Guest wootman Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Here is a build-up video promoting him as a reality star. Looks like he'll be a face. http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/sup.../2277364/mizvin The thing about him is, it's kinda hard to take him seriously as a threat to the other wrestlers, like Zach Gowen. He still comes off as a fan from the crowd who just decided to be a wrestler. He'd probably be better off in the cruiserweight, although, I'm guessing he's really limited.
daileyxplanet Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Expect a Velocity feud with Simon Dean...
Dangerous A Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 I think the crowd will turn on him because he has no toughness vibe to him at all and comes off as goofy. Not saying he can't make it, but I don't think he's good face material at all.
Zack Malibu Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 I thought he was coming up as a team with Chris Cage, or is that out the window now?
Guest Timmer Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Why do they insist on bring these guys uo before they are ready? He'll be cut by the company by the end of the year... at least MTV will take him back

haws bah gawd Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Someone want to tell me again why Daniel Puder was fired, but they kept this jackass?
Jericho2000Mark Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Money. Puder's contract was 250 grand/year, WWE offered him a significant paycut (I'm talking under 40 grand) and he refused, thinking he can make more money in MMA. Vince McMahon is pond scum who wouldn't even pay him for the first year of his contract like they pretty much promised(on TV at least).
haws bah gawd Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Wow that sucks. I got a laugh the time Puder slapped the Keylock on Kurt Angle on that episode of Smackdown, so I figured they had a ready-made feud for when they decided to call him up. Vince's loss.
CBright7831 Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/sup.../2277364/mizvin My reaction?
RepoMan Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 I've never seen anyone so proud to be from Parma, Ohio.
Jericho2000Mark Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/sup.../2277364/mizvin Tremendous!
Epic Reine Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 He'll definatley get over on his personality alone.
dubq Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/sup.../2277364/mizvin WWE wouldn't have the balls OR the brains to pull off a Patrick Bateman gimmick.
Cowboy Battlenuts Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 If that's an indication of how they'll handle the character it definitely has potential to get over. His Miz promo's will be seen as pure character shmoz making it easy comedy and it's hard not to get behind a guy who's generally likable if they're doing a totally reality based angle to build him.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/sup.../2277364/mizvin Is that a potential gimmick for Miz, or is that your personal reaction to it? If it's the latter, I wholeheartedly agree. Excellent picture choice by the way.
Guest The Mad Hatter Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 I've been watching the Miz on MTV for years and I do think he'll do good in the WWF. He has good personality and is funny, LOL.

Mole Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Why do they insist on bring these guys uo before they are ready? He is more ready than any of the other TE guys. He actually learned how to wrestle BEFORE TE. He'll be fine.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Please now raz, it's Gunkata. And yes, he'll do it right after he runs around WWII China and saves Katie Holmes from Tom Cruise.
razazteca Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Please now raz, it's Gunkata. And yes, he'll do it right after he runs around WWII China Gotham and saves Katie Holmes Stephanie from Tom Cruise the Higher Power. And when he's done he would stop at the local Blockbuster to return the tape rentals.
Scroby Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 That was one of the worst "coming soon" videoes I have ever seen. Oh and Piper called, he says he wants his reality check gimmick back.
randomguy Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 He will bomb. Nobody in their right mind can take this guy seriously. He is a D-rate reality "star" from MTV mostly known for getting drunk and being an arrogant ass even though he isn't athletic enough to climb a rope. (Complete with giant knots tied in it) Can anyone here see the Miz beating any real wrestler? Miz over Benoit! Book it! Purely as a dopey comedy act he might be all right. Anything more than that - no way.
razazteca Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 I'm sure the Miz could beat all 5 members of the Spirit Squad by himself or break the masterlock or beat Carlito with a rollup or squash Mark Henry in 3 minutes.
Si82 Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Oh and Piper called, he says he wants his reality check gimmick back. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. I hope the guy bombs. I can't stand the irritating little turd. They should have kept Puder on the payroll. It's not like they couldn't have afforded to pay him they just didn't want to. Fuckwits.
Scroby Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 You know to be honest, I kinda hope the guy does ok. Not like reaches superstardom but does ok. I don't think he could go back to MTV because as soon as he got picked up by WWE, first chance MTV got, MTV got people from the real world/road rules things and bashed the hell out of the Miz for deciding to do wrestling instead of the real world vs road rules shows.
Black Lushus Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 they could pair him up with Benoit (post US Title run), with Miz being the "I want to be as good as you, you're my idol" type protege' and then have Benoit beat the hell out of him everytime loses, fucks up, acts retarded/Miz-like, or whatever. The crowd will still love Benoit for beating on this clown and will eventually like Mizanin once he's no longer goofy and starts kicking ass. That role would have been better with Puder, I suppose, but too late for that.
