For me, and I've said this many times before, the mouth piece makes him look like Jaws from the James Bond series.

USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2006 heh when I saw him at the 5/27 Raw, he wasn't THAT bad...how old is that pic? He had toned up a tad by Raw...he did still have that gut, though. Wanna explain how thats possible? explain how what is possible? His arms were toned, his chest was more defined but he still had a bit of a pooch, like HHH...anything else? He also had no body hair and was oiled up so that may have been the difference. It's possible to have buff arms and good pecs but still have a gut, you know...bench presses don't flatten your stomach. I think he meant the fact you listed it as a May 27th Raw, which to the poster, meant you went into the future.

Guest Macaroni Report post Posted May 19, 2006 As we all know, the WWE tries its darndest to keep up with current fads and trends 3 - 4 years after they've already peaked. Thus, in a random burst of intelligence I managed to figure out why in the hell they signed Dalip Singh in the first place. Is it because he's really tall and reall roided - up? Possibly. Is it because he's appeared in a few movies already and is thus a somewhat "legitimate" star? No. IT'S BECAUSE OF HOMESTAR RUNNER! Don't believe me? Watch this, then watch this. The resemblance is uncanny. Obviously Vince McMahon, hearing about "Trogdor" and "Cheat Commandos" decided that he needed to cash in before it was too late. And yes, I am becoming a fan of Dalip, provided he's reduced to Tyson Tomko - like role of bodyguard for someone with actual talent. He could deliver awesome gibberish - filled promos and judo chops when needed, but otherwise stay away from the action. Case in point, the following scenario: Random Heel: "...and when I defeat you for the world title, myself and Khali will stand over your battered body, laughing! Tell 'em Khali!" The Great Khali: "BWASHANAGUUUURRNA! GUUUUURNA! BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" *Judo CHOP!* (Side note: I do realize that Dalip is speaking another language during his promos. That doesn't mean I can't make fun of his delivery, and the WWE's decision to have someone with such poor delivery seem even worse by not speaking English). Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2006 So I read the new Smackdown magazine (featuring Benoit on the cover) going over the Benoit article about what his favorite matches are and why and the writer fucked it up TWICE. At GAB 98, they said Booker T went onto win the U.S. Championship later that night. At NWO this year, they said that Benoit / Booker match was the final match in the 2nd Best of 7 Series, in which Benoit won. Just figured I'd comment a WTF here. I understand that apparently both the matches have historic falses about them, but care to mention them without you assuming the general Smark will know what's up? Honestly I'm suprised the NWO match doesn't ring a bell immediately, I even saw it live on PPV; but at the same time I'm not suprised at all.

Really though, I still to this day miss seeing Owen perform. He could've went on to do some great things. Edit: By the way, LordsofPain had an article posted the other day that said WWE has no plans for a draft lottery this year.

King Kamala 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 I just bought tickets for a Smackdown house show on June 17th. It's going to be my first WWE show since July of 2002 (Coincidentally enough, a Smackdown house show with a main event of Kurt Angle Vs Edge). I hope I didn't waste $20 on my cheap seat. This is the card from WWE.com; Triple Threat Match World Heavyweight Championship Rey Mysterio vs. JBL vs. Kurt Angle Undertaker vs. The Great Khali (w/Daivari) Chris Benoit vs. Mark Henry Lashley vs. Booker T (w/Sharmell) Six Person Tag Team Match MNM vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick & Jillian Hall WWE Cruiserweight Championship Gregory Helms vs. Super Crazy Matt Hardy vs. Finlay Scotty 2 Hotty & Funaki vs. The Gyminis (w/Simon Dean) Also featuring: Ken Kennedy and more! Everything on the card looks decent but unspectacular. With the obvious exception of Khali Vs Undertaker which should be craptacular. It should be interesting to see whether Benoit can carry Marc Henry to a semi-watchable match.
