Richard Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 The Padres don't deserve to be in the playoffs when they play this shitty.
Bruiser Chong Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 The downward spiral of the White Sox is getting more entertaining by the day. Now they're implying that Peralta may have his bat corked because the third base coach went and picked it up from the infield so quickly. Hawk: When's the last time you saw that? DJ: Makes you think. They're really reaching for straws now. They sound worse than the Cubs.
mike546 Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Can the Yankees middle relief make one game easy? Thats twice in the last week they've had leads of seven or eight that they've had to use Mo in. Oy.
Brett Favre Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Define "good". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think the Devil Rays are like 36-25 after the All-Star Break. I might be wrong though.
Brett Favre Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 A-Rod is a HR shy from tying the Yankee righty HR Record after an opposite field upper deck shot.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted September 21, 2005 Author Report Posted September 21, 2005 Astros win, Phillies lose. Marlins are just about fighting for their playoff lives in this game, tied in the 12th.
mike546 Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 God is Allan Embree useless. Just terrible.
Guest Fishyswa Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 UGH. I wouldn't mind us signing a couple sawx if they actually fucking did something...but this is just pouring salt on an open wound.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted September 21, 2005 Author Report Posted September 21, 2005 Marlins lose, fall three behind in the wild card. Phillies fall two back. Right now, the spot is the Astros' to lose.
bob_barron Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 I want to beat the Phillies to clinch the division, and I want the Marlins to lose since I hate the Marlins, but I don't want Houston to win the WC. I'm so conflicted
Brett Favre Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Andy Pettitte has been so underrated this season.
Boon Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Four Red Sox with four hits- ties major league record. Manny and Ortiz hit 2 HR's each- good lord.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted September 21, 2005 Author Report Posted September 21, 2005 I want to beat the Phillies to clinch the division, and I want the Marlins to lose since I hate the Marlins, but I don't want Houston to win the WC. I'm so conflicted <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hedge your bets. Buy three hats.
Mik Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Ha. And I hate to be pessimistic, but that about does it for Florida.
Bruiser Chong Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Could be worse. You could be a Cubs fan.
Mik Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Yeah... at least I've been lucky enough to have two world series teams to cheer for in the past 10 years. And I think this marks the first time in at least two years, and maybe ever, that I'm going away from the Marlins avatar/sig. How is anyone going to recognize me anymore? The Marlins have a lot of work to do in the offseason - there is too much dead weight.
Richard Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 I want an NL east team to win the wc so the padres wouldn't have to face the Cards in the 1st round. Though it probably won't matter.
Spaceman Spiff Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Lidle should not have been taken out of that game when he was. Cormier comes in, walks the next 2 batters to force in a run. Then, the Braves tack on 2 more runs in the next inning to go up 4-0. Lidle couldn't have faced Adam LaRoche after intentionally walking A. Jones? Bad move by Manuel.
mike546 Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Andy Pettitte has been so underrated this season. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I ashamed of myself for saying the guys who told George to get Javy instead of keeping Andy is a genius. edit: Tied at six in Chicago! I know I should be rooting for the Sox at this point, but I see the Indians passing them.
Bruiser Chong Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Jenks blows his second save in as many nights. Hawk's reaction to Rowand misplaying the ball that wound up being a double was priceless. "That one's hit to center...and Aaron broke the wrong way and he's got...no...NO...NO"
bob_barron Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Yeah... at least I've been lucky enough to have two world series teams to cheer for in the past 10 years. The Marlins have a lot of work to do in the offseason - there is too much dead weight. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So are you going to admit you were wrong about the Fish this year? Cause I like hearing people admit they were wrong.
mike546 Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Is Ozzie on crack? How do you not play the infield in when your up a run in the 9th??
Guest TheDon Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Pettite is a fucking traitor who would never had signed with the Yankees unless they broke the bank for him but he can take a big time home team discount with the Astros. Fuck him.
Guest Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 It's so wrong to want to play at home. Fuck you.
LooseCannon25 Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Pettite is a fucking traitor who would never had signed with the Yankees unless they broke the bank for him but he can take a big time home team discount with the Astros. Fuck him. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Traitor my ass....Steinbrenner disrespected him, and didn't even have the decency to talk to him personally about resigning. Pettite just wanted to feel appreciated. Now look, i'm sure the Yankees wouldn't mind swapping him for Randy Johnson, Carl Pavano, or Jaret Wright nowadays......fuck him? Nah, fuck the Yankees
Bored Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Mark Ellis is yo daddy. At the moment he's hitting .329 but he's gonna come up short of qualifying batting title as he spent the first half in a needless platoon with Marco Scutaro. I don't know where this came from and it'll probably end up being a fluke year but he's right now by far the A's most reliable hitter.
devo Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Another great game at US Cellular tonight, even if I'm not pleased with the result. Indians should have been leading going into the ninth, but then again, the Sox center fielder really shoulda got that ball. Oh well.
Guest TheDon Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 After Pettite no showed game 6 of the 2001 World Series the Yankees didn't owe him shit. He is having a great season good for him but he still is a traitor so Fuck him.
Guest Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 If the Yankees don't owe Pettitte shit, he doesn't owe shit to the organization. So fuck you for your offbase comments.
The Czech Republic Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 He's a traitor? Steinbrenner didn't even want him back
