WWE's TV programming reaches more than 15 million viewers each week, and its WWE.com site draws more than 16 million unique users, according to the company.

The heat between Melina and Mickie James originally stemmed from an angry online rant by Melina after Mickie debuted during the "Trish's #1 fan" angle and wore "furry boots" that Melina claimed was a blatant rip-off of her attire. No lie.

That's only if nobody that watches Raw watches ECW or Smackdown. I will admit that I was only thinking about the US at first, so 15 million might be a decent number. I don't really see 16 million unique views to WWE.com, though.

JBL undergoes new back procedure

By Jen Hunt

Written: March 8, 2007

In the spring of 2005 JBL broke his top vertebrae in half, and suffered a herniated disc and a bulged disc in his lower back in a match in London, England.

At the time of his injury, doctors told him there was nothing they could do for his herniated discs –- surgery would just aggravate it and make it irreparable. Recently, a non-surgical technique has been developed that is ubiquitous with professional sports teams for the treatment of herniated discs.

"It's basically your modern day traction," said JBL. "The DRX9000 is the machine, and it's what all the pro teams are using. It's what everyone is going to for lower back injuries instead of surgery. I'm very skeptical, obviously, but the doctor said it's not going to just make my back get better, it's actually going to heal it."

The tissue surrounding the spine that holds the discs in place is the Annulus Fibrosus. When the Annulus tears, the discs slip out and put pressure on the spine. The spinal decompression treatment JBL is undergoing will actually stretch his spine through a series of systematic movements according to body weight and tension in the spine. The process will allow the discs to relax and sink back into place, at which point the Annulus can heal around the discs.

"Its uncomfortable and you get sore from it, but from what I understand, it's not that painful," said JBL.

The injury resulted in a slew of health issues, from incontinence to numbness in his legs, and these issues ultimately forced him into retirement.

"The symptoms that I had from nerve damage alarmed me to a great degree," JBL told WWE.com. "I mentioned that to Vince McMahon; he didn't know anything about it and he took me out of the ring immediately."

JBL said it was disappointing to end his career at less than his best. Even though he tried to hide it, he couldn't do the things he wanted to do.

"My body had deteriorated where I was almost a parody of myself," JBL admitted. "Looking back at those tapes, it makes me sick that I had gotten that out of shape and couldn't do the things I wanted to do. I couldn't workout, and it was everything I could do to get through the night. By the time I traveled to the show, I could barely walk. I couldn't even stretch to warm up," said JBL. "So I didn't leave the way I wanted to leave. I left on top which was great, but I don't want the last memory of me to live forever to be the fat guy that wrestled Rey Mysterio in Bakersfield, Calif."

JBL is feeling optimistic about the procedure, which has an 86 percent success rate with only a four percent rate of reocurrence. He began treatment yesterday, and will undergo it everyday for the next six weeks. He already has plans for what he'd like to do when it's over.

"Hopefully before I go play golf in the middle of April at St Andrew's, I'll be healthy enough to walk 18 holes," JBL said.

I must admit, he was right. He was looking terribly out of shape the last few months before he retired. His legs were like huge slabs of cottage cheese.

I know JBL is no saint, but I'm sure it had to be frustrating for the guy, since he was originally booked to win the World Title from Rey at that PPV. He would have been the only guy since the brand extension to have held both titles.

Think he'll attempt a comeback? Since ECW is a joke now, I don't think it's completely out of the realm of possibility to put Tazz back on Smackdown and move Joey Styles back to Raw while Todd Grisham & Brad Armstrong take over ECW.

No, no, no and no! That is the worst possible combination of announcers. Not to mention the fact that JR isn't going anywhere, anytime soon.

I figured they'd move Cole to RAW and have Styles on Smackdown with Tazz and Grisham on ECW.

To be honest, i dont really care who's doing commentary, as long as it's not Tazz.

Well, I think it's pretty obvious that Tazz is made for color commentary only. There's been a lot of talk about Grisham getting a commentary role, and it would make sense if ECW is where they start him.

Bring back the team of AL Snow and Coach. Or bill demott and josh matthews (too bad they fired demott), anyhow that sucks I was really digging JBl in the commentator role

JBL isn't leaving the booth. Josh Matthews was a good announcer and should be considered if they have an opening.

The appeal of Matthews was him throwing out smarky shout-outs on Velocity. There's no way he'd get away w/ that announcing the major shows. JBL can get away with it, 'cause he's pretty much bulletproof, but there's no way Josh will.

WWE Raw’s Road to Wrestlemania Tour: Puerto Rico 03/08/07

Match 3: For the WWE’s women championship Melina defeated Mickie James.

During the whole match James sold her neck problems thanks to the botch huracanrana this pasta Monday. Also during the match, James broke her nose. Melina put her hands on the ropes during the final pin.

Either Mickie's extremely clumsy, or Melina's dangerously unsafe..

So now Mickie broke her nose also?

I'm sorry quit putting them in the ring together, Melina's is doing shit on purpose at this point. No one should get injured that many times against the same opponent. James has never given any indication before that she's clumsy or injures herself........Melina's unsafe to begin with and her dislike of Mickie James is causing her to be dangerously unsafe.

I'd like to see Melina wrestle Kelly Kelly next. And all those bitches on Smackdown whose names I can't remember because they're all interchangable and useless.

Nobody is perfect. For all we know, it could be Mickie's fault just as much as it could be Melina's. Just because we LIKE MICKIE MORE, we automatically assume it's Melina's fault. If Victoria kicked Melina in the nose and broke it instead of Candice, it'd be Melina's fault for being too close to the foot.
