BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 The show started tonight, forget about it, just flipped on CC as it was starting and Charlie Murphy and Ashy Larry are doing the stage portion of the show.
BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 After that, I now understand why Dave ran off to Africa....
Mik 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 It really was a look into what he was thinking... But fuck if it wasn't hilarious. The whole revenge skit was solid gold, and the 2pac stuff at the end was hilarious.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 Yea, it defintely wasn't shit. But like the dying fat dude said, it would have got nothing but reviews saying 'its not as good as last season'. That said, I thought the Tupac skit was awesome.
Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 All I saw was the Tupac skit and I was rolling. I really hate to see it go. Still way funnier than Mencia's show or really anything else on right now.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 I basically caught the Tupca skit and I was laughing my ass off. I completely forgot about the show though.
Chazz 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 The Tupak skit was really funny. Everything else was eh.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 Damn, the only thing I missed was the Tupac skit. Up until the visit to the IRS, I did dig the opening skit.

EricMM 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 Anyone else get a little unsettled by them showing Chapelle bits w/out the man himself? Its very creepy, to me.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 There was only 1 bit.
AlaskanHero 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 I'm glad I'm not the only one who loved the Tupac skit.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 it was a ok show. It was great to finally have new material, but it lost its edge having not been shown until 1 year later and all the stuff with dave leaving.kinda hard to enjoy. at least Charlie and Donnel gave props to Dave helping them become known. the money sketch was okay, and i ked his revenge on that girl and comedy club guy sketch too (come on he pulled a Snitsky and punted the baby ) but obviously The 2pac skit was classic. Downhome 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 I say they should continue the show, with a new name obviously, even after these episodes. I don't have a problem at all with them milking the footage that they actually have for all it's worth.
Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 These episodes will be released on July 25th on DVD. Wonder why so quickly? Will they even be done airing all the new episodes?
BUTT 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 There are only three new ones.
Sideburnious 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 It was enjoyable, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of these skits (from all 3 episodes, basing on tonights episode) would have been scraped before the 3rd season, or at least spread over the whole season. Alot of them didn't seem particularly strong and would have more than likely a lead in for the better skits. Still, it's better than no new material.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2006 I'll be the first to admit that I didn't really get the Tupac skit. Is it supposed to be Tupac or some guy impersonating him? I don't get it.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2006 Tupac keeps releasing new material even though he's been dead for years. Edit: And when MrRant can answer a question about the humor in a rap skit, well it's clearly the end of the world.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2006 Well, that's what I figured, but I guess I just didn't find it that funny.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2006 I found the George W. thing in the Tupac rap funny as hell. I'm STILL ALIVE.....its 1994 yall.....
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2006 Anyone else get a little unsettled by them showing Chapelle bits w/out the man himself? Its very creepy, to me. Its not like he died or something.
Karnage 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2006 Anyone else get a little unsettled by them showing Chapelle bits w/out the man himself? Its very creepy, to me. Its not like he died or something. It could have been worst, they could have used a body double for some of the skits and have a Chappelle sound alike dubbing some lines ala Game of Death. On second thought, that might have been entertaining.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2006 actually maybe they can give charlie murphy a show and just use all the other regulars in it. o r not. why all the mind of mencia hate? yeah its not CS, but its ok. Maybe I just like it cuz I liked Carlos' standup act (actually the best part of M.O.M., is when he stands up and tallks about current events) plus his rapping shiek music video this week made me laugh a bit
Guest Bammey Report post Posted July 13, 2006 Well, I thought all the skits were really well done. Can't wait for the Gary Coleman in the mall skit next week.
Mik 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2006 That MTV Cribs skit was among the funniest things I've seen on Chapelle show. "I'm not even gonna talk about Africa, cause motherfuckers over there are starvin' to death. That's not ballin."
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2006 That MTV Cribs skit was among the funniest things I've seen on Chapelle show. "I'm not even gonna talk about Africa, cause motherfuckers over there are starvin' to death. That's not ballin." yea, a great way to end the show on. I loved him cuttin goff the trex babys head and drinking its blood the monsters sketch was funny only for Donnel as the Mummy and Frankenstein going postal at the office He sprinkled diamonds on his food so his poop was all sparkly, THATS BALLIN!!!!! Man Ill miss it The dvd is pretty cheap (obviusoly) so ill probably pick it up RIP CHAPPELLES SHOW 2003-2006
FroGG_NeaL 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2006 I watched the first episode from Season 3. Some of the skits were funny. The show doesn't work without Dave to introduce them, though. That shit was wack. I'll get the DVD too, so I'll have the whole series and the good skits that come out of these last few shows.
