Danville_Wrestling 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 Yea, I almost marked out for the Lethal-Jarrett match. So who gives Christian a fair shot at beating Jarrett at Against All Odds?

Guest Coffey Report post Posted January 29, 2006 There isn't really a reason to watch iMPACT! anymore. If you want to follow TNA, you really just need to watch every other PPV. The commentary is terrible and the matches don't really have any meaning. Hell, the "move of the night" is consistantly shown during the first match. Explain that logic? In the Rhyno/Abyss match that just went down, we don't get a DQ after chair shots or anything but after the "big spot" we get a ruling that the match is a "no contest." What the fuck? TNA don't a fucking clue what direction they're going in.

However, I can see the logic behind keeping both Rhino and Abyss strong so I was thinking it'd end up as a no contest from the beginning.

Like I've said before, if you're the normal fan who's just starting to watch TNA... and Impact is the only TNA you watch... you have to find it extremely boring. And more importantly, why would they want to pay for any PPV's. I just don't understand TNA's approach, whatsoever.

randomguy 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 I am that "new fan" that doesn't watch PPVs. Impact is pretty bad. The match between Joe and Bentley was pretty badly choreographed, some really contrived looking action. All the rest of it was just a "meh." This whole thing with Sting has just been boring so far. Matt Young 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 I am consistently very entertained by Impact. I really enjoy it, and on the rare occasions when I get to watch it on Saturday (like tonight) I will still watch the Monday replay.
AntiLeaf33 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 I'm not much of a TNA fan, but if Edge and Angle can retian tonight at the Rumble and Christian can beat Jarrett then I'm going to mark the fuck out!!! Team E.C.K. will rule the wrestling world!!!
RedJed 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 Other than the Sting promo, which I thought was very strong, believable, and generally just strong for an angle in TNA, the rest of the show was pretty much just there and didnt really offer anything too groundbreaking. I did like the Rhino-Abyss angle from the match, which will probably lead to a rematch at AAO. TNA needs to continue to try to incorporate angles into programs that make people talk and take notice. THe Rhino-Abyss thing is kind of an example of that.

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 30, 2006 It wasn't amazing or anything, but I thought the overall show was good. The tag jobber match was terrible, but Jarret's was good for a jobber match. The match was decent, but Samoa Joe must've been off his game, either that or Bentley drug him down a level. The Rhino/Abyss match was very good and built to a ppv rematch. I think the ref called the no contest too quickly, but the finish still made sense. The Sting thing was handled as well as something like that can be, so no problems there.
Bruce Blank 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2006 You saying that Joe couldn't even do his "Standard Impact Match" against Bently? He didn't paint by ALL the numbers he usually paints with? no reason to YouTube any of this

Fire Bentley and replace him with Jay Lethal!
Fro 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2006 That was a pretty good show... one of the best promos I've ever heard Sting cut. Came off really well. If you couldn't feel the emotion in that (and I'm not a Sting fan at all), you're not a wrestling fan. Of course, I read spoilers and have already had my piece with the booking decision I thought Bentley/Joe was fine... of course Bentley's selling looked goofy but it wasn't a formula Joe match at all which was fun. Abyss/Rhino was better than the PPV match. The video packages and angles really built up the PPV.

"out of nowhere", which I thought actually made it more effective.

It would be if Joey Styles was the announcer...given that both Taz and Samoa Joe use the same finisher the Kokina Clutch why not call it Joemission.
