bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 EEDDDGGGAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! too bad Kim couldn't bite the dust instead of Edgar. two scenes and she's already annoying me with her me-me-me attitude. Ugh. somebody sic a cougar on her, stat!
Guest Fook Report post Posted March 7, 2006 Why couldn't they get Chase back? This new toolbox that's with Kim now is already annoying me.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 I have to say though I was amused at the differences in the various characters' reaction to "random females dying outside the door" then suddenly "Edgar dying outside the door".
Guest OSIcon Report post Posted March 7, 2006 Great episodes. I like the reasoning they gave behind Chase being gone. It really wasn't random at all. It worked at first because it made you feel bad for Kim who had to deal with Jack dying and Chase leaving her at the same time. Kim throwing in the line about how "people like Jack" can't get attached to anybody and using the fact that Chase leaf her to back up her claim, was great. Sad to see Edgar go. 24 really knows how to do up deaths of major characters. Next week's looks equally great. I thought this season started off strong through the two-night debut, then floundered for a while. The last four episodes have all been very good though. Hopefully it keeps up. It also follows up on what Jack was telling Chase throughout season 3 about how their job and what they have to see and do prevents them from having interpersonal relationships. BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 I wonder why the terrorists bothered to go through the whole scheme of dealing and doctoring the access card to CTU. Didn't they know the easiest way for a terrorist to get into CTU is just to apply for a job there?
Ripper 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 The writers are doing something great this season. Crazy First Lady wasn't actually a goofy time-filling plotline. Junkie sister steals the wallet wasn't a goofy time-filling plotline. We haven't had anything close to cougar attack or amnesia or even "Nina launches a computer virus LOL" this season. I'm really, really pleased. Hey now. Nina luanching the computer virus was not filler. Goddamn what a episode(s). Silent countdown made me pretty much forget everything that happened before. That dude with Kim. Is it just me or does he look like C. Thomas Howell.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 The whole doctor-patient thing about the boyfriend bothers me. I wouldn't be shocked if he's a plant by Henderson, but then again, either way, he's a scumbag. Eerie episode.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 I was just about to say--it totally is C. Thomas Howell. First Robocop, and then Ponyboy. Awesome casting.
slimm44 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 He's not trading downloaded music, Chloe! Excellent two hours
Mik 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 Good stuff. Kim's new boyfriend has a Jack Bauer beatdown in his future, I just know it. I figured Edgar would go after he went looking for Carrie, but I was a bit surprised that he got the silent countdown! And Tony and Henderson are so gonna duke it out in the clinic. Guest Ray Report post Posted March 7, 2006 There have been a lot of moments this season where I thought I might stop watching, then and episode like that happens. Damn, what a ride that was. Sad to see Edgar go, but I like that they have the balls to off long-running characters.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 Jack should have said "THE GAS IS OUT! I REPEAT..THE GAS IS OUT!" like he did when the Virus was released.. That would have made it (last hour) one of the best episodes ever. I think the precedent was set back in the first years finale (Teri Bauer) for them not giving a shit about who they kill off aside from Jack, but this year has seen a lot (Palmer/Michelle/Edgar/Carrie)..and you know they have to have at least 1 more up their sleeves.. The only thing is that people at CTU apparently die faster than the people at the mall. Im guessing while Jack and Co. are holed up at CTU, Curtis will get to do some stuff... packwingfn 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 I wasn't sure if the clinic was protected so I kept on thinking to myself that they were gonna forget Tony. Then I remembered Edgar and I cried just as well For some reason, this death hit me the most since George Mason because yet Palmer and Michelle dying were shocking, everything happened so fast all at once. I didn't expect them to raid CTU with the Gas cannisters.....and its the WAY he died which was so sad
Mik 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 IMDb has a break listed next week and the next episode as 3/20? Any truth to that? Guess that's why we got two hours last night.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 I was under the impression that this is the NON STOP SEASON OF 24 COMING TO YOU LIVE ON FOX WITH NO BREAK LIKE THAT SHITTY SHOW LOST ON THE CRAPPY ABC NETWORK.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 Yeah. From the Fox Website: A COMPROMISED CTU FORCES CHANGE ON AN ALL-NEW "24" MONDAY, MARCH 13, ON FOX
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2006 A Mall is a much more open space than CTU, which is very closed off and condensed. So everyone dying quicker makes some sense since there would be a higher concentration of gas in the area. I couldn't believe they killed off Edgar, even when it was obvious, I was like "no, they just can't". I am still not 100% convinced the dude is dead.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 Edgar and Chloe exchanging looks right before Edgar buys it was fucking sad. Silent countdown just reinforces everything as well. Jack absolutely has to physically harm C. Thomas Howell's character for the simple fact that he cannot carry a goatee.
Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 And Edgar was really hitting his stride as a great supporting character. Well, Chloe is too I think. I do hope this leads to some Curtis badassery...I mean, Curtis may just be about as badass as Jack Bauer, but he's living in Jack's shadow.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 Jack absolutely has to physically harm C. Thomas Howell's character for the simple fact that he cannot carry a goatee. What if Howell runs out of the room screaming "WOLVERINES!!!"? Would it make it all better?
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 Even that shouldn't get C Thomas Howell out of a Jack Bauer beating. Howell was the lead in Soul Man and nothing can forgive that.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2006 Even that shouldn't get C Thomas Howell out of a Jack Bauer beating. Howell was the lead in Soul Man and nothing can forgive that. Which is still more interesting than "Black/White". This show just seems to find people from old movies or tv series that you go, "hey! I know you!" How long before the two Coreys show up as terrorist leaders or FBI agents? Loved the episode, HATED that Edgar had to die and Kim gets to live. Kim's purpose ran out last season. But I really get the feeling they needed someone who would have emotional impact on the fans while the only impact Kim's death offers now is cheering. the max 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2006 Kim's death offers the "Jack gets even fucking crazier" card to be played. He's already shot an innocent woman in the knee and threatened to gouge out a guy's eyeballs while he was still alive. Kim dying might push him over the edge... ... ...that sounds like good tv. Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2006 If Kim dies the show's over. Jack would go kill everyone he could and take special care to get himself killed in the process.
