Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 David Bowie - "Ashes to Ashes" http://www.youtube.com/w/David-Bowie---Ash...h=david%20bowie Some of the effects shots are dated—particularly the one of Bowie standing waist deep in the ocean—but overall, the visuals and compositions are outstanding.
Special K Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Pretty much anything Michel Gondrey has done Windowlicker. Tool's Sober and Prison Sex. NIN- Closer Thriller (duh) Smooth Criminal QotSA- Go With the Flow The White Zombie video from the Beavis and Butthead movie. PRetty much all of 'The Wall.'

The Metal Maniac Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 I used to have a link to this video, but it appears to be dead. "Meat Sandwich", by GWAR. As if members of GWAR marching around holding a map upside-down wasn't funny enough, there's Oderus Ungerus in a heated basketball game with Jesus. "Wanna hand? PSYKE!!!!!!"
Corey_Lazarus Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 The White Zombie video from the Beavis and Butthead movie. "I Am Hell" is the song. Definitely a classic video, although my personal Zombie fave (sine Rob directed all of the White Zombie videos along with all of his own) is for the cover of "I'm Your Boogieman" from the soundtrack to The Crow: City of Angels. Speaking of which: http://www.youtube.com/?v=_57gu963xZg The Misfits - "Scream" http://www.youtube.com/?v=MD-m1kyu3-s Wednesday 13 - "I Walked With A Zombie" http://www.youtube.com/?v=bsJzXbdT2WQ
Corey_Lazarus Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 And, of course, something HAS to be said about THIS little gem.
The Mandarin Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 Do the Evolution and Frontier Psychiatrist are fantastic. This might be my favourite though.

Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 26, 2006 Author Report Posted January 26, 2006 Most videos are mediocre/awful. This thread is failing to convince me otherwise.
A Happy Medium Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 "Last Dance" by Tom Petty and "Black Hole Sun" from Soundgarden
Guest wildpegasus Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 We're not gonna take it -- Twisted Sister Summer of 69 -- Brian Adams Praise You -- Fatboy Slim Madonna -- Ray of Light Eric Prydz -- Call on Me -- Thanks Rudo Dire Straits -- Money for Nothing A-Ha -- Take on Me Beastie Boys -- You've got to FIght for your right to party
Hank Kingsley Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 Uhh, "Weapon of Choice" by Fatboy Slim, obviously. Electric Six, "Danger! (High Voltage)"
Red Baron Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 Or Rockafella Skank by Fatboy Slim. Johnny Cash: Hurt Tears For Fears: Shout Duran Duran: Girls on Film Sum 41: Hell Song A Perfect Circle: Weak and Powerless Eminem: The Way I Am, Guilty Conscience, The Real Slim Shady, White America Beastie Boys: Sabotage.
Corey_Lazarus Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 I'm going to echo that Sum41's video for "Hell Song" is great. That's the one with the various action figures and then the Metallica figures holding "Napster Sucks" posters, right?
Red Baron Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Correct. I also think there was a Gene Simmons figure putting his arm around two bimbos, and an Alice Cooper toy as well.
2GOLD Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Do the Evolution and Frontier Psychiatrist are fantastic. This might be my favourite though. That Hasselhoff video will be number one in Europe for the next 100 million years and it should be number 1 here forever. Overdose of awesome.
Special K Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Frontier Psychiatry is a pretty swell video, but it's a ripoff of Michel Gondrey's "Around the World" video. If that's even the name of the song. The Daft Punk song. Avalanches are great either way.
Lord of The Curry Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Broken Social Scene- Almost Crimes Not a video but a video clip from the concert I went to last Saturday.
Darthtiki Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Wicked Game by Chris Isaak November Rain/Don't Cry/Estranged- GNR I think I'm Paranoid- Garbage Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 I don't get the Bowie video, at all. What about the visuals and compositions do you like? I'm not much of a film critic, so I can't really pick out any of the finer details of what appears to me as abstract, what with the different colour schemes and stuff involved. But I really like Radiohead's Just if only because of the clever concept behind the video.
Ed Wood Caulfield Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Quarashi-"Mr. Jinx" Michael Jackson-"Black And White"
PLAGIARISM! Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 David Bowie and Mick Jagger's 'Dancing In The Street' is tough to watch.
