Recommended Posts

Guest Amy Ace

Please sign the petition to have Colin Cowherd of ESPN Radio fired. http://www.petitiononline.com/firecc/petition.html

Here is the story as it appears at www.wrestlingexposed.com.

ESPN Radio Host Makes Tasteless Comments About Guerrero Death

Written by Daniel Pena on November 14, 2005 at 14:32:41

Anthony P. Landrosh sent in the following letter to me. He said that he was listening to ESPN radio earlier today, "The Herd With Colin Cowherd", and Colin Cowherd said some rude comments about Eddie Guerrero's passing. He accused Eddie and other wrestlers of steroid use. Cowherd said, "who cares that he died" and that Guerrero's death was not "newsworthy." He also started speculation on the "unknown causes" of his death.

I encourage you all to email ESPN Radio or this show with your complaints. The email address is [email protected].

Again please sign the online petition- http://www.petitiononline.com/firecc/petition.html

Online petitions are worthless. Sorry, they just are. You can't take them serious for more than 10 people cause after that you have people quoting stupid things and looking like asses.

Exactly.

Just read some of the last responses... lolz.

1,000,000 people could sign this and it wouldn't make a lick of difference. There are more people that are apathetic about wrestling & what he said than there are people that care.

Expect nothing more than an apology ... and I wouldn't even expect that much.

You're not even going to get that.

I can understand why people are upset... but, it's not like ESPN has made it hidden that they think wrestling and Vince McMahon is a complete joke to them.

I think online petitions are worthless also. I called the ESPN mailbox that they setup for complaints about the Eddie situation.

ESPN has added a seperate mailbox for Eddie Guerrero comments. The direct number to hear this is: 1-860-766-2236.

Actually, the very idea of an online petition is so idiotic that my humor was done to mock its very existence. Making said humor both cheeky and witty. Some people just do not get it. Get it!

Calling gets a lot more done than an online petition. ESPN had to set up a special Eddie G mailbox for all the calls they were getting. Disrupting their normal business day will make a difference.

Funniest moment was during the ALCS hearing a guy on Sportscenter say, "The Phenomenal AJ Pierzynski".

I chuckled.

This does not surprise me.....after all the WWF isn't and was never a media darling to begin with.

Why does everyone want this guy fired now? Are you bound, chained and forced to listen to his show?

Perhaps not paying attention to him and focusing on more worthwhile causes that are out there would be a more productive avenue.

Oh come the hell on, people. Why the hell are you putting this douche over? This is the reason why I remember moronic names like Phil Mushnick and L. Brent Bozell. If people wouldn't jump on their balls like this and swing so damned mightily we wouldn't even know this asshole's name.

On ESPN Radio, I believe they get free reign.

And YES...this is a JOKE to them, even though it affects the wrestling community. The wrestling community is now, and will be forever a joke to them.

This probably couldn't have happened to a better wrestler, or nicer guy. I've been watching for 19 years. Even Raw is OWEN didn't get to me, as much as that johnny cash tribute did. He will be missed.

But this petition does nothing. Wait and see.

Cowheard went off today on Fantasy Football geeks, apparantly he had read an article on how widespread among the mass population Fantasy Football is and the amount of affluent WASPS play Fantasy Football he ended up "aplogizing" for his usual anti-Fantasy Football rants

So if wrestling ever pulled first run CSI like ratings on a weekly basis and Wrestlemania had as many buys as the Super Bowl had raitings shares then guys like Cowherd would take wrestling seriously

Actually, the Bonzells and Mushnicks of the world should be paid attention to more, as they are the only mainstreamers talking wrestling. Even at a constant negative position, it is something that SHOULD be picked up on

Steve
