Zack Malibu Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Jericho is a lot more open to working with TNA these days once he heard about Sting's deal. I also believe that he's one of those extremely put off by the treatment of Guerrero's memory with these stupid cheap-heat angles.
Guest Princess Leena Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 If TNA could buy a time machine... they could be WCW again! And lose to WWE again.
geniusMoment Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 If I could buy a time machine I could go forward in time, buy a sports almanac, then go back in time and clean up on betting. Someone should really make a movie about that.
CanadianGuitarist Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 If I could buy a time machine I could go forward in time, buy a sports almanac, then go back in time and clean up on betting. Someone should really make a movie about that. Or at least write a book about it....then to complete the circle of life, you could research the book of movie in an almanac. Five million? Not enough. Unless time can be bought and brought to the present...which it can't. Never say never, but not for at least 18 months. And that's a pretty conservative estimate.

nl5xsk1 Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 ^ I think that was a wink-wink joke about BttF2. Oh, and other than Jericho & Lesnar, the wrestlers listed aren't worth getting. And Jericho & Lesnar aren't enough to beat WWE in the ratings.
daileyxplanet Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 I hope Genius was being sarcastic. If he didn't know it had already been done, then he needs to be kicked in the teeth.
dubq Posted February 10, 2006 Author Report Posted February 10, 2006 Think about it. if TNA got 5 mill from Spike they could get Goldberg, Chris Jerico, Bret Hart, Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan and many midcarders. Am i wrong or is that worth it? And if TNA had them they would beat WWE for sure. Honestly. Do you even know what the fuck "comments that don't warrant a thread" means?

GODSON Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I always wanted too say this but TNA have a bad marketing team. They put no effort into promoting their product or stars. They need to talk to some big agencies so some of their wrestlers can appear in more( better than Morphoplex) commercials. I think Christian,Team 3d and Sting is big enough to appear in a skittles commercial or something of that nature. I don't blame the low buyrates on the wrestling and storylines that much, I blame it on the poor promotion and marketing strategies more. What about their products they sell? Those tshirts is horrible and they rush their dvds.

They sign former WWE stars. They have a billion dollar princess behind them. They have merchandise in major retail stores but yet they can't at least get 50,000 people to buy their ppvs. ECW before the deal with TNN was getting over 50,000 buys only with limited syndication tv(don't bring up wrestling being hot because that was before the Attitude era and WWE almost went out of business). I also think ECW sold more tapes through tape traders than TNA is doing now. There's no excuse for having a bad marketing team.
Dobbs 3K Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 It seems like they need more advertisers, period. You see a Morphoplex ad every single break during Impact.
razazteca Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 f TNA could buy a time machine... they could be WCW again! TNA needs to hire Michael Buffer to be the announcer for the PPV events. "To the ladies and gentlemen in attendence ARE YOU READY....Orlando Florida ARE YOU READY...and to the millions watching on PPV...ARE YOU READY...for some TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION!" "He is a former NWA Heavyweight Champion of the World, former X Division Champion, former NWA Tag Team Champion of the World....he is the high flying, the master of the Styles Clash....he is the PHENOMENAL AJ STYLES!"
Twisted Intestine Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 So what was with Jeff Hardy's gimmick when he was first signed? Was he going to be a time traveller? Why was he shown as an old man with the words "See you in the future.. Jeff Hardy 2032", or something like that? Was the idea dropped? I was looking forward to Jeff Hardy the time machine.

Twisted Intestine Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 It did! On the Anniversary show where Jeff made his debut. and he was saying everything in rhymes. "I'm so glad to work for you... happy anniversary, TNA 2."
Bruce Blank Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 "He is a former NWA Heavyweight Champion of the World, former X Division Champion, former NWA Tag Team Champion of the World....he is the high flying, the master of the Styles Clash....he is the PHENOMENAL AJ MYLES!" Edited to give it that true Michael Buffer feel
DangerousDamon Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 I miss Chris Sabin as a Chicken Shit heel.
Angle-plex Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 Christian on Bubba The Love Sponge Monday. Spike TV cameras will be in the studio.

death_by_burrito Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Am I the only one that thinks Jay Lethal doesn't live up to his name? How are you supposed to take a guy named "Lethal" seriously, when all everyone talks about is how nice he is and he is the next blue chipper? I dunno, just something that's been bothering me for a while.

Donovan Morgan and Mike Modest in border patrol uniforms was so WCW cira 98 I loved it, oh do I miss the randomness of WCW booking.
