Man Who Sold The World

Movies you liked as a kid...

Recommended Posts

Aside from the obvious [insert infamous kids movie here] there were a few movies that I enjoyed with repeat viewings that still hold some sort of nostalgia feel to it to this day. Here's a list of mine:

1. Sidekick (the Chuck Norris film) :boxing:

2. Dutch

3. Surf Ninjas :9mm:

4. Cop and a Half

5. Barry Gordy's The Last Dragon

What are yours?

Guest The Satanic Angel

Little Mermaid.

I once watched that movie over and over for about ten hours straight.

Sidekick was one of those movies that cable couldn't get enough of. You could always find it on somewhere. I enjoyed it, though.

How about Three O'Clock High? Anyone remember that one? I actually got a DVD not too long ago and I think the movie is better now than at the time.

Ghostbusters II

It's funny I'm starting to remember all these movies from when I was a kid, guess it's time to go DVD shopping.

Star Wars

Ghostbusters

Neverending Story

Dawn of the Dead

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Care Bears Movie (the dark one)

Friday the 13th films

Predator

Suspiria

Hellraiser

Robot Jox

Judgement Day

Summer School

I think that's about it, I had a few more I'm sure but I'm drawing a blank. And some I don't remember the names of, some hardcore horror films my cousins used to watch every Friday night that they allowed me to watch as long as I didn't cry. I actually laughed which may have worried them more.

I remember seeing the old Adam West Batman movie when I was much younger, and I like it much more now that I can appreciate the camp. I mostly watched Disney as a kid, and now I hate the musical approach, but I recall their Robin Hood still holding up last time I saw it. For me it's mostly TV shows that I enjoyed, so they don't really count, I guess

Man, like 10% of these movies I either liked as a kid and still like/own, or, like Surf Ninjas, I didn't see until a few years ago. All of my friends are totally gay for Surf Ninjas.

And now I am too.

When I saw this thread I knew the first one that came to mind.

Three Men and a Baby.

I swear I saw that movie so many times when I was at my grandma's house every summer. She lived in Middle of Nowhere, North Dakota, so there were not a lot of televison choices.
