Guest nokia Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Thanks to Mike Aldren Tajiri's future in the WWE is apparently questionable at the moment. He hinted in one Japanese magazine this past last week that he might be leaving the company soon because his wife can't get a U.S. driving license, so she is stranded at home while he's on the road * I can't remember where I found this news - I saw it at several "news sites" Any thoughts? He's better of without wwe, but he'll be missed
Team Angle Pusher Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Doesn't matter, he has nothing to do right now. He can't really start a tag team with somebody now cause nobody fits him. Kenzo Suzuki would have been a great tag partner and William Regal but Regal is on SD! now so Tajiri has nothing to do. He's jobbing on Heat to Tyson Tomko. Or they let him get vicious and challenge for the IC Title or for the World Tag Team Titles with someone who fits Tajiri's character. He's probably better off in Japan or TNA would be kinda cool but his wife can't get a US license.
DrVenkman PhD Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Eugene/Tajiri's tag team union of people that were hurt by Regal truning heel is a fine idea.
edotherocket Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 I'd like to see the dude go to Japan and work in NOAH or something.
Dobbs 3K Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Frankly, I'm surprised WWE hasn't released him by now. Not because Tajiri sucks (he doesn't), but because WWE hasn't been able to come up with anything for him to do consistently.
Guest *KNK* Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 They likely keep Tajiri because they want him to be the de-facto star face when they do the Japan tours and because they know if they need a short brief comedy angle, Tajiri is a good guy to go to. However, Tajiri has really been wasting away in WWE lately. He used to be used quite consistantly and was one of the top "stars" of the whole Invasion angle and they keep him in the scene for the next couple years until lately where he appears to have dropped off the face of the earth.
daileyxplanet Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Tajiri would be a grand addition to TNA where he could be with his stranded wife much more. Either that, or he could get her a chauffer.
Guest Fishyswa Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 He's an IC contender waiting to be made. He's the only guy his size who could beat the shit out of Snitsky and have everyone believe it. Push the kicks, add one sexy move the moveset, and this guy could easily be right there.
justcoz Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 He's an IC contender waiting to be made. He's the only guy his size who could beat the shit out of Snitsky and have everyone believe it. Push the kicks, add one sexy move the moveset, and this guy could easily be right there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That and the fact that he's consistently entertaining in every skit that the writers come up with, no matter how horrible the skits may be. And the fact that he's still over to a degree despite being jobbed out and his style stands out from the rest of the roster but is safe in terms of "WWE style". This guy could easily be placed into Hollywood and be successful. The Rock needs to make him his Jackie Chan to The Rock's Chris Tucker.
razazteca Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Tajiri needs to go to Orlando because: 1) TNA rarely leaves Florida 2) Team Japan with Tajiri and Nosawa would rule 3) Tajiri fits perfectly into the X Division 4) Reunion with the Sinister Minister would rule 5) The small audience would mark out for anything he does
AndrewTS Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 raza: how's the public transport in Orlando?
Vern Gagne Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 So is Mrs. Tajiri incapable of passing the test.
RavishingRickRudo Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 An Female Asian driver. Draw your own conclusions.
Placebo Effect Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Good riddance. I love Tajiri and all, but when he's working his lazy WWE matches, there's no point to cheering him on about staying.
razazteca Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 raza: how's the public transport in Orlando? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm sure the Mrs.'s could use the public bus to visit the many amusement theme parks of the area. Or hire this man: Jason Stratham -- The Transporter
2GOLD Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 This just sounds like an excuse by him to get the fuck away from the company. He can still make his money in Japan or hang out as part of TNA and unleash his death kicks.
CanadianGuitarist Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 An Female Asian driver. Draw your own conclusions. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No offence, but would it be considered poetic justice if said Female Asian Driver condemned your grammar? Maybe that's 'what's good for the goose is good for the gander?' add one sexy move the moveset The handspring off the ropes, although that's a little hard to pull off in the bgger WWE ring. The tarantula kicks ass, ECW played that one up a lot....WWE misuse a brilliant talent? Well, I never....
RavishingRickRudo Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I was about to write "An Asian Driver", but figured I'd be sexist AND racist and just forgot to drop the n.
Lil' Bitch Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I miss Regal and Tajiri as a tag team.
Guest clockworkraven Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I was about to write "An Asian Driver", but figured I'd be sexist AND racist and just forgot to drop the n. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Reasonable mistake. Do it all the time.
Scroby Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Tajiri was screwed as soon as he was traded to Raw. Move him back to Smackdown so he can have fun matches with Super crazy. I'd love to see them go balls out just one more time.
King Cucaracha Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I'm not sure how much of a problem the road schedule would be, but I want me some Tajiri and Yang in ROH.
The Czech Republic Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 I had the best idea for Tajiri a few years ago, where he'd be like Positively Kanyon and just sneak around backstage kickin' guys in the back of the head. Like during a WALKING! spot before break, Tajiri just jumps out from somewhere and kicks Shawn Michaels in the head. And he just goes around being the Japanese Assassin for a while

Downhome Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 Tajiri recently signed a new 2-3 year deal over the past few weeks, so that's that. Credit: PWInsider
Enigma Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 Yep, it's on PWI Elite that Tajiri recently signed a new contract.
Vern Gagne Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Guess Mrs. Tajiri got a drivers license.
DrVenkman PhD Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Perhaps since he changed his mind about retiring to Japan to become a reporter, WWE can give him a reporter gimmick.
