Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 Frank ("Basket Case", "Brain Damage", "Frankenhooker") Henenlotter has a new movie in the works called Bad Biology. It's co-written and produced by rapper RA the Rugged Man, and has a soundtrack by Prince Paul. Seems interesting.
luke-o 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 I hated Smokin' Aces...way too contrieved, silly and MTV hack job-ish. Didn't say it was a good movie. It had plot twist just for the sake of having plot twist and was overall a pretty blah action movie. But Ryan Reynolds did a damn good job in it. come to think of it, all of the acting in the movie was pretty good. They did the best they could with what they had. And what they had was a shitty script. Am I the only one here who doesn't like Ryan Renolds? I just find him really annoying in every film I've seen him in with the exception of Amityville Horror remake. He always comes off as a poor mans Jason Lee to me. King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 Uh...have you looked at some of the box office grosses for movies starring Ryan Reynolds? It's pretty obvious, you're one of many. I don't hate the guy but I'm shocked he's gotten a chance to star in so many movies because damn near everyone I can think of that he starred in has flopped. He must be blowin' somebody. Unless he's inexplicably popular in the U.K.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 I've never been able to take Ryan Reynolds seriously after "Fifteen".

Brocklock 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 Speaking of De Niro and Pacino, they're starring in another movie together called "Righteous Kill" and who's co-starring? 50 Cent! 2008 Oscar for best picture in the making folks! 50 Cent being in it doesn't mean it will automatically be shit. Tone Loc was in Heat and that movie is incredible. Plus, the trailer I saw for it was pretty badass.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 I always thought that Ryan Reynolds was our generation's Chevy Chase. The smug, quick witted, good looking guy who finds himself in wacky situations. Difference being Chevy made three or four good movies back in the day while Reynolds has made none (Looked on his IMDB profile, the only exception I saw was Dick and I don't even remember Reynolds being in that). Jason Lee was also kind of a poor man's Chevy Chase before My Name Is Earl

Isn't Jason Lee a poor man's Jason Lee at this point? Starring with CG chipmunks aside, he's still doing pretty good. I really like My Name Is Earl Unless he's inexplicably popular in the U.K? I know a few people who more than love him. Going as far as to say that Blade Trinity was a great movie due ot his involvment.
Mik 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2008 "Are you a mexi-can or a mexi-can't?" "I can't see fuck-mook. I've got no eyes." Johnny Depp is so great in Once Upon A Time in Mexico.

Jason Lee was also kind of a poor man's Chevy Chase before My Name Is Earl That's a lot of his appeal. He's really hot. For you guys, I guess it's sort of like how Jessica Alba keeps getting film roles even though she's not really a good actress.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2008 You know, I honestly never realized Jessica Alba was supposed to be really hot until somebody pointed it out to me. I mean, don't get me wrong, once it was pointed out, I agreed she probably is. I'm just starting to be numbed by the sameness of beautiful women. What we need is a girl who is hot, but has a distinguishing hook to set her apart. Like the chick with the three tits in Total Recall.
godthedog 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2008 thora birch was our greatest hope for that for a while. but after 'ghost world' she disappeared, got blonde hair, and lost too much weight. then again, that was just a variation of the christina ricci appeal. luke-o 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2008 I've just started a myspace page for my first film, the links in my sig. The page is a little bland at the moment, I'm waiting on the pics to come from the friend. ... if anyone cares.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2008 A lot of Thora Birch's appeal went away for me when she made out with Fred Durst in a Limp Bizkit video. In the same year, Durst got to make out with Halle Barry in another Limp Bizkit video. Durst must have realized his band's popularity was fleeting and decided to make it with as many hot female celebrities as he could while he was still popular. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2008 Blonde hair killed Thora for me. I know she's naturally a dirty blonde, but really, the dark hair was workin for her something fierce!

King Kamala 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2008 Well, can we at least agree that making out with Fred Durst didn't help?
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2008 Fred Durst would be a cool guy on the surface. A tattoo artist, in a band, not a terrible looking guy... sure, he's a douche, but so are a lot of people. I prefer Ghost World Thora, but she's ok skinny and blonde sometimes: I like that. She's ugly pretty... which is the best kind.
