MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2006 But did you e-mail/IM her? I had sent her an email back on like Monday cause that was when she was going to IM me. I thought about sending an email tonight but at this point its stupid. Oh, and as far as this thread is concerned..anyone with the power to close it can do so anytime..I dont care anymore. Its not like I need any advice about anything since Im pretty much the master of being a miserable loser and its not going to change anytime soon, so the thread has lost its purpose. Guest Report post Posted June 16, 2006 Forget e-mails and instant messages. You have a phone. Use it, please. It's not that hard to solve your problem, there's just certain things that you need to stop doing and others that you need to start doing. It's not that difficult, I promise. EDIT: If you must do the email thing, move to the phone conversations after a few emails. If you keep emailing, it may send a message about the way you think about yourself to the person you're talking to.

Marvin, what does your health condition allow you to do? Maybe you should take up exercising to improve your self confidence some. I know it helped me out some. Just recently I tried walking up and down the road out where I live which is about 2 miles but finding time to do so is troubling, and walking is really the only good exercise that I can do. Im slightly overweight and its not helping my heart out any but I like to think that I eat well enough not to really worry too much about it. I cant lift weights because my chestbone had to be cracked twice and it has never healed properly. The max. Im supposed to lift the last time I was told was about 25 lbs and Im usually doing maybe 40 lbs or so at work and it hurts sometimes. Plus, with any strenuous cadio activity theres always the lingering possibility that I could cause the repaired valve which is now almost 20 years old to start leaking again which isn't good. I was supposed to be in line soon to have another open heart operation but Im putting it off as long as I can for various reasons, numero uno being I cant afford it. Im also betting you've figured out my next problem..and honestly I dont know since Ive never asked. I suppose its a good question to be asking the next time I visit my doctor. Im willing to bet the answer is no as long as I put off the 3rd open heart surgery.

Why are you putting off the 3rd open heart surgery? What are the benifits and detractions from getting it done? Im sure you've seen the Viagra commercials..the "dont use if you aren't healthy enough for sexual activity part" is what Im getting at. With my leaky 20 year old patched up valve in my heart, I would assume my heart is in a condition similar to an old man. Benefits to another surgery would be obvious..no worrying about a leaky valve thats 20 years old and probably not going to hold up much longer. FYI, the replacement valve currently that I have was put there when I was 6 which was 1988. They had to replace the original replacement valve that I had put in when I was 6 months old because I outgrew it. Supposedly I shouldnt have to worry about outgrowing the 2nd replacement valve, but the fact is its almost 20 years old and they aren't made (or at least they weren't 20 years ago) to last that long. Ideally I should have had the surgery when I was still under my parents insurance, but I didnt. Negatives..an open heart surgery costs about, on average..$200,000+. Even with my crappy insurance..I cant afford it. So basically Im treating my heart the same way Im treating my shitty car..ride the thing all the way to the end when it gives up and hope for the best. I am actually looking at getting a new car. I just checked my credit score last week and I have fair credit which should get me a good deal.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2006 Oh..and I've got another good one for you before I go to bed..I had a ton of blood transfusions done prior to 1985 in association with my first open heart surgery when I was 6 months old in 1982. 1985 is when they started testing donor blood for transfusions for HIV..so uh..its entirely possible I have that to be worried about too, and I haven't been tested for that in a while. But I do know I can't donate blood..I Tried back in 2001 for the whole 9/11 Red Cross thing and they wouldnt let me because of it. I really need to go to bed.. Anyway, we're approaching rawmvp levels now. "I might have AIDS"? If you contracted HIV in 1982, it would've kicked your weak passive deferential surrendering ass by like 1987, at best.
