Bruiser Chong Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Seemed to be a possible rumor a couple hours ago, but more news outlets are reporting it. I've heard it's possibly he'd been dead for several days. Here's one of the stories... Chris Penn, actor and younger brother of Sean Penn, has died, Access Hollywood has learned. He was 43. Penn starred in the 1992 film "Reservoir Dogs." His other film credits include "Best of the Best," "True Romance," "Mulholland Falls" and "Starsky & Hutch." Most recently, he worked in "The Darwin Awards" with Winona Ryder, David Arquette and Wilmer Valderrama, as well as appearnces last year on "Law & Order: CI", "Entourage" and "Everwood".
The Mandarin Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Nice Guy Eddie, is just going to decide, out of tha fuckin' BLOOO, to be found dead? Why don't you tell me what REALLY happened?
Lord of The Curry Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Well played, Funk. Well played,
The Mandarin Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 (edited) I always know the right things to say when somebody dies. My response to Budd Dwyer's death was sampled in Batman's ualuealue song. Edited January 25, 2006 by CM Funk
Ravenbomb Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 damn you, now I have to go watch Reservoir Dogs again
Gert T Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Clive's fat ass ate one too many cookies......
snuffbox Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Did you see that? He tried to fuck me.
Vyce Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Dare I say it? I will. The wrong Penn brother died.
2GOLD Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Chris Penn taught me to dance and how to wear a country fried shirt but still look cool.
CBright7831 Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 What's strange is I was watching Reservoir Dogs last night. Hell, it's playing write now as I type this.
nl5xsk1 Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Dare I say it? I will. The wrong Penn brother died. I was going to make a crack along the lines of, "That's not the cast member of Corky Romano that I would have chosen." ... but your "wrong Penn" joke is sooo much better, my joke would have been out of place. Vyce wins the thread.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 I actually think it just comes across as bitter, since I've seen that joke made in other threads by people with similar political beliefs, but whatever. I haven't seen this guy in a movie in awhile, so it didn't really shock me or anything.
nl5xsk1 Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 My dislike of Sean Penn isn't really political. I'm pretty apathetic what celebrities think of politics. My dislike of Sean Penn is based around his considering himself 'above' people talking about the Jeff Spicoli character. The guy was in a stoner movie 2 decades ago, long before he was really famous ... and now that he's famous for more serious roles he refuses to speak about it. Allowing people to speak about now that he is famous won't detract from his body of work. It makes him come across as a pompous prick. Sorry to threadjack the Chris Penn thread for this post ... carry on.
snuffbox Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Didnt vyce mark out for Petter Jennings' death because he thought he was Dan Rather or something?

It's just that Chris in the "Nice Guy Eddie" role alone was more entertaining than anything Sean has done in the last 10 years. YES, I'm including Mystic River. Tim Robbins was the workhouse in that one.
snuffbox Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Nice Guy Eddie was more entertaining than almost anything the last ten years.
