Edwin MacPhisto Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 To take this thread on a tangent that thankfully doesn't involve Axl Rose, what would you say was, in fact, the most anticipated release? The Beach Boys/Brian Wilson's Smile has got to get some recognition, as people had been attempting to piece a version of that together for almost forty years until he released it last year. In more recent history, I think people are right to say that the Use Your Illusion discs were more anticipated even within the GnR universe. I'd also suggest Nirvana's In Utero and, on a shorter timeframe (as things always are with rap), Doggystyle. Both followed absolutely huge albums, and Nirvana and Snoop had to be the biggest artists in their respective genres at the time.
Annabelle Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 this one is up there just for the sake of hearing what it will entail. there's been so much talk about it. i just want it out. ill listen to it forsure. just for the sake of it.
NoCalMike Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Seriously no one cares anymore. There is no anticipation.
Annabelle Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Seriously no one cares anymore. There is no anticipation. hey skid, since when am i "no one"?
BUTT Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Axl has some fucking sweet dreads. He shouldn't put them in a ponytail, because then people won't know how nice they are. Seriously, if i had the necessary amount of, shall we say, chutzpah, I might sport a similar hairstyle myself.
Use Your Illusion Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Thriller or Bad by MJ. That's some pretty heavy anticipation.
Guest The Showcase Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Running With Scissors. Highly anticipated throughout the masses.
Black Lushus Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Guns n Roses was never that good. Agreed. You know there are strange parrels between Creed and guns and roses. Hmm. Elaborate. Guns and Roses: One of the most popular bands of the 90s Known for lead singer's distictive voice Cocky lead singer that had a lot to do with break up of band. Tours, later on, seemed to never end well. Axl not showing uo even ended with a lawsuit, if I remember right. Remaining members started another band (Velvet Revolver) Lead singer fell off the face of the Earth Creed: One of the most popular bands of the 00s Known for lead singer's distictive voice Cocky lead singer that had a lot to do with break up of band. Stapp got sued for passing put and not finishing a concert. Remaining members started another band (Alterbridge) Lead singer fell off the face of the Earth Stapp didn't really fall of the face of the Earth, he's still making music, people just stopped caring about him. oh and I'm anticipating this album and would be shocked if it didn't debut at #1 upon release.
Youth N Asia Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 I always liked GNR, but they're definatly overrated. And it doesn't help matters that the last piece of material they put out is a complete throwaway.
The Czech Republic Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Dont. You'll only seem more idiotic. Snuffbox, come make fun of Axl Rose with the cool guys.
snuffbox Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 The only cool thing I do is piss myself.

I have heard his no single on the radio, maybe 3 times, other than the 311 story he has pretty much fell off the face of the Earth. Creed>Guns n' Roses
