The Smackdown spoilers also point to this happening -- Rey Mysterio winning, that is.

The Rumble winner hasn't been decided yet - HHH and Mysterio have both been built up to win with their promos this week.

 

The Smackdown magazine with Batista on the cover wearing a "Smackdown" T-shirt was taken before he was drafted, so yes, WWE is that stupid.

 

That's because the plan to switch brand champions was in place a full year before it actually happened. Everyone and their mother knew what was going down after Cena had been drafted.

I'm calling BS on this until you provide a link of some kind. I just find it hard to believe, considering that at the Smackdown taping Rey jobbed cleanly to Mark Henry. Would they do that to a guy who's gonna win the rumble 2 days later? (from the SD air date).

 

Also, as stupid as the WWE may be, I don't think they've ever been dumb enough to spoil a Royal Rumble by putting the winner on the cover of their magazine before it happens.

I'd like to believe it, since Rey Mysterio is certainly a favourable option to HHH or Orton, but I'm not prepared to take this "news" as gospel just yet.

 

You should probably edit the word "Smackdown" out of the title, since it's still a kind of spoiler as it is (suggests the winner will be from SD).

Mgazine covers have given away such spoilers before, such as when, I believe the Rock won the title in '02.

I was leaning towards Rey winning the Rumble after hearing about the press conference and spoilers from last night. Now I just hope the WWE doesn't change their mind because of this leaked information.

I hardly say a random internet poster making a statement without any source material is leaking.

 

However, this didn't stop them from changing the WM4 result which had a similar situation.

This is going to spread like wildfire though because people care about Mysterio. Marks, smarks, children, teens, alduts..everybody's a fan. Man, I'm getting excited just thinking about my younger brother's reaction.

 

If this is true I just hope the WWE doesn't try to get back at the WWE internet fans by not having Mysterio win because of the leak.

... and before you say anything, it was ruined as soon as i saw the title of the thread. So could you change that so that other people's rumbles aren't spoilt. I opened the thread to see if it was gonna be Orton, because if it was i would not buy the PPV.

The rumble's winner is still a question mark for me. Although I do think Mysterio's gonna win I am far from confident that the WWE will actually do it. It's anything but a safe bet so I wouldn't say your rumble's ruint. Look at it that way and maybe you can enjoy the Rumble a little more.

Tony, just tell us how you found this out. I mean if you "know" that Rey's on the Smackdown cover saying he won the Royal Rumble, you must have found this out somewhere right?

As much as I'd like to see Rey win (and no offense, Rey fans, but I probably wouldn't be at this point if there were better options), I still think it will be Orton. From a logical standpoint, if they still plan on pushing Orton as main event level heel, they just about have to have him feud with Angle over the belt. Every other feud for him is exhausted, except maybe Orton vs. Rey, and if we see Orton vs. Rey at Mania, that will lead us only with the horrible likelihood of Angle / Undertaker at Mania.

 

I doubt they'll have HHH win. What purpose would that serve? The Rumble is for elevating guys, and HHH is the last (or next to last, second only to Taker) guy on the roster that needs that. Also, it's fairly well established, i.e. beaten like the dead horse that it is, that HHH can challenge for the belt pretty much any damn time he wants, without having to win something like a Rumble match to do it.

Orton could win one of those Post Rumble things.

Wouldn't it be much smarter for Orton stayed in the midcard with his midcard chinlocks and midcard heat?

 

Please let Rey win this.

Randy Orton is on the February cover with the title saying 'My Time' which leads me to believe he is winning the Rumble
