naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 That is either the greatest comeback or greatest tank job I've ever seen. I can't tell just yet. Kudos to Vince Young for carrying his team to greatness, and I want to see FireCarroll.com in the morning.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Lienart took WAY too much time on that last play....sad.

therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Heh, I lost to teke, but I'm happy to see SC go down... Dama: "SOONERS!!!! SOONERS!! SOONERS!!! No wait....LONGHORNS!!! LONGHORNS!!! LONGHORNS!!!"
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 I don't care who won. What a fucking game. My heart has never raced like this. I have wood for Vince Young. I just fucking hope he doesn't come back next season. OU doesn't need that headache. So what about Young? Where does this go down as national title game performanes? And Reggie Bush becomes a non-factor. And hey I think me turning on Texas in the end turned the football gods on USC.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Fuck, fuck fuck fuck That's a year of dealing with burnt orange, "hook 'em" and misuse of the metal horns. and Mack Brown winning a title Fuck
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 What the HELL was Matt doing?!?! Christ, if Pete hadn't wasted that timeout then Bush could have cut upfield and had a chance. Instead fucking Brown won a title. SHIT! I like Young but Mack Brown can burn in hell.
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Fuck USC-Notre Dame. This is the best game I've ever seen.
Just John 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Hm, that botched call seems pretty big now. Although, to be fair, USC did have two critical turnovers in Texas territory.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Does Vince go #1 over Bush now?
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 USC was the better team but Vince Young is a god. And I don't want to hear DOIN' IT FOR THE CONFERENCE ever again to a certain a poster who completely bailed on Texas when the going to tough tonight. Pussies indeed. Word. A certain individual made this quite the hilarious thread
SilverPhoenix 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 That was the dumbest 5 minutes of football ever! At least Georgia doesn't have to be alone when it comes to stupid football.
teke184 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Does Vince go #1 over Bush now? Depends on the trade situation... I'd sure consider taking Vince at #2 over Leinart if I were the Saints GM.
The Robfather 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Shut up Matt. You weren't the better team tonight.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 LOL at Leinart automatically calling it a "great win." Guess he doesn't know much different.
mike546 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 That has to go down as one of the worst decsions in college football history. Why in the fucking world would he call time out? No reasonable explanation can be created.
Guest Smues Report post Posted January 5, 2006 This sure makes ESPN look retarded for running that 99 part series on how great USC was. Way to go world wide leader. Hopefully Bill Plasche kills himself over this. Hey, a guy can dream.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Vince Young needs to go pro now, he has nothing else to prove at the college level. It baffles my mind why anyone would take Lienart over Young, espically now.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 What a smug son of a bitch Matt Leinart.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 I honestly didn't think it was possible for Young to top last year's Rose Bowl performance, but he sure did. That may be the greatest individual performance in college football history.
The Robfather 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Fuck Matt, full of sour grapes if you ask me.
Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 I'm not sure I've seen a better individual performance by a player...in any sport.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 1) Throwing it at all when up 5. 2) Running on 4th and 2 at midfield when a punt pins them inside the 10, or at worst the 20. 3) Sending a blitz and using prevent D on 4th and 5 allowing Vince to walk into the end zone from the 9. 4) Calling your last fucking timeout to stop a 2-point conversion that had no bearing on the fact you needed a FG either way. 5) Leinart wasting the last 8 seconds instead of just throwing the ball into the dirt. I can't think of what the dumbest move was there, and that doesn't even touch on Bush's idiocy in the first half. Props to Texas, but it was like USC didn't want to win this game and did everything they could to ensure that happened.
St. Gabe 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 That timeout was, I believe, the biggest mistake Carroll has made in over 3 years. Too bad it had to happen tonight! What a game, though..back and forth scoring from 2 evenly matched teams. Texas was better tonight, mainly due to one costly coaching error. Huzzah to both teams
SilverPhoenix 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 USC was the better team but Vince Young is a god. And I don't want to hear DOIN' IT FOR THE CONFERENCE ever again to a certain a poster who completely bailed on Texas when the going to tough tonight. Pussies indeed. Thank you. Dama don't ever change. You make football fun. Escpecially meaningless football. And Leinhart is a little bitch. So is Mack Brown.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 If it isn't the greatest performance in college football history then it's damn close. Vince Young appears to be a god.
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Not only the performance, but under the pressure of this game. I'm still in shock. What a great football game. Just spectacular.
Guest bigm350 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Does Vince go #1 over Bush now? Depends on the trade situation... I'd sure consider taking Vince at #2 over Leinart if I were the Saints GM. I think it depends on the Saints needs. Aaron Brooks sucks at QB. Then again, the running game isn't great, its not bad with a healthy Deuce McAllister. I would take Young over Bush. I don't think I've seen any one player in football impose his will on a game like Vince Young. You see dominating individual performances in sports like baseball and basketball, but you don't see it in football, which is the ultimate team sport. Young is special, and he looks like the QB that Michael Vick isn't. A guy that can revolutionize and change the game.
