Watching the "backwards" episode of Seinfeld in non-reverse sequence on the Season 9 DVD was kind of neat.

Been ages since I've seen that episode. How does it hold up watching it in non-reverse order, as opposed to the way it was originally edited?

It's good, just a bit distracting as that episode used a lot of quick cuts with music cues to indicate backwards time travel and show incidents. When played forward it's a bit weird to see such sudden jump cuts like that.

On another topic, Cogeco here just got MPIX OnDemand (Moviepix, The Movie Network's sister station that airs lots of different movies as opposed to just 2005-2007) free with TMN subscriptions and boy they could not have picked a better time to finally add it (Roger's Cable has had it at least a year). They just added a boatload of Bond films and specials - everything before GoldenEye - as hype for some "Ultimate Bond Event" they're doing leading up to the TMN debut of Casino Royale. Good times.

This is going to be awesome:

Seth Rogen set to 'Make a Porno'

'Knocked Up' star cast in Kevin Smith film

By TATIANA SIEGEL, TATIANA SIEGEL, MICHAEL FLEMING

Seth Rogen has inked to play the titular Zack in writer-director Kevin Smith's "Zack & Miri Make a Porno" for the Weinstein Co. and Dimension Films. Elizabeth Banks will star opposite Rogen as Miri.

Film reunites the pair, who appeared together in "The 40-Year-Old Virgin."

Story revolves around two lifelong platonic friends who are deep in debt and enlist the help of their friends to make a porn pic for some quick cash. But Zack and Miri realize that they may have more feelings for each other than they previously thought.

Scott Mosier is producing. Shooting is scheduled to begin in January in Pittsburgh.

Film marks the seventh time Smith has collaborated with Bob and Harvey Weinstein -- a relationship that began 13 years ago with "Clerks."

Rogen's recent credits include "Knocked Up" and "Superbad." Banks recently appeared in "Invincible."

Harold and Kumar sequel, yeah ok I can live with it. I thought the first one was a nice funny movie and had its place in the market at large.

A Harold and Kumar sequel that goes political? Yeah, no longer interested. Political comedies seem to lean more towards suck than funny.

only if Jay and Silent Bob make an appearance...

They won't.

I did read that Rogen was rumoured to be playing Zack and Rosario Dawson was to play Miri. But this line up sounds good.

Rogen and Smith working together? That makes me a very happy panda.

"Fish with tits.

Titty fish."

Tonight's Metalocalypse was great. So many great lines.

"I could have invented the floor, but I didn't."

"Well that doesn't mean you shouldn't get credit for inventing the floor!"

Apperantly, Marky Mark will be playing Max Payne in the upcoming feature film.

If he plays a mix of his character in The Departed with The Shooter then it could be an excellent film.

Also, I just learned that "GI JOE" is being directed by the man behind The Mummy Returns and Van Helsing. Guess we can put that corpse in the ground.

So I saw Transformers last night..finally and I really enjoyed it but this question crossed my mind.

So at what point was it a good idea to tell the Teenager holding the one thing that killer 2 story robots wanted that it's a good idea to leave the hilly deserted mountains and go into the big city full of innocent people and hide the thing that the 2 story killer robots wanted?

I've never really watched Ironside until recently. I almost didn't recognize Raymond Burr after first seeing him in Rear Window. Watching an episode just then, a young Harrison Ford featured at the end.

It's cool too see those sorts of appearances when you don't expect them, before people had really made it.

Saw King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters tonight at the local arthouse theater. Holy shit what a great movie. Easily the best doc I've seen this year and in The Top 10 overall best movies I've seen this year. Hilarious and oddly heartwarming. All y'all should check it out when it comes to DVD.

I agree with that. Such a classic story, you'd think it couldn't even happen in real life.

Which makes me wonder, too, what the best documentary I've seen this year was. There were some god ones, Kong and one about Joe Strummer in particular, but really the answer is obvious: Zoo. Fuckin' Zoo. Now that's a doc.

The best description of King of Kong came from Richard Roeper who described it as being the closest thing to a real life Christopher Guest movies. I think he hit the nail on the head with that one. If you like Christopher Guest movies, you'll love King of Kong.

I haven't seen Zoo but my brother has it right now from NetFlix. Maybe I should watch it while I'm down here. The Joe Strummer doc opens here in a couple weeks.

So my Top 5 Favorites of 2007 heading into December

5. Superbad

4. No Country For Old Men

3. King of Kong

2. Zodiac

1. Hot Fuzz
