2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 This just in hurry up offense > prevent defense. And now Carolina looking to make it pure fact. Christ, I feel bad for Dallas fans. Nothing is easy for them this year, nothing at all.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 Dallas wins In the final minute. On a Bledsoe touchdown pass. Again. If Tampa loses, the final week in the NFC is gonna be wild as fucking hell.
mike546 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 Oh well, Giants lose. Now we have to play Oakland, against a QB obviously who wants revenge for us dropping him, while the Skins get the Eagles. FUCK.

Guest Smues Report post Posted December 24, 2005 And the Redskins officially win 35-20. Huzzah. A Redskins win and Giants loss next week would give the division title to the Redskins, but I don't see the Giants losing to Oakland. So go Redskins for a wildcard spot!
strummer 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 if the Redskins hadn't lost those 2 horrible games to Tampa and Oakland back to back, they win the division easy
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 If the Giants lose and the Redskins/Cowboys/Vikings all win next week, I know the Redskins get the division but who gets the playoff spot between the Boys and Giants? Minnesota and Dallas would be 8-4 in confernece while the Giants would be 8-5...I'm confused as to who gets the spot.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 Giants would still be 8-4.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 Giants would still be 8-4. Knew something was wrong with that website. Ok, so the Giants will be in with a Tampa loss. Got it all now.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 The Bucs and Falcons are about to pull a kissing of their sister unless the Falcons can march into field goal range. Really pathetic that games can still end in tie in the NFL. Tampa gets the ball back and eliminates the Falcons. Say bye bye to Mr Pro Bowl Michael Vick everyone. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 YES!!! Michael Vick misses the playoffs! That always makes my day when Mikey loses.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 Interesting enough, the Panthers can realistically be eliminated from the playoffs next week by the Falcons now since the Cowboys would hold the head to head. So if the Cowboys and Bucs win and the Panthers lose, then the SI Super Bowl pick would fall out of the playoffs if I have all this math right. Am I right in this?
strummer 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 odd as both teams that made the NFC championship game don't even make the playoffs the next season
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 (edited) I think I have it mostly figured out now Panthers get in with a win or a Cowboys or Redskins loss Redskins get in with a win Cowboys get in with a win AND Panthers or Redskin loss I haven't figured out the Vikings yet cause they haven't even won this week. Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 I just want to say that the call against Carolina on that FG play was BULLSHIT. The ball CLEARLY hit Peppers' side. Fucking retard refs. Cowboys won by LUCK.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 With Carolina and the Giants losing, I do believe Chicago gets the #2 with a win. You believe correct. With a win, Da Bears will be the two seed in the playoffs.

Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 Hmm. The Saints are probably going to get the 1st pick, if Houston defeats SF next week, leaving the Jets with the 2nd pick, and Bush, if New Orleans takes Leinart.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2005 Two teams today had really, really crushing losses. The first would be the Panthers of course, who I think may have seriously wrecked their chances of making the playoffs. Next week Dallas gets the Rams at home (which they should win) and the Skins are on a roll and should take out the Eagles. Carolina has a tough one against Atlanta on the road and they'll want to salvage something of this season by knocking Carolina out of contention. The 2nd would be the Bengals, who on the surface had a silly meltdown against the Bills today but in the grand scheme this may really hurt them badly. Before this they were alive for the #2 seed and a first round bye...but now? They'll likely lose at KC next week, while the Pats finish 11-5 as well, and the Pats get that #3 seed. Then the Bengals probably get the Colts in the 2nd round. That's IF they get past the Jags the 1st round, who they already lost to.
mike546 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2005 (edited) The Giants are in deep trouble, as the injuries to the Pierce, Emmons, and now Blackburn are starting to kill the D. We had a freaking practice squad player, Alonzo Jackson, as our starting MLB in the 4th quarter. Also, the disapearance of Plaxico Burress is killing this tedam. After dropping an easy TD catch on the first play of the game, he was basically non-existent the rest of the way. He hasn't caught a TD pass in a while, and Amani Toomer has been out playing hm for the last month and a half. Eli was fine today, it was just Will Allen and the secondary fucking everything up. To me it seemed like the Giants got away from what wins them games, and that is Tiki Barber. He had what, 12 touches? It was as if Coughlin wanted to use THIS GAME....on THE ROAD of all places, to prove Eli was ready to take the team on his shoulders and win a big game. Sass 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2005 Statistically, this year's Bears defense has been better than the '85 one. That means this defense has so far been the best NFL defense since the 32 regular game season history was set. While they were my Superbowl picks, San Diego and Dallas are two teams who should have made it back into the post-season. In the end they just couldn't finish their games at the end when it mattered. San Diego should have never lost to Miami. I was also hoping the Raiders would pull off the upset against the Broncos today as well. Screw that idea...
