BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2006 Something I was thinking about while watching Raw... Why do Edge and Orton always do two one-man Conchairtos instead of doing it E/C style? Two reasons I can think of. One, they want to individually spotlight each member of the team, hence they have it done one member at a time. Two, a one man conchairto is a lot harder to screw up than the E/C style, which at times didn't look like it connected that well.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2006 Hey, I might be able to make it to Backlash. Why go to Wrestlemania when you can go to the show filled with its rematches for less?

Two, a one man conchairto is a lot harder to screw up than the E/C style, which at times didn't look like it connected that well. I think these reasons are satisfactory. I especially like reason #1. When E/C did it, their role was the best tag team in WWE, but now Edge and Orton are main event calibur singles stars, so they need to do stuff to stand out. I thought about injury risk myself, but I never recalled anyone getting seriously hurt by an E/C Conchairto.
buffybeast 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2006 I don't watch wrestling regularly any more as I am deployed to the Middle East. Can someone clarify the following questions for me: 1: Who is MVP and where did he come from? Also, who is Cryme Time and who thought up this stupid gimmick? 2. When did Ron Simmons return to WWE and why? 3. What ever happened to the WWE drug policy? It looks like some people are juicing again. 4. When did some superstars change brands? When/How did Cena change brands? Thanks
Guest Toddiwod Report post Posted December 19, 2006 I was psyched to see the uber-jobber Brooklyn Brawler in action again. That took me book to the old WWF Superstars shows where it was always a superstar vs. a no-name jobber OR The Brooklyn Brawler. Just curious, maybe another topic altogether, but who's everyone's favorite jobber? Current or all-time... doesn't matter.

Guest Greg Valentine Report post Posted December 19, 2006 4. When did some superstars change brands? When/How did Cena change brands? Thanks There was a draft lottery last summer. Instead of having the draft over one night as had been done in previous years, each brand got six "random" picks which were revealed one at a time, show by show over six weeks last summer. Cena was the first pick for Raw and for a brief time Smackdown was without a world title. Luckily Batista was "randomly" the last person drafted to Smackdown so the situation was resolved. I believe Hassan and Daivari, Carlito, Big Show, Kurt Angle, and Christian all switched brands because of the draft along with a few others I can't remember. Kane lost a Loser Leaves Raw match to Umaga a few months back and appeared on SD later that week which explains his brand change. Right now a few superstars are going back and forth between Raw, SD, and sometimes ECW (Hardyz, MNM, Cena on occasion) for no real reason and usually without explanation. slimm44 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2006 Why do Edge and Orton always do two one-man Conchairtos instead of doing it E/C style? They're saving it for the 'big finish' match, when they both swing, then HHH, or HBK duck and they both hit each other.

Scroby 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2006 I don't watch wrestling regularly any more as I am deployed to the Middle East. Can someone clarify the following questions for me: 1: Who is MVP and where did he come from? Also, who is Cryme Time and who thought up this stupid gimmick?MVP is someone I think came from OVW whose doing a gimmick like Terrall Owens (I don't know how to spell TO's name correctly.) Cryme time both came from OVW, you may think its stupid but have you seen it yet? Its one of the greatest things on RAW right now. 2. When did Ron Simmons return to WWE and why? Simmons came back randomly on tv...I think about two months ago. Coach and Shelton were talking about how who was more blacker than Simmons randomly walked on screen, yelled the word "DAMN!" then walked away. He now weekly pops at some random moment on RAW and yells DAMN! Another reason to watch Raw 3. What ever happened to the WWE drug policy? It looks like some people are juicing again.Don't know what to tell you there. 4. When did some superstars change brands? When/How did Cena change brands? Who excatly do you want to know about? Cena changed brands after a draft in 2005....where both Cena and Batista switched shows as champions. thanks Your welcome.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2006 Could you fill us in on the PWInsider audio Downhome? Sure, but it isn't really all that much: - The reason why WWE booked the insane tag team ladder match at Armageddon. It's said that was done to make up for the shitty ECW PPV, as a special gift to the fans. - The story behind Fit Finlay slapping Josh Mathews at the Armageddon press conference. There isn't really a story behind it. Finlay is just one of the oldschool hard hitting type of guys, like Taker, JBL, and so on and that's just the kind of shit they pull, ribs and all of that. It wasn't planned or anything, it was just him slapping the piss out of him. Someone at PWInsider said that part of the reason it was done was because Josh showed up and didn't shake Finlay's hand. Yes, Finlay is that "important" backstage. - Why some in WWE believe DX is being booked "more hardcore" now.The word going around right now is that the serious DX, the "more hardcore" DX, is being done just because of the VKM stuff in TNA. They don't want people to watch RAW and see DX acting exactly like VKM is making it seem like. - The future for Joey Mercury in WWE. Nothing much new here. He'll be out for a number of weeks, and after that who knows. They mentioned that it could be a good idea for him to turn face when he returns. (Personally I could see him coming back as an even stronger heel. He was a "pretty boy", but when he returns he'll have scars and will be "disfigured". ) - A major WWE star coming to the end of his contract, and where negotiations stand. This is all about Tazz. His contract does end soon, and some people are saying that he's asking for quite a bit of a raise and other demands. They say to take that with a grain of salt since other people are saying that nothing's been mentioned about Tazz and his contract at all, but it is indeed possible that he'll be leaving the company when his contract ends. Just curious, maybe another topic altogether, but who's everyone's favorite jobber? Current or all-time... doesn't matter.

Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2006 Black Lushus must not have watched RAW or read the RAW thread. Maybe "Kenny Doane" sounded too stupid. read the Raw thread...no watched Raw...kinda sorta...that shit is a chore to watch anymore. for the record, K-Fed cuts a better promo and gets better heat than half the wrestlers on all 3 brands combined. that and "Condy Rice is a fiiiiine black bitch" was about all I remember from Raw. claydude14 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2006 Since I always figured Ken Doane was the son of referee Jack Doan, maybe they changed his name to avoid such assumption (I wikipedia'd it last night during RAW just to see if they were related are not, apparently not as seen in the spelling of Doane). Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2006 So WWE is booking DX differently in response to the VKM bits. I know the official line is that WWE isn't concerned about TNA, but this kind of reactionary booking says otherwise. "TNA" chants at live events probably woke 'em up.
