Guest tony manero Report post Posted October 29, 2005 Can't wait to see what Charles Barkley will say about the NBA dress code. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ummm...He already said he was 100% in favor of it.

The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2005 Why is TNT's coverage like five times better than ESPN's? I love Thursday night basketball on TNT. And I'm not even that much of an NBA fan.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2005 If you guys insist on talking about the dress code shit, can you please do it in the offseason thread where there's already a discussion about it, so the people who don't want to read about it (i.e. me) don't have to. Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2005 I second Dogg on that one. It's an offseason issue. I'm interested to see how Chris Paul does against the Kings on opening night. Denver vs SA and Dallas vs Phoenix looks like it could kick a lot of ass opening night as well, plus they're TNT games. Thank God the NBA is back.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2005 I wonder who will be the Spurs center this year.....Rasho has good defense but no offense, Nazr has some offense but is in the coach's doghouse, and Oberto could be like every other european center who wants to shoot 3 pointers all day.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2005 Why is Nazr in the doghouse? I thought he did solid at center last year and should definately start over Rasho.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2005 Above all, I look forward to Bill Walton, of course.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2005 Why is Nazr in the doghouse? I thought he did solid at center last year and should definately start over Rasho. I thought he was starting in the preseason, last I saw. Perhaps I misread.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2005 I have a feeling that Philly/Detroit is going to be embarrasing. With Dalembert out, it is going to be Steven Hunter and Chris Webber vs. the Wallaces. Prince will eliminate Korver like he did in the playoffs. Iverson is going to need a 40-50 point night to even keep it competitive.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 31, 2005 Happy to see that both Laker games will be televised nationally. I'm looking very much forward to seeing the new-look Lakers. Another year of Kobe-Odom, with Kwame Brown and Chris Mihm developing, should be interesting with Zenmaster Jackson back. This should be an enlightening and enriching experience. Cartman 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2005 Just be happy you get a cookie win wednesday night. Chris Mihm developing? If by "Developing" you mean continuing to be a mediocre player then i'm right with ya.
jwpeer 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2005 I want utah to be in a nationally televised game. Andrei Kirilenko is the most exciting defensive player in the nba, and no one gets to watch him play. It makes me sad. Sucks living in a non-nba town like Pittsburgh, I don't have any team to root for so I just have to find players to like and root for their teams. Cleveland just wouldn't be right, and D.C. really isn't that close. there's no team in Cincinatti ( a city I like). Philly is ok I suppose, but it's kinda blah. so I'm gonna root for Utah all year I'll never see them play, but at least I'll have something to go with! mike546 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2005 Knicks are totally in need of an extra two weeks of practice, as Marbury and Crawford honestly looked lost under Larry Brown in the pre season. The only guaranteed starting spot goes to Marbury and curry, with PF, SG and SF still not decided. Jerome James might end up being the worst FA signing of the year, he looks pathetic. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2005 Can Q-Rich play SF? If so, I would think they'd go Crawford, Q-Rich and Davis.

mike546 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Can Q-Rich play SF? If so, I would think they'd go Crawford, Q-Rich and Davis. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He has a hamstring problem, so I'm not evn sure if he'll be ready for opening night.

Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Crawford has had a great preseason. Marbury was just cruising, you know what he'll bring to the table. In the open practice, Q-Rich practiced and it seems like he'll be ready for opening night. I'm still not sure whether he's starting at the 3, since Brown likes him at the 2 as well. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Nate Robinson was probably the steal of the draft. No joke. Knicks better utlitize him well.
mike546 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 I think all the rookies are going to play a lot. Brown loves Lee, and Frye and Robinson have had really good preseasons, and have played a ton.

Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Sacto/Houston doesn't get national. That means I'm stuck listening to Clyde Drexler try to do color commentary. Ugh. My ears are hurting just thinking about it.
LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 although both teams are still developing, I really wanted to see Boston vs. Knicks tomorrow. I am a huge Celts fan and the Knicks should have an interesting team. Possibly the best rookie combo from this year with Frye-Robinson-Lee, along with seeing how the new look Knicks will do, should be a fun game. I have the League Pass and the only two on are the Kings-Hornets and the Bucks-76ers. Depending on what time the TNT games start (namely Phoenix (my West Coast transplant team)), I think I may watch some of the Sixers-Bucks, who I think will have a nice season this year, despite the fact that I think they gave Terry Porter the shaft. Well, just noticed Knicks-Celts isn't til Wed... here's to hoping it's on TV.

Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Good to see that I'm not the only one on drugs as the L.A. Times has also picked the Clippers to win the Pacific. If they can avoid injuries to their starting 5 they will be this years' surprise team.
