The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 This is a really lopsidedly officiated game. I buy that complaint for game 5, but this game? The reason Dallas isn't getting foul shots is because they're putting up 10-15 foot jumpers four out of five trips down the court. Part of that, though, comes from the Mavericks fearing that they're going to get hacked into oblivion whenever they go into the paint without anybody calling a foul. And that mindset, however silly it may be, does have a lot to do with the crappy officiating that virtually dominated the Miami games. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Wade got a couple phantom calls early, but unless something changes down the stretch, it's going to be the players on the court that decide the game. Does not erase the horrible mis-call on the Wade elbow, which woulda changed the situation entirely. Dallas would have been going for the LEAD with 25 or so seconds left. IE last shot. The Mavs should have blown them out and swept this series, and instead they'll end up losing 4 straight. It was a referee assisted chokejob, but a chokejob nonetheless.
