet Jane" worked really well in "Natural Born Killers", not so well on the actual CD soundtrack
Annabelle Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 All of the Bowie material on The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. The placement of "Life on Mars" and "Queen Bitch" especially. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> agreeable. the life in mars placement was my favorite. but it still doesn't beat sigur ros's staralfur right at the end; which incidently is not on the soundtrack at all. for whatever reason.
Epic Reine Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Love Rollercoaster by Red Hot Chili Peppers from the Beavis and BUTT-Head Do America soundtrack. Burn by The Cure from The Crow soundtrack.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Some of you are just naming songs from movies. And the #1 is obv. the piano outro to "Layla," in GoodFellas.
Hank Kingsley Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 And the #1 is obv. the piano outro to "Layla," in GoodFellas. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yes.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 The redone Bowie tunes were the best thing about The Life Aquatic.
The Amazing Rando Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 "Mad World" or "Killing Moon" from Donnie Darko "Don't You Forget About Me" from The Breakfast Club
Darthtiki Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 #1 Crush from Romeo & Juliet The World is Not Enough, both by Garbage Selling Jesus by Skunk Anise Hardly Wait by PJ Harvey sung by Juliette Lewis While the Earth Sleeps by Deep Forest with Peter Gabriel all from Strange Days The Saint Soundtrack is solid top to bottom Most of the Orange County is good too
Youth N Asia Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 BAH! How could I forget "Mad World" that's at least a tie for #1 with "J.A.R." now
5_moves_of_doom Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 "Moon River" from Breakfast at Tiffany's makes me cry.
Zack Malibu Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Ash Someone else actually recalls/likes these guys? I saw them open for Stabbing Westward in '96 and got hooked, but other than "Goldfinger" and "Girls From Mars", they never really had anything that stood out or got major airplay around here.
cbacon Posted August 14, 2005 Report Posted August 14, 2005 Simple Minds - "Don't You Forget About Me" - The Breakfast Club Goo Goo Dolls - "Lazy Eye" - Batman & Robin New Radicals - "Mother We Just Can't Get Enough" - A Walk to Remember Beck - "Everyone's Gotta Learn Sometime" - Eternal Sunshine
